I really hope this current top 3 won't break the record because "Wildest Dreams", "The Hills", "Stitches" is an iconic set of songs. Glad to see "Back To December" still on and I hope it reaches the top 30 during the holidays :') Also excited to see songs from 'Starboy' climbing up the chart, especially "Party Monster" which is my favorite Great chart!

Again, given the perfectionalist that I am, I really can't take how my original video had those wide side margins. So I spent a while fixing it and here's the new video without the wide margins :)

STARBOY FOR 10 WEEKS AT #1 AND GIVING THE WEEKND BACK THE RECORD PLZ what do you think is the likelihood of that btw since it's 3 weeks away now? also great chart as always! :) sad that Closer is done but I hope Alone (both by Marshmello and Alan Walker's new song with the same title) as well as Alan's previous song Sing Me To Sleep can do well

Thanks for the replies guys! Don't have time to do the quoting thing lol. I literally have like 100 paragraphs (that is not a hyperbole) to write for history due on Wednesday and I have like 3 other exams on that day rip :( Leo ✔ haha posted my video earlier this week to see if my new format works well with Youtube :) I'm slowly getting used to the new layout and I'm not too picky about it as before so I guess won't make too many modifications. born tbh I don't think the "The Hills", "Stitches", "Wildest Dreams" trio will be broken anytime soon... they're just way too legendary for me. 11 week of no entrances/exits into the top 3 is quite a feat, and the current top 3 is only at 6 weeks as strong as it is... And yep, I'm listening to Back To December quite a bit recently so expect it to start re-rising on my chart soon! It seems like BTD will be like my holiday recurrent song on my chart just like All I Want For Christmas Is You on BB lol (although it didn't chart during Winter 2014 and Winter 2015 - I kinda forgot about that song until this April, when it started growing on me again because I really wanted to go "back to December" because of how awesome life was in 2015 lmao. And now it's evolving into a holiday song) :) I'm loving The Weeknd's album! The album hype may die down next week a bit, but his songs still has a long way to go before they peak! Especially if they get released! And dang, "Party Monster" is also my favorite single from Starboy outside of the title track!! Xaprios Don't Let Me Down is truly getting a legendary run on my chart! 36 weeks in the top 10 - that's crazy! And it's directly challenging the record for most weeks in the top 10 (currently held by Taylor Swift's Style at 38). I'm expecting DLMD to stay on my chart probably until late 2017, and if it fares well, maybe even slip a few weeks into 2018! But sadly, You Don't Own Me is slowly growing off me... but it's had a great chart run! Definitely one of my faves from Suicide Squad @markg94 I have good news for you! Starboy actually has a pretty good chance at the record! Although album hype is gonna die down this week, it's point gap with Starving is way to large for the latter to have any chance of catching up. The only songs that could potentially take over Starboy in 3 weeks are 24K Magic and Sing Me To Sleep (Don't Wanna Know and In My Mind are a bit far off, and they might fall short... we don't know yet). And both songs are quite a bit off from Starboy as well (24K could catch up, but it's starting to slow down. But maybe it's just because album hype dying down), so I would actually bet on my first double digit weeks at #1 showing up soon! And that leaves a question... I have NO IDEA what's gonna be the next #1 lol... Yeah, sadly Closer grew off me a bit quickly, but Marshmello's Alone still isn't seeming to grow off me! Sing Me To Sleep definitely has a chance to challenge the summit in the weeks to come, and haha thanks for telling me about the new Alan Walker song! (goes to hear that song)

yeah if you liked Faded and SMTS, I think you'll like Alan Walker's "Alone" as well! I'm loving it rn (hence why its lyrics are in my status haha) yeah I really hope for Starboy to get it! Though at the same time I'm a bit sad about Starving getting blocked due to poor timing :( (it peaked on my chart in early-to-mid August, way before the Closer/Starboy domination and just after the ITAPII domination had come to its end haha so I'm glad it didn't miss out on mine, it deserved it!) but hey at least it's for a good cause if Starboy beats or at least ties the record! rooting for it to stay at #1 for a couple more weeks! Speaking of Closer, it's alright because there's always a song that burns out on us faster than others (and with Closer it's certainly understandable because of the severe radio overplay, lol). I do hope that Alone by Marshmello ends up doing well too, it's still a jam for me! :) looking forward to next week's chart when The Weeknd gets a second 8-week #1

Honestly, I'm kinda annoyed at s*** going on in my life rn. Other than pretty much failing every history quiz last week, my school moved the physics and English finals (and most science and english finals) from finals week in 2 weeks to next week for some stupid reason, and that destroyed my schedule. So sadly, I wasn't able to live up to my words by formatting the chart, and this week I need to post an unformatted chart as well... Also, I really need to have a more efficient ways of posting spreadsheets on here. It literally takes an hour to format it properly, any advice? I know George and MTS do it really quickly with their charts and Kworb updates. Anyways, here's my finals schedule over the next two weeks: Monday 12/12: English (ugh... my grade's 91% and there's barely anything in the gradebook so not too much leeway here...) Wednesday 12/14: Physics (My grade's high, but I kinda wanna do good on the final so yeah) Tuesday 12/20: Psychology (meh... grade's 95% so I just have to do meh on the final to keep an A) Wednesday 12/21: History (ugh... I have like a flat 90% now... At least 25% of the final is on the 50 states lol) Thursday 12/22: Music Theory (grade's way too high rn to care lol), Calculus (easy for me cuz it's technically the second time taking it) So I probably won't be posting a lot this weekend and last weekend other than on my chart and the YE DZ, so expect delays if you message me or something... Then Winter Break! Finally first semester of junior year over!!!

Such an important week! But I gotta study for finals lol so gonna talk about this real quickly.
Obviously, Starboy keeps its #1 position for an 8th week on its 11th week in the top 10. Despite the album hype ending, this still gained a bit in points. If this hangs on to #1 for another week at #1, it's gonna tie Peter Pan for the most weeks at #1 record, and if it stays on for another week (heh, perspective 10th week for Starboy falls on finals week, and that week's chart will be posted right after finals lmao), it will officially become the first song on my chart to score double digit weeks at #1!!!
And given what's happening below Starboy, it's actually looking pretty likely. Starving is approaching it's peak in points in around 2-3 weeks ish (entering top 10 on BB can change everything though. We will see. Maybe not challenge #1 but still, it will extend it's tenure at #2 for a while). Hailee spends a 13th week in the top 10 and a 7th week at #2, lengthening the record for most time spent at #2 without hitting #1. The Starboy-Starving top 2 run has also lasted for 7 weeks, and is just 1 week from tying the record for that (currently at 8 weeks held jointly by The Hills-Stitches and Stressed Out-My House).
Peter Pan fell out of the top 3 this week, logging a total of 23 weeks in the top 3, something that I don't think can be beaten anytime soon. This means that The Hills-Stitches-Wildest Dreams successfully holds on to its record for the 3 songs that spent the most weeks in top 3 without any other song coming in, at 11 weeks (Starboy-Starving-Peter Pan had 6). But Kelsea still holds a #4 position this week on its 26th week in the top 10 (meanwhile Kelsea gets hot shot debut with album track Secondhand Smoke and continues to rise with First Time and Yeah Boy). Peter Pan was ousted from top 3 by 24K Magic, recovering from the dying of album hype. This may serve as a challenge for Starboy, but Bruno does seem to be slowing down a bit on his trajectory and of course, Starboy's way too far point wise. 24K Magic spends a 5th week in the top 10.
Then comes Alan Walker's Sing Me To Sleep, a possible contender for #1 pretty soon, continuing to rise to #5 on its 4th week in the top 10. Alan also debuts his Alone this week, becoming the first time on my chart where two songs of the same name charted at once (along with Marshmello's song of the same title).
Under Alan comes a whole host of older songs that are clawing in for more weeks in the top 10, one wanting to break 30 weeks in top 10, one wanting to break 20, and a third wanting to break the record for most weeks. They go like this: Daya's former #1 Sit Still, Look Pretty recovers a bit 7 - 6 for a 27th week in the top 10, wanting to earn the 30 weeks medal. twenty one pilots' former #1 Heathens collapses from SNL performance last week 5 - 8 for a 18th week in the top 10, wanting to earn 20 weeks. The Chainsmokers and Daya's collab Don't Let Me Down spends a 37th week in the top 10, slipping 8 - 9, officially passing Flo Rida's My House for the record of most consecutive weeks in top 10 and second most overall weeks in top 10, only topped by Taylor Swift's Style (38 nonconsecutive weeks). All three songs look close to reach their goals, but can they? It will be interesting to find out. Also, if DLMD wants to break the top 10 weeks record, it's prospective 39th week in the top 10 will fall on the prospective 10th week at #1 for Starboy AND my finals week. So it'll be an interesting chart right after my finals!!
Meanwhile, Maroon 5's comeback Don't Wanna Know surges 11 - 7 and may be another competitor for the top soon.
At #10 and #12 are Don't Let Me Down's biggest threats to break, or even tie, the record. This Girl spends a 4th week at the top 10 slipping 9 - 10, but still gained in points and is close to passing DLMD, happening in 1 to 2 weeks. But that's key. #12 is Maty Noyes's In My Mind, and that's definitely surging towards the top. So next week, there's a chance that both songs can pass Chainsmokers and Daya... and it might be pretty likely too, ousting them from the top 10 and they will have to gracefully exit with 37 weeks in the top 10 (still great). But if DLMD can fend off one of these songs, it's gonna tie the Style record! And if it can somehow fend the two songs for a second week and also fend off the other potential top 10 contenders First Time, False Alarm, Back To Me, etc, DLMD is gonna take the record home with it! It's gonna be so close... And this all falls on finals week lol.
It's actually a very interesting week below the top 10 as well and probably a very critical week for the next few months on my chart, with newer potential top 10s rising/debuting. But sadly, I gotta go study for finals now lol. So enjoy the video and the YE "predictions/progress" for my personal chart so far in my spoiler! (oh yeah, and All I Want For Christmas Is You reenters stronger than ever before, so we'll see how much damage it does!)

yay Starboy! hope it's the first song to get double-digit weeks at #1! Though I also want Starving to get a week at #1 :( (reminds me of how Daniel Collins wanted UF to get 10 weeks at #1 on my chart but also for TOL to peak at #1 even for one week, lol...good times!) also good luck on your exams! Luckily for me my next one (well, two) is on the 20th so I have some time here

Wow, Starboy at its 8th week now!
My personal chart actually takes a while to format properly, but I'll usually end up modifying it throughout the week so as to make it less of an end-of-the-week thing that takes too long. The year-end predictions one, though, I just copy and paste points along with their songs and yeah, that one's pretty easy. That being said, I don't usually need to highlight too much since I only color the text for new peaks and debuts.
Good luck on your finals! I have my last history unit test along with that class's final next week. Not worried, though, since I have a mid-A in that class and AP gov is a pretty easy class in general. Then, I also have to do an English in-class essay along with a math test. But it shouldn't be too bad until finals week, which I still have time for. Out of my 7 classes (2 of which are orchestra and cross country), I only have two A-B borderline grades in Lit and Stats and Stats is easy but I just didn't try hard enough on like two tests haha.
Also, I really like the new video layout: the way stats are presented. If only I had more options on iMovie for mine lol.

Taking some time off from finals studying to reply (I think I pretty much got Physics set and English... ugh there's not much I can do. It's not really a final, it's just a test on Huck Finn. I got most of it (the important symbols/analysis, etc.) but honestly I'm not too good at English so I'm just hoping for my luck at this point...) @markg94 Haha, Starboy is looking pretty strong to get that double digit weeks at #1! (but of course, that's bad news for Starving... at least it's gaining more points than most #1 songs anyway so it'll finish very high on my YE/all time charts in the future). But obviously, Starboy has a few small challenges: overcoming that Taylor/Zayn debut next week as well as some final gains by 24K Magic as well as holding up Sing Me To Sleep for jut a little bit... and heck, Starving still has a chance given that I'm gonna watch Hailee's movie Edge of 17 right after finals, but my last final is in two weeks (so the week where the tracking period counts for that is Starboy's prospective 10th week) so we'll see what happens! I feel this is the first time since Wildest Dreams where towards the end of a song's run at #1, I still don't know what's gonna take over but I know it might/should happen soon... And haha, UF vs TOL: that happened on your chart too and man does that bring back memories from Daniel Collins's YE predictions though I didn't really discover Pulse/watch his predictions until Summer 2015, about time he left :(
And thanks! Good luck on the rest of your finals as well! georgetherunner314 Just one more question about the spreadsheets: how do you post the spreadsheets on Pulse? I have to print screen each separate portion of the spreadsheet, cut them in MS Paint, and combine them with this website called ofoct, and man does that take forever... Is there a way to convert spreadsheets to pictures easily? Thanks! Good luck on your finals as well! It's interesting how the class that's both iffy for us is English haha, I was never a super strong guy in English Unfortunately for me, I got the hardest teacher for APUSH so it's a struggle (I just got two 7/11's on two quizzes last week... hopefully there aren't any more of those quizzes...) I'm just hoping that the 50 states and 16 presidents (Washington to Lincoln) helps boost my grade... that's 66 points in the gradebook, but I'm still a bit worried for the final as my grade is so borderline... Nice to see that you're pretty much set in all your other classes Thanks! I actually don't create my captions in my video editing software. I found this picture online of the layout of the caption, then I used a free picture editing software (GIMP2) to create a template for where I would write all the text in, and all I have to do is to change the text! I then downloaded this free video editing software called VSDC, which unlike WMM, can finally overlay pictures on videos, so I simply overlayed my captions I created with GIMP onto my video! A few weeks back, I just had to change my software I used away from WMM because WMM has really been screwing me over recently, including randomly changing transitions as well as lowering the frame rate for around 1-2 seconds every 10 songs or so... You can clearly see the messed up transition between the songs "Honey, I'm Good" and "Sit Still, Look Pretty" on my all time chart, the transition between "Versace On The Floor" and "Party Monster" on the Week 102 video, as well as a few more. As you probably know, I get really bothered by this, so I just really had to change my video format and software I used... It took quite a long time making the video for the first time, but it definitely got better this week! Leo ✔ haha thanks! Most of the songs you mentioned are looking good to continue making gains or hold on to their positions! Sadly, Starving's chances at the top are diminishing every week, but I am watching her movie Edge of 17 right after finals, so we'll see what happens! 24K Magic has a chance, but points wise, it looks to be ending it's stage of rapid gains soon, and given that there's still a gap with Starboy, it might get blocked as well lol. I honestly am not sure of what's gonna be the next #1, I just know a takeover's gonna happen in around 2, 3, 4 weeks ish lol Sambalada haha I can feel the love for Starving out there :) but as I said to Mark and Leo, Starving's last ditch attempt at the top will come when I watch Hailee's Edge of 17. It's gonna be tough given all the big songs rising and gap with Starboy, but there's still a small chance... Slumber Party is also looking to have a Make Me... type run as well! MTSChart21 All those songs you mentioned are looking great for gains over the next few weeks (except SSLP but that's shooting for 30 weeks in the top 10 so we'll see if Daya can get a second song that achieves that feat, and if she does, she'll be the first artist to do so!) In My Mind is looking good to enter top 10 as soon as next week, and Sing Me To Sleep is a serious contender for the next #1 (along with Starving, 24K Magic, I Don't Wanna Live Forever, Don't Wanna Know, and In My Mind... man I just realized it's gonna be a 6 way battle for #1 soon ) Alan Walker's Alone is also looking to make some considerable progress over the next few weeks!

About the spreadsheets, idk if is the same, but I do my chart in a Excel file, when I finish it, I "print" it to PDF, after I take screenshoots and paste it on paint. When all the chart is in paint, I save it with the date, and finally, upload to imgur.com

For my chart spreadsheets, I take screenshots using Command + Shift + 4 (on Mac). Then, I just upload them to imgur and post links to the imgur pics, here.

MTSChart21 told me you can just copy (Ctrl+C on Windows or I think Command+C on Mac) the group of cells in the excel file containing the necessary info and then opening imgur.com. After that, click on "New post" at the top and then, without pressing anything, paste it (Ctrl+V on Windows or I think Command+V on Mac) and voila, you're done :) That's how I do it. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks guys for all the spreadsheet advice! I haven't tried it yet due to studying and participation in the YE DZ, but I'll probably try it next week when I'm done with finals and I can probably go back to posting formatted charts again!
As of this week's chart, things just got "a bit" more complicated... And you know why I put a bit in quotes... because in truth, it's kinda a lot... to the point where I have no idea in which direction my chart is going. But hey, the top of my chart has been static since like October. A little turbulence isn't always bad. So here's what will effect my chart and basically destroy all the predictions I made over the past few posts for the next few weeks: 1. Debut of Zayn and Tay's I Don't Wanna Live Forever. Although this isn't even close to Tay's best, I still like the song and it WILL do considerable damage to the top 10. 2. Watching Hailee's Edge of 17 next week will give Hailee an extra chance at #1... or not 3. So I took the physics final on Wednesday, and since I take Physics at a local college and not my high school (since my high school didn't let me take the class since I'm a junior), I listened to quite a few songs on the drive there (I took a bit of a long route there). Along the route, I heard a whole host of songs. But sadly, I felt like I did terrible on the final, so almost all those songs I heard got tied into my final... most of these songs are gonna take some hits, but most aren't even that important. But two of them: I Don't Wanna Live Forever and Starving (which are the exact two songs I talked about in #1 and #2!) may also be affected... And at this point I honestly don't know which direction either one of those is going... 4. Over the second half of winter break, I will be going to Alaska for a vacation, and the music they listen to there/what their music stations play is probably vastly different from ours... so that's gonna add to the uncertainty. I mean when I went to Carson City over the summer, it was enough to propel Don't Let Me Down back to #1, denying Better Place more than a single week at #1; as well as causing the debuts and initial gains by Treat You Better and Toothbrush and sparking the revival of New Romantics. A trip can change a lot, and I feel this one will change my chart considerably.
And on top of all that, there are so many songs competing for the top right now. Starboy still has the clear lead, and 24K Magic did seem to slow down a bit this week, but Sing Me To Sleep is NOT weakening and Don't Wanna Know is still pretty strong. In My Mind and I Don't Wanna Live Forever are also great contenders at the top, and of course, there's also Starving. The next few weeks as we draw a close to the 2016 calendar year will be a time where my chart will probably experience unprecedented turbulence. So be prepared! And hopefully you guys are excited!
Oh yeah, if you haven't read my post in the all time thread, I will be posting an 2016 YE chart with the changed tracking period (now December 2015 to November 2016) after I finish that countdown, in the form of another countdown. Whether or not I will do it on the YE thread, here, or a third thread is still undetermined. But I did calculate the points for the top 15 ish today. #1 is very expected (anyone wanna take a guess?) but #2 left me in shock. I thought it would finish at either #3 or #4 (I actually predicted #4), but when I saw that the #2 song finished above both the actual #3, #4, and #5s, I was like :o . (but the #3 was incredibly close to #2). I also actually thought that the actual #5 would be #4, but guess I was wrong. Anyone wanna take a stab at top 5? Also, if you haven't already noticed, since songs tend to have great longevity on my chart, songs that debuted later will not finish too high sadly (that kinda happens for all my YE charts)... The "Don't Let Me Down"/"Peter Pan" line is probably the cutoff. Songs that debuted in the DLMD generation have a fair game, while songs in the Peter Pan generation and later kinda have it unfair (although SSLP hit #1 after Peter Pan and Heathens, SSLP is actually part of the DLMD era. It did debut a bit later than DLMD and ITAPII but had incredible longevity on the top, making it hit #1 AFTER Peter Pan and Heathens, songs from the generation after it and the 2nd generation after it, respectively). But that's why I have another YE chart: the June to May YE chart, to compensate for these songs. And yes, you probably guessed it right (I don't know, but I'm pretty sure). For the June 2016 to May 2017 song, it will be a rough competition for #1 between Peter Pan and Starboy. But both didn't finish too high on 2016 YE (just like ITAPII/DLMD didn't finish too high on June 2015 to May 2016, but both will finish high on 2016 YE, Peter Pan and Starboy won't finish that high on 2016 YE but will finish high on June 2016 to May 2017... this way, everything is fairer). Feel free to take a stab at my top 5! I feel most people will guess correctly the songs in the top 5, but the ordering is quite tough.

The Weeknd f/ Daft Punk (9) Chicken077's Personal Chart - Week 105 (December 17, 2016): "Starboy" ties "Peter Pan" with most weeks at #1 as the top of my chart finally takes a pivotal turn. Also, the final song that has been on since the beginnings of my personal chart, "Shut Up And Dance", falls off with 104 weeks on my chart (ironically, on my chart's 2nd anniversary)
Italics songs denote former or current #1 song Bold songs denote the song received a bullet this week Blue songs denote the song has spent 26 to 51 weeks in the top 100Red songs denote the song has spent 52 to 79 weeks in the top 100 Purple songs denote the song has spent 80 to 99 weeks in the top 100 Pink songs denote the song has spent 100+ weeks in the top 100 Green songs indicate a new or returning entry to the top 100
So four more finals for me this coming week! History is obviously the tough one for me, with the other ones I'm not that worried about. I spent almost my entire weekend either studying history or posting on Pulse lol. So here we go, this week's chart is VERY interesting. This week and next week may be perhaps the weeks that define my chart for the next month or so as the era of the "Top 2 With the Stars" is coming to an end as we enter 2017. But that didn't happen this week, as: (btw, I tried what @markg94 said about MTSChart21 's method about posting spreadsheets and it worked! Unfortunately I didn't have time to color anything so here we go! An unformatted but hey, at least it's something to work forward to, version of my chart! I'll definitely start coloring stuff next week once first semester junior year is finally over!
Before we go into the top 10 for this week, I'd like to send off WALK THE MOON's Shut Up And Dance, falling off my chart this week with exactly 104 weeks on my chart. After the falloff of OAR's Shattered on week 103, SUAD's 104th week on chart is the first week where the "longest song on chart" is held solely by a single song, but sadly, SUAD only held that position for one week before falling out this week... With 104 weeks on chart, Shut Up And Dance was the final song that charted since week 1 that was still on my chart, meaning that this week is the first week in which no song in the top 100 has been with us since the beginning of my personal chart. Actually, there is still a song on my chart that was also on my chart in Week 1: All I Want For Christmas Is You. However, that fell out of my chart before reentering twice, so it hasn't been on my chart SINCE week 1. Shut Up And Dance still holds that honor. The oldest song is now Taylor Swift's Style, being with us since Week 4. Ironically, exactly two years ago, I first sat down to create my personal chart, meaning that Week 1 of my personal chart was EXACTLY 2 years ago, so SUAD spent exactly 2 years on my chart. It's been a great time, Shut Up And Dance... but now... times have changed... and it's time to go... So long, SUAD... see you again in the all time chart... Here are a few achievements by the song: -#2 Song of 2015 -#5 Song of June 2015 - May 2016 (Sophomore Year) -Probably would've charted on the June 2014 - May 2015 YE chart -5 Weeks at #1 -10 Weeks in the top 2 -26 Weeks in the top 10 -104 Weeks on chart -Jointly held the title for "longest time on chart" for 104 weeks (Since Week 1 technically, when every song held the position!) -Solely held the title for "longest time on chart" for 1 week (Week 104) -#____ song of all time What an awesome chart run... Now, let's get into the top 10!
So we start off this week with the tying of the most weeks at #1 record, with The Weeknd's Starboy hitting it's 9th week at #1, meaning it spent the same time at the top as Peter Pan just a few months back. Will it break the record and become the first song to score double digit weeks at #1? Find out next week! Starboy spends a 12th week in the top 10.
Starboy actually falls in points this week, with last week likely being its point peak. Meanwhile, Starving is looking to approach it's point peak very soon, as it gains very slowly. However, the point gap between the two is a bit too big for Hailee to catch up... But Hailee's movie Edge of 17 may affect my chart the week after next. I wouldn't rule out Starving's chances but it is still very small, sadly... Starving spends a 14th week in the top 10 and 8th week at #2, further lengthening the record for most time at #2 without hitting #1. The Starboy-Starving joint run in the top 2 also ties the record held jointly by The Hills-Stitches and Stressed Out-My House for two songs spending the longest time in the top 2, at 8 weeks.
24K Magic peaked in points last week as it begins declining in points this week, but it still holds a #3 position with 6 weeks in the top 10. It faces a challenge from Alan Walker's Sing Me To Sleep, continuing to make healthy point jumps 5 - 4 this week with 5 weeks in the top 10, pushing back Kelsea Ballerini's smash hit Peter Pan on her 27th week in the top 10 (meanwhile, Kelsea's follow up Yeah Boy received a video and I became the 305th like. It was released on Friday, however, so it didn't impact the chart this week. Next week, however, expect it to shoot up. Nevertheless, Yeah Boy rises 22 - 21 this week).
Maroon 5 and Kendrick Lamar's Pokemon themed Don't Wanna Know continues to make point gains 7 - 6 as it eyes on Peter Pan, desperately wanting to make a top 5. However, there is quite a point gap between the two songs, and there are a few songs coming up, so we'll see if Maroon 5 has the staying power, as the song is wearing on me a little bit. It does score a 2nd week in the top 10.
Maroon 5 pushes back Daya's former #1 Sit Still, Look Pretty 6 - 7, as it scores a 28th week in the top 10. It's gonna be close to see if Daya can make 30 weeks in the top 10... Meanwhile, twenty one pilots' former #1 Heathens holds at #8 with 19 weeks in the top 10. This can probably hit 20 weeks in the top 10, but 30 weeks is impossible unless it suddenly gets another point boost somewhere. And even then, unlikely.
Maty Noyes surges with In My Mind 12 - 9 as she continues to gain massively in points. This might be joining the current party at the top for a nice competition for the next #1. Maty managed to leap past Kungs's This Girl, which is likely to peak in points very soon. It holds a 5th week in the top 10 despite only peaking at #9. With the entrance of Maty and the holding of Kungs, we say goodbye to Don't Let Me Down, slipping 9 - 11 this week after a marathon 37 week run in the top 10. Sadly, it wasn't able to beat the Style record (38 weeks in top 10), but it was able to beat the My House record for most CONSECUTIVE weeks in the top 10, and is the song that spent the 2nd longest consecutive time in the top 10. Don't Let Me Down first entered the top 10 on the second week I had a point system back in April 2016, on My House's 4th and final week at #1 and when Stressed Out was still #2. It then had a massive jump in mid April as it emerges itself in the top 5, and quickly rose into the top 3, engaging itself in an intense battle with I Took A Pill In Ibiza and Better Place for #1 (when I started posting my chart on Pulse ). Don't Let Me Down eventually slipped a week at #1 but was looking weak and starting to fall, but a little vacation to Carson City/Reno/Mono Lake in which the local radio loved that song helped propel it back to #1, in the end scoring 4 weeks at the summit before succumbing to the Kelsea storm as Peter Pan starts it's marathon 9 week run at #1. It outlasted both of its opponents (ITAPII/Better Place) in the top 10 and even outlasted the Chainsmokers's next song Closer. However, marathon runs have to end someday, and this is the day where DLMD's legendary run in the top 10 ends... It will last, however, in the top 50/100 for a much longer time as it continues to rise on the all time chart. It's awesome 37 week run at #1 allowed it to score a #_____ YE 2016 position as well as a #______ all time position despite scoring less weeks on chart than most of the other songs near it's position on the all time chart (I believe it's the highest song on the all time chart that hasn't reached a year on chart?) RIP DLMD's run in the top 10...
Below the top 10, we first have the ZAYN/Taylor debut I Don't Wanna Live Forever at #12, being the highest debut on my chart since Starboy debuted at #6 a few months ago. First Time and Back To Me start stalling and top 10 status is now in question. Bad Things, however, continues to surge and is likely to join the top 10 fray soon. Yeah Boy, as mentioned earlier, received a video late this week and will impact the charts next week for sure. 80s Mercedes continues its slow but steady rise as it closes in on My Church's #21 peak. Slumber Party, Be As You Are, Chase You Down, Secondhand Smoke, and Sober Saturday Night also received some nice gains in the top 50 and is likely to impact my chart further. All I Want For Christmas Is You also surges 61 - 39 and is now stronger than ever. We'll see how much the 2016 holiday season can take Mariah Carey! Under the top 50, we have some pretty interesting gains, but I gotta go study now so I can't really talk about them. The debuts this week, other than ZAYN and Taylor, all came from the YE madness (though many of the songs I liked failed to debut sadly), the highest being Lauren Alania's Road Less Travelled at #56 and would've been Hot Shot Debut if not for ZAYN and Taylor. If there is one song from the competition that will impact my chart, it WILL be this one. So look out for it! I'm currently kinda into Lauren, so a few of her other songs may debut as well!
Pretty hectic week going on! Next week will be another pivotal one, and we will likely to know which song will be the likely next #1 (right now, I don't really know lol, many songs have the chance... Heck, if Peter Pan falls slow enough, it has like a 0.1% chance of returning to #1... seriously... especially with all the YE stuff going on. But I don't think it's gonna happen lol). So we'll see what happens!
{Top Songs of 2017 YTD}expanding to top 30 this week. Next week going to top 50 and adding songs to look out for. I will expand to top 100 probably sometime before week 10. Also, I may format this soon 2017 Week 3: 12/17/2016 TW - LW - SONG NAME - POINTS 1 1 Starboy 159938 2 2 Starving 135883 3 3 24k Magic 127009 4 4 Peter Pan 123189 5 5 Sing Me To Sleep 119632 6 6 Sit Still, Look Pretty 110451 7 7 Heathens 108720 8 8 Don't Let Me Down 105685 9 11 Don't Wanna Know 103636 10 9 This Girl 102890 11 10 False Alarm 95164 12 12 Dibs 88422 13 14 In My Mind 87878 14 13 First Time 83355 15 15 Rock Bottom 76510 16 17 I Took A Pill In Ibiza 74449 17 16 When I Think About You 73220 18 19 Back To Me 71302 19 18 Closer 66092 20 21 Stressed Out 62379 21 20 Let Me Love You 61516 22 23 Yeah Boy 59870 23 22 Make Me… 56572 24 25 80s Mercedes 54857 25 24 Can't Stop The Feeling 53070 26 35 Bad Things 51191 27 26 Alone (Marshmello) 51091 28 28 Words 50074 29 27 My Way 47770 30 29 Hymn For The Weekend 45746

Regardless of how mad I am right now (read this post and you'll know) Merry Christmas Everybody!!! EDIT: This entire post was written when I was on a rage rant because, well, you'll find out when you read the post. Now that I'm calm again, the best thing to do is to rewrite this post tomorrow or something with all the original analysis of the chart I had. But because this is such an interesting instance of me getting triggered, I think I will actually keep it. I might rewrite my original analysis though and post it separately. You guys can comment on whether I should just straight up delete this post/edit it out or if I should just make a new post and keep this just for the fun. Hopefully you guys will enjoy my rage rant and of course, the actual chart I'm so done with formatting. NO FORMATTING THIS WEEK BECAUSE I LOST MY ORIGINAL POST. Here's the chart. I'm too tired to even write the intro and everything in which I write which song is #1 at the top and the date. I hate the backspace button on my computer. I lost a post on the Taylor rankdown as a result as well. I'm so done for the day. I'm not even writing it tomorrow. I WAS EVEN DONE WITH IT TOO. Ok so from now on to prevent this from ever happening again, I will write all my analyses in word documents and attach them on these posts. lmao bye gurl. ugh Starving is robbed!! :( actually, in my original analysis I wrote up, I revealed that Starboy dropped considerably in points this week (the point gap between the two songs this week is actually considerably smaller than the past few weeks) while Starving is going to receive a point boost next week because I watched Edge of 17 this Thursday. So Starving will still have a chance next week! (but Sing Me To Sleep is likely to continue in gains, and if it gains at exactly the same rate as it did this week, it's gonna be an intense three way battle Starboy/Starving/SMTS next week). So we'll see what happens! Again, I lost all that analysis, and that's just like a quarter of the interesting stuff :(

Check your config in the forum. :) Dont be that mad, keep calm guy ;) *Leo was Kicked by chicken* There will be a very interesting battle for #1 next week between the two stars as well as Sing Me To Sleep! All three have a chance, so we'll see what happens! And thanks for the advice for saving the posts! :) Haha it was just a momentary thing tbh... This is the third post I lost yesterday (the first two being in my all time countdown and the Taylor rankdown), and this one was very important since I actually spent a lot of effort writing up this analysis, and it's probably my best one in a while. The movements going on in my chart are also some of the most interesting ones (Daya could make history next week btw! And if she doesn't Kelsea will be the one to do so! See if you can figure out how haha. Hint: it's about Sit Still, Look Pretty and Peter Pan, none of the newer songs). So yeah, it's just the wrong things happening at the wrong time, and all three instances were because I accidentally pressed the backspace button without the cursor in the post, so the browser treats that as pressing the back button... But it's all fine now, I was maximum triggered for like 5 minutes before I was like oh well, but I still kept that previous post because it was such an interesting instance of me getting pissed
