To no one's surprise the artist with the best back catalog in the 21st century reached 10 albums with 1 Billion+ streams. In other news the sky is a bit cloudy with a 25% chance to rain later this evening.

Maybe not second BEST but he's the artist who pulls the most streams from his back catalog and despite being only 11 years in, by the end of the year, he'll have 9 albums with over 1 billion Spotify streams. Him and Coldplay currently have 7 albums with over 1 billion streams. But yes, Eminem is a beast. Only act who has seen major success in the physical, digital and streaming era. Can't say the same for anyone else.

While Beyoncè has been successful in the physical and digital eras of music, I can't exactly say she's been successful in the streaming era. Granted, she has only released one solo album since music transitioned into the streaming era and she didn't make said album available on all streaming platforms upon release, so it's hard to gauge just how solid she is in this current era, she's also a legend who has lasted well over 20 years and is still a cultural force.

I noticed that on After Hours, over 50% of it's current total streams are from Blinding Lights. Heartless hasn't even moved up to 300 million streams. In Your Eyes is the only other song making any strides. After Hours gained a lot in it's first few weeks and has now come to a grinding halt.
As of today:
Blinding Lights: 1,012,928,070 Heartless: 270,259,991 After Hours: 174,305,334 In Your Eyes: 170,464,121 Save Your Tears: 62,214,613
Every other song is below 50M streams.
At the current rate at which the songs are gaining, Blinding Lights will be his most streamed song by the end of the year with about 1.6-1.7B streams but because every other song isn't gaining nearly as fast, the album will tap out at about 2.8-3.0B streams by the end of the year.
Basically, the album will go as far as Blinding Lights can go.

Yeah, the "problem" is (the slight underperformance of IYE aside) that Heartless was released so well ahead of the album that it didn't really help it at all in streaming.
In the UK, the album has dropped to #28 already and hasn't even gone gold yet.

In the UK, the album has dropped to #28 already and hasn't even gone gold yet. I think the problem was him pushing so many songs (Blinding Lights most especially) so soon. Heartless could have gained way more streams if he had stuck with it as the only single for about two months. As soon as he dropped Blinding Lights a few days later, it grabbed all the momentum from every other song he had dropped before it and would drop after it. While, Blinding Lights will end up being the biggest song of his career chart-wise, internationally and on radio, no other song off the album will perform half as well as it did and he won't be able to score future hits off the album because no one is ready to let Blinding Lights go yet and because of that, the album will burnout way faster than other albums. In the streaming era, it's really important to space out the release of your singles.

^^True. For how huge Blinding Lights, will make the album dependent on it.

When you have the time, please do a breakdown of the Spotify streams of all his features since accessing the streams of all the songs he's a lead artist on is easy.

It'll be very strange if the daily #1 on US Spotify dips below 1 million. Right now only "ROCKSTAR" is above 1 million. I don't think we've had a below 1 million #1 track since 2016.
I really didn't figure the protests would cause that drastic of a dip in streaming (though it is still combining with the drop from the virus too).
