How about the fact that, in the calendar year 1988, each of the following songs hit the CHR top 40?
I Don't Want To Live Without You I Don't Wanna Go On With You Like That I Don't Wanna Live Without Your Love I Don't Want To Be A Hero I Don't Want Your Love

I don't know if it counts but the current #1(WAP) and the last #1(Watermelon Sugar) both have the letter W in the song title.

Also, the B-side of Reddy's first hit, "i Don't Know How To Love Him" was "I Believe In Music", which was written by Mac Davis! We lost in 2020 at least one other act to have a #1 in 1972: Bill Withers. Pray for Carly Simon, Roberta Flack & Johnny Nash.

Al Green qualifies for the list too. But I figured he's good.

Sad situation to bring up this but...
The band Van Halen mostly performed their own material, but did chart with 3 cover songs: - Pretty Woman originally by Roy Orbison
- You Really Got Me by The Kinks
- Dancing In the Street by Martha and the Vandellas
In each case, the original versions of the song first charted in 1964.

Here's a good one:
Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" re-enters the Hot 100 at #21 this week.
In 1977 the followup single to "Dreams" was "Don't Stop."
And this week, debuting at #30? A new song by Megan Thee Stallion featuring Young Thug called..."Don't Stop."

From the 10-24 chart in the Billboard Hot 100:
New Arrivals This Week: #58 Bebe Rexha feat. Doja Cat - Baby, I'm Jealous #95 Kelsea Ballerini - hole in the bottle #98 Clairo - Sofia
All of the new entries' placement either had the numbers 5, 8, and 9.

Here's a coincidence from last week worth mentioning.
So, on the week of October 17th, 2020, "Circles" by Post Malone left the top 20 for the first time in its legendary run. It dropped to #22. Right above it, at #21, "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac made its remarkable return to the charts thanks to a TikTok viral phenomenon.
Given that Post said "Circles" was inspired by Fleetwood Mac, it's interesting that they ended up back-to-back on the charts.

Bichota and La Jeepeta remix are next to each other in the Global 200. Both songs mention the word 'Jeepeta' in its lyrics.

Post Malone's Hot 100 run lasted exactly the length of the Trump administration.
Congratulations' first week (technically second, but the streak began when it re-entered) was on January 21st, 2017, the day after Trump's inauguration.
Circles' final week was November 7th, 2020, the day the presidential race was officially called for Joe Biden.

There are currently hits in the Top 40 entitled Dynamite and Control.
Back in the 1980s, two completely different songs with these titles were hits for siblings Jermaine and Janet Jackson.

Well, if Iโm being pedantic, thatโs two months shorter than the administration, which ends in January. Itโs the exact length of the non-lame-duck period of his administration, which is still a really cool coincidence even if it sounds less catchy

The new songs by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus debuted exactly one position below songs from them that were already charting in the ARIA Singles chart this week.

Now that the 2020 YE chart is out, here are two more: - Hard To Forget is #69 on the 2020 YE (if you know the subject matter of the song, this should be extremely funny to you) - Kane Brown's 2 hits on the 2020 YE are directly next to each other (Be Like That at #88 and Homesick at #89)
