 Starboy finally passed Closer in streaming. Granted so far it's just one day, but it's nice to finally see it happen. |

I don't see Closer going to 14 weeks. Maybe 12. Depends when either Starboy or 24K Magic dethrone it. I want it to be both after each other but I'm not sure which one will be first.

Closer deserves 200+ m AI IMO. Didnt realize Heathens finally surpassed Ride AI's peak, but seems to peak in 1-2 weeks.
I want ITAPII to be the next SUAD but now is falling :(

Looking forward to next weeks chart writeup and Billboard explaining how rare 10 weeks at #1 on the Hot 100 is. After all, it will be JUST the 33rd time in chart history dating all the way back to 1958 that this happened. (Or we could say, the just the 3rd time in 12 months)
Even this week we are at the 48 times in chart history reaching the 9 week mark. (and 4th in the last 12 months)

Statistics are a fun thing, you can make them say anything you want. Another way on this same stat. Since 8/16/1992 chart when Boyz II Men spent the 1st of 13 weeks at #1, there have been 31 instances. This is the 1265th chart week since the first Boyz II Men #1. 366 weeks have been filled by just 31 songs or 29% of the time! It is still a good feat, but at some point, the word "rare" needs to be changed. |

Little Big Town released their new songs to iTunes today?!?! This Thursday release is getting OOC; it's not like LBT is a big international act, so they could have just released in the U.S. on Friday and released internationally at that time and not have lost anything chart-wise. Weird.

Wow, Don't Wanna Know took a kinda bit hit right there. But what exactly is the "8th day effect"?
And if TIWYCF continues its descent quick (or if Gold peaks), 24K Magic should be in that Top 10 by Monday before the airplay tracking week ends.
