This is pretty clever as far as "list" songs go. I dig the William Faulkner reference. Queen of American literature.

Wow! And the only daytime show + only (very) new show on the list. So cool to see. I don’t want to jinx anything, but I have a feeling she may be in for a very exciting first Daytime Emmy Awards next year...

I thought that Jack might be teasing us with Kelly’s upcoming single title with his last post. I wonder what else he knows . . . 🤔

That nomination is awesome. So happy for her success. I'm afraid she may be working too hard though. I hope she remains healthy.

I wondered why Jack titled all the letters in what he said. I’m leaning towards that being the song. I guess she’s going to be daring everyone to love each other and be nice. I hope it works and isn’t just cheesy. These types of songs walk a fine line.

I just came here to say that Please Come Home for Christmas is my fav track off Wrapped in Red, and that the taste has really jumped out.

Katie Bates complimented Kelly and said it was her best experience on a talk show and listed all the reasons why we all love her. Now when your guests have a good time they’ll want to come back. The Kelly Clarkson Show is here to stay.

I have some vague memory of her doing this little gig for some kids or maybe at an assisted living place? It’s a fuzzy memory but I think she just kinda showed up and sang a few songs for Christmas and left.

The Kelly Clarkson Show is here to stay. This. And Kathy isn't the only one. It warms my heart for her to receive this kind of love from her guests. It must be truly gratifying for her.

I said this in the Holiday Rankdown thread, but it deserves to be repeated here: Wrapped in Red truly is her best album. She covers such a spectrum of emotion on that record. It doesn't feel like a side project at all; it feels more complete than some of her "regular" studio albums (and that is not a knock to her discography cause I love every single one of them). The vocals on that album are unparalleled. Of anything she's released, I think it comes closest to capturing how magnificent her voice is live. And the original songs really showcase how excellent of a writer she can be.

I'm not a Kelly stan - although love her to pieces since watching her on Idol in High School - but I came here to say that Underneath the Tree is the rightful heir to All I Want For Christmas Is You. I truly see it having the same success in the next 10-20 years.

Wrapped in Red (the song) is amazing and deserves to be a classic. I love it more than UTT and it's live performance in her Christmas special is one of Kelly's best in my opinion.

I still think MOL is right on its heels, but now that some time has passed I agree that WIR is her best album, and in the context of what it was meant to deliver, might actually be the masterpiece album I was waiting for from her. Not traditional that it would come in the form of a Christmas record, but it fundamentally changes what a holiday record could be IMO. It's a fully realized album that captures not just her voice at its peak, but also her talent and strengths as a songwriter.

I agree she’s had some great looks this past season but I saw her post and immediately thought “half of those searches are people just trying to figure out WTF you were wearing at the time.” Exhibit G(IRL): http://instagram.com/p/B5EalgVAG0S

Overall I think Kelly/Candice have had far more hits than misses so I do think it's a generally positive trend. I am trying to figure out this paper airplanes thing she has going on in your other post, though...I think I am starting to come around to liking it despite my better senses.

As fun and bubbly and perfect Underneath the Tree is, Every Christmas is my favorite original from WIR. I still hold out hope every year that she'll give it some love somewhere.
