So Perfect Illusion is only 10 percent higher than number 3 on iTunes so....Top ten is almost out of the questino now. Does this song have any chance at all of debuting in top 10 with falling sales and streaming ?

Also, now that it's impacting in 2 weeks, do you have any predictions about "Love on the brain"? Do you think it will have a run in the top 10, top 20? Will it flop? What are realistic chances of this becoming a hit?

What are realistic chances of this becoming a hit? Ask any Rihanna fan, or anyone who has listened to the song, and they'll say it's Rihanna's best song. But yet again, the same was said for Kiss It Better, which flopped horrendously. However Rihanna seems to show interest in the song and has promoted it probably the best out of any of her new songs. I believe that with some more promotion and a killer video, we probably have a top 5 or a top 3 hit on our hands, either that, or it'll flop dramatically. Plus, the song will probably be helped by the winter freeze that's coming.

Lady Gaga's song is going to sell 91k according to Kworb. I was hoping for a smaller number but at least it won't reach 100k. I can't believe Closer's sales are still so strong - selling another 186k next week. Depressing. Overall digital sales need to drop harder and faster. I can't wait for the #1 song to not sell more 50k a week like in 2005.

I'm still surprised Kiss It Better flopped, I really thought before that it would be the hit song and not Needed Me which I didn't find remarkable at all. Love on the Brain is the 4th single but Rihanna is still very present with Calvin Harris and Drake songs, so the single feels like an afterthought now but maybe it could still catch on

#11: Probably won't be long before this one is Top 10.
#18: As we approach that time of year, this one may keep gaining.
#22: Leave this chart you piece of crap.
#26: Yes! Keep going!
#34: Ooooh! OOOOH!!! That can only be good news!!!
#38: I really can't help but laugh at this guy's name.
#46: I will never get sick of this one!!!
(insert obligatory comment about #61 and #63 here)

She should probably wait a couple months until "Too Good" has peaked because otherwise it could hurt its chances of being a big hit. Speaking of "Too Good", very happy and surprised it jumped over "Closer" for top ten on airplay today! I know it probably won't last, but in any case it should pass "Don't Let Me Down" this week and get that top ten back for a longer time. I hope Hot 100 top ten is next up for TG Lady Gaga's lead single dropped in digital sales so fast... Will it make Top 5? probably not. even top ten is not looking too likely at this point

Just her Billboard performance alone had the somg debut at 83. Kiss It Better flopped due to no promotion, a lousy video, and Needed Me overriding it.

Why is Gaga fading so mercilessly?? Perfect Illusion is not a bad song at all! Is it just because of her awful Artpop era that no one cares about? I still think she's an interesting and admirable figure

Gaga hasn't been relevant musically in a few years now, which is awhile in pop music. There was obviously general interest in "PI" right away, but from what I can tell the reaction to the song has been fairly blah. That isn't going to get you sales. I'm not sure what is confusing.

"Hello" felt even more disappointing for me than "Perfect Illusion" (single not the album) and yet it was a smash #1 hit, sometimes I really don't get general public

Lady GaGa's last single was G.U.Y and that barely made the chart, so before she went on pop hiatus, she was on the decline. And the years she was away in the pop scene A LOT HAS CHANGED in the charts. She still needs a lot to work on to be competitive in the charts again. Maybe she can still do it. Rihanna after a lukewarm year with FourFiveSeconds, BBMM and American Oxygen, was stil able to reclaim her chart dominance this year. One hit single could change things

All of which were emotional songs with big notes. Perfect Illusion sounds nothing like Applause, Born This Way, Bad Romance or Poker Face.

Does GAGA have any chance at a Top 10 DEBUT? Not likely - unless they release the video and/or do something to spike sales by the end of the streaming & sales tracking week this Thursday.

As a more casual Gaga fan, I can say PI does nothing for me. There's just no real hook to the song...she's belting it out but there isn't much of a melody. Her theatrics here seem out of place. And that stomping 4-on-the-floor beat sounds dated now. Of course she's still a star and always will be but it feels like she's out of touch with current pop trends. Moving into acting and theater and keeping her core fan base (while leaving the pop charts behind) will probably be her goal going forward.

My initial reaction was "this sounds like theme song from an off-Broadway Pat Benatar one-woman show"
