She nailed that Indy anthem. It's just so easy for her to sound so good. Waaaaay better than the last couple of anthems I've heard...

Kelly is coming out with a tour DVD VR experience for her entire Meaning of Life Tour. melodyvr.com/performance/kelly-clarkson/Looks like the app (MelodyVR) is free and available on Oculus Go and Samsung Gear VR and you pay for the concert...I think. Correct me if I'm wrong!

I don't know about y'all, but I still can't stop listening to "Never Enough." Makes me want more musical theater from her.

The Voice’ semifinalist Kaleb Lee to release new music
A year after his run to the semifinals on NBC’s “The Voice,” country artist Kaleb Lee is debuting new music. The 33-year-old Ormond Beach musician is set to release his new single “Cooler Weather” Friday. It will be available on iTunes as well as streaming services such as Spotify. “It’s hotter than it’s been all year,” Lee sings on a sample of his song shared on Facebook. “It’s cooler weather.” The song also includes references to Daytona Beach. Lee hopes to have more singles released this summer and a full album out in the fall. He said his coach on “The Voice,” Kelly Clarkson, will be featured on an album track and also funded the recording projectwww.news-journalonline.com/news/20190418/the-voice-semifinalist-kaleb-lee-to-release-new-music

It is a f**king SIN that “Maybe” isn’t on Apple Music or iTunes. How do you erase the album you fought for from your digital discography? Sorry to be in my feelings about it, but nothing to date matches the rawness of My December.
Not a (recent) super fan, so please correct me, but I feel like My December was when she became acquainted with Reba and the Nashville scene, and found confidence in her songwriting ability.
You want to talk vulnerability? A female artist creating a song like “How I Feel” with the line “I’m getting tired of believing/ I’m through pretending/ yeah I’m broken inside/ so I’ll sit this one out” is pure bliss to me. While dabbling into the soul territory since her debut, “Be Still” captured the beauty of soulful ballad with acoustic guitars and remains one of her purest displays of emotion and longing.
My December is one of the most vulnerable, raw bodies of work from a pop artist in recent history. The quintessential storyline of pop star creating hits, and then wanting to create “real” music came to life on My December. While everyone from Katy Perry to Avril Lavigne have admired Jagged Little Pill and wanted to create a modern revision, only Kelly Clarkson has been able to produce a body of work that holds a candle to the emotional, lyrical, and vocal depth that was required to compete with the cornerstone record.
Ending with the “hidden track” Irvine was before it’s time. Kelly did Lana Del Rey before Lana Del Rey existed. Kelly, your love is really something. Your heart, a complete mystery to me.
I am beating a dead horse, but it’s blasphemy that the album isn’t given more praise, or readily available on steaming platforms. Let’s have some “critics” revisit the album and get it the praise that it deserves.

YAAAAAAAAAS to all this I actually revisted the album today (although I listen to it every now and then) coz I got a promo copy of it with Did You (which I Loooooooooove) placed right before Irvine so I gave a listen to the whole thing. I agree with everything u said... the thing with MD is that u have to be in a particular state of mind to listen to it. I find it so cohessive, so raw... A few months ago I exchanged a few emails with David Kahne to ask him further details about the album coz I'm still in awe she got away with releasing such an album as her 3rd one and I also cant believe she kind of forgot about it (except for Sober) I wish we could get the whole batch of songs recorded for the record... coz its the one album IMO that the producer was able to capture her voice in its purest form. The live instruments and the rawness of the production fit the theme and the lyrics just perfectly

How funny...I have been revisiting My December the past week or so as well. I discovered that album (late, bad fan) at a time when I was really just feeling defeated. That album perfectly captured all of my feelings better than even I could. How I Feel, Maybe, Sober, Never Again, Don't Waste Your Time, Irvine are among the best songs of her career. Even the songs I wasn't as big on at the time--Be Still, Yeah, Hole--have aged really well and I just love listening to it when I'm in a mood. It may well be my favorite Kelly album to date.

I’m drunk but i can still see pretty straight But can you read a face just like the weather? MD is still available on Spotify, so even if it was gone from Apple there is somewhere to hear it. The iTunes store is being absorbed into a new music app; maybe some albums are temporarily 'disappearing' during the transition? Not an Apple girl or an app builder so idk how that all is supposed to work. I certainly agree that the album is sorely underrated.

The live instruments and the rawness of the production fit the theme and the lyrics just perfectly Would you share any of the exchange from those emails? I’m curious too I'll copy the parts that are specifically about this: I wrote: "Some outtakes did find its way to the internet (Racehorse, Too Much. Where Are You Now, Did You), but I'm confident there are at least 5 more tracks to be heard from this amazing album. Is there any chance to release them in the future or get to hear them in their demo form? I know there's Far From Home and This Perfect Day." He said: "yes, those tracks all exist. Sad that they’ll probably never come out unless someone leaks them. Couple of them sound like great singles, still. I assume Kelly has copies of them, although I didn’t ever quite finish them after all the weirdness started. I still have all the files and could get them all done, but I assume that will never happen, from my side." I asked: "Apart from "Far From Home" and "This Perfect Day", do u have recollection of all the tracks recorded for the album? Would those include Anymore, Come Here and All I Know? There's a demo cd that dates back to 2005 and it includes the song "Did You". You have writing credits on that one, so was that the first time you got to work together? was it during the sessions for the previous album or did you work on some tracks with her after that? Did you produce the tracks Get Away & Drowning (on that same cd)? Were those tracks considered later for My December?" He said "I don’t remember most of the stuff you’re asking, unfortunately. I do remember doing Get Away and Drowning. I did 22 tracks for My December, enough for 2 albums. But I haven’t looked at that for years, or Imogen. Although I had lunch with her last week. Sadly, the music will probably never see the light of day or dark of night. Unless someone leaks it. Kelly has all the mixes, so she could drop it all : ))"

I'd love to know the reason MD isn't available in Canada. If it's some kind of rights issue, I wonder what that is. I'm remembering that AIEW disappeared for some people in some (European?) countries like a year or so ago too. I don't know if it's back or not. Thoughts on whether Kelly would do Songland? Probably possible maybe? haha I personally think the likelihood of her doing it is greater than her not doing it.

Thoughts on whether Kelly would do Songland? Assuming the show gets a second season (which is highly likely given the only thing beating it in the ratings on Tuesday nighta is the show that airs right before it, America's Got Talent), I could totally see her being on the show. She's the queen of NBC right now, so it seems really feasible that they'd get her on there too.
