Lead single from Little Mix's upcoming fourth album called "Shout Out to My Ex", which will be released next Sunday after the first performance of the track at The X Factor.

They always have stellar singles despite generally lackluster albums. "Black Magic" was a really great pop song, so I'm looking forward to this.

The chorus sounds identical to Ugly Heart. But I like it.

The chorus sounds identical to Ugly Heart. But I like it. The comparison video that Idolator posted is out of control. This is so similar. But I loved "Ugly Heart", so I like this too. :kii:

I'm starting to wonder if this is going to be sent to US radio. I don't think it was in their plans. The sound doesn't really fit any better than Black Magic (which has more or less the same production and writing team). My sense is that they were planning to use this as a safe hit to sell tickets and albums to the UK/Australia/etc. through Christmas, then come with a big US collaboration + production to go with their opening slot on the Dangerous Woman tour early next year.
But the numbers look pretty tempting, don't they? It's holding remarkably well with no promo and it's absolutely crushing in all of their base countries, not to mention performing well in regions like Scandinavia and South America which were always marginal at best for them.

I doubt this will be their US breakthrough. As mentioned above, SOTME and Black Magic are pretty sonically similar and I'd argue Black Magic is the stronger song of the two.

I could see this being a middling, sleeper hit for them, but I highly doubt it's going to make them huge in the U.S. if "Black Magic" failed to do so. This is a good pop song, but it's relatively faceless and not different enough from their prior material to make me think this is what's gonna do it for them.

Still cant get over the fact that Black Magic didn't go atleast top 10. That song was pop perfection :(

Yeah, they had to try this. Black Magic was just slightly short of having the numbers to be a hit (right, experts?) and this track's opening has completely blown it away everywhere, including North America. They needed to hop on it before the video release on Friday.
I'm praying that radio will still give them a fair shot with their (probable) planned US-friendly second single if the public spits this one out.

I feel like this is going to have a lot of trouble getting famous because there's a lot of people taking Zayn's side in the issue

I like it. Buts it's a blatant ugly heart rip off which takes away from how good of a pop song it is.

It's out in an hour!
They seem to be getting good international traction despite the lack of promo, still top 30 iTunes (though falling) and #72 US Spotify. Also #35 on global Spotify which is already a record for them even though they haven't started their UK impact week yet. :)

If this becomes a hit and "Ugly Heart" could not I'll be pissed. This is like a watered down version of that song.
... Which means I still kinda like it.

When I first heard this, I instantly thought of "Ugly Heart." That s**t is STILL my jam. I really like this, too. It's just a slightly more amped up "Ugly Heart," and I will not tolerate this becoming a hit over UH. Btw, Simone Battle >>> Everyone in "Little Mix" and "GRL." Still miss her.

Least favorite single from them to date tbh, but it isn't bad by all means. Just a lot weaker
Speaking of singles, to this day, I still wish RED PLANET was a single Awesome song + T-Boz
