I would consider that video with the girls dancing a music video for "Sorry".

I wish Record Year was #15 . That is my favorite song of2016 so far. ##1 on my personal chart for 7 weeks. Now with the thing about sales and streaming. If they had equal percentages and a popular song sales drop hard what's the difference than any other week when a big song is released and then falls. Sometimes those songs climb back up once more people start getting into it.

With the boost from the album and movie's release it looks like Twenty One Pilots will land their third top ten next week.

Shouldn't TIWYCF rise to #2 next week?
Has the points difference between it in CT decreased at all?

Do we think Let Me Love You might dilute Cold Water's chances at climbing back up?

RE: Sorry music video. If that's what you want to call it. It was just a video of random chicks dancing to the song. Many people even expected a real video to be released later, but one never came. Maybe it could have something to do with the fact that those random chicks video generated 1.5B+ views. :) That video reacher 1.5b views because it was the one available on youtube. Let's keep in mind it was originally titled "dance video" upon release, which hinted at an official video following, but I guess it was such an instant hit that they saw no reason in spendng more money. Other songs, like Team, have a Dance Video and an Official Videom Sorry just got the Dance Video). Cheap Thrills' Lyrics Video has over 500m views now, and that doesn't make it an official music video. Which raises the question: are music videos even relevant anymore?

Drake now in top 10 for 47 straight weeks (A record among men) Really? That sounds off considering Confessions era Usher or FS/LS era Timberlake.

Do we think Let Me Love You might dilute Cold Water's chances at climbing back up? No. Cold Water is going to reach #1 in a couple weeks I believe. Let Me Love You could debut top 20? next week though.

Really? That sounds off considering Confessions era Usher or FS/LS era Timberlake. They said he just took the record from The Weeknd It would make sense Usher didn't hold that record. The Confessions singles all had lengthy runs in the top ten but it was all at the same time. Remember, Yeah!, Burn, and Confessions all followed each other at number one (with a one week interruption by Fantasia).

Usher could've had the record if he had a song in the Top 10 from 09/04/2004 to 09/18/2004. If he did, he could have a record of 64 straight weeks in the Top 10. As for Justin Timberlake, he could also had one of the longest consecutive weeks spent in the Top 10 among males if he had a song in the Top 10 on 02/03/2007. If he did, he would have been in the Top 10 for 45 straight weeks.

Where did you get the stats for TIWYCF? looks like it took quite a hit in streaming this week compared to the other songs...

Where did you get the stats for TIWYCF? Sales and radio estimates from kworb and streaming was simply an estimate based on the fact that it needed to have lower total points than One Dance.

Why is Head Over Boots still on chart? On the year-end predictions thread, rimetm posted a tweet in which Gary Trust said that it gained in overall points even without a bullet. Apparently, if a song falls down too many positions it doesn't get a bullet...

At least with radio people are choosing what station to listen to, though. If I'm in a restaurant or gym I have no control over what is being played, and I may not even be listening. I don't consider that to be on the same level as radio impressions (though admit radio has its issues, too). That's a point, but what percentage of that radio AI do you think actually comes from situations where people have control over the station being listened to? I doubt too much of a large percentage of a song's 100m+ impressions comes from people sitting in their cars listening to the radio or other situations like this. If that were the case I see no reason why AI would be THAT high and not somewhere closer to streaming's numbers. I've just always assumed that radio impressions were so high because of mass listening in public places where people can't just get up and switch the station. ^Those are genuine questions by the way. As a non-American I'm not aware if public places like stores and gyms and malls in the US sometimes play radio stations for music rather than stream it, as is the case sometimes where I'm from. TBH I have never really thought about it from this angle. I've always assumed most if not all radio stats are via private listening. I wouldn't think there was a way to measure how many people are in a public location hearing a radio station to be able to include those figures. I could easily be wrong.

Apparently, if a song falls down too many positions it doesn't get a bullet... 1: Is that what happened to Wrecking Ball last year? 2: I remember there being tons of country songs last year that dropped 7-12 positions that still had bullets. Does that rule only apply to songs on for more than 20 weeks?

Not sure what happened to Wrecking Ball, but for the second question I think these strange bullet situations won't always be consistent as it seems to be somewhat based on Billboard's opinion.

Bullets are given subjectively sometimes. Also it depends what the overall trend is across the chart -- for example around Christmas songs could all be gaining and thus only songs with the largest gains might get bullets.
