Naturi became iconic the second that chicken leg touched her face.
The only relevant Sugababes for the public were Keisha, Mutya, and Heidi (you know, the ones with lots of hits and didn't eerily sound like the person they replaced), with a lower-tier mention for Siobhan amongst acne victims.

I will not allow you to shade Naturi. She's the only one of them with a career. I was about to quote that and post which iteration are we talking about? Pre or post-KFC incident I can't even recall the name of the replacement when she left the group. I am so at their "food fight". I just googled it. How was this not on the front page of all the newspapers?

Before she got kicked out, Naturi was definitely the least popular in 3LW, but it was because they never let her sing! (Playas Gon' Play is the exception, but the majority of both albums is just Kiely and Adrienne going back and forth on lead). But she was the lead singer!!

More than Kimberly though? Yeah, I agree with this. I think most people recognize Kimberly as the most worthless one.

Not really unpopular, but in Fall Out Boy Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley tend to get overlooked despite their musical abilities and contributions. In the press, at least, it's mostly Patrick Stump this and Pete Wentz that.
From One Direction, I think people tend to forget about Louis and Liam, at least outside the band. The others either have solo hits or, in Harry's case, at least an extra amount of media attention.
From One Republic, everyone but Ryan Tedder.

More than Kimberly though? Kimberly has the Cheryl connection that the stans love. Actually, now that I think about it, Sarah is the least popular. I actually forgot about her when thinking of the girls' popularity .

Which doesn't make sense bc Kiely was utterly untalented and Naturi was probably their best vocalist. Oh wait, I forgot her mother was their manager.

Not too much on my girl Mel C. She had the most hits and biggest selling albums from any Spice Girl member.

Can we list the least popular member of recent groups? Ally - Fifth Harmony BTS? BlackPink? I recently watched a video about how Jisoo in BLACKPINK is mistreated by fans and the group's collaborators so I'm guessing her. Who would you say was the least popular Spice Girl? Tempted to go with Sporty but not sure... Not too much on my girl Mel C. She had the most hits and biggest selling albums from any Spice Girl member. I agree that Melanie C is far from the least popular in Spice Girls. She had the most successful solo song of them all, and holds 3 of the top 5 spots according to Official Charts Company of the UK. I'd go with Victoria, musically speaking.

One Direction - chart success-wise, it's obviously Louis Tomlinson. Harry and Zayn has a #1 (Harry notched several Top 10s already), Liam has a Top 10 while Niall got close. I think Louis is yet to notch a solo Top 40 hit.
BLACKPINK - Jisoo is commonly mistreated for being given few lines in some of their top hits like Kill This Love and How You Like That.
Fifth Harmony - Ally Brooke is hot (e.g. "All In My Head"), but darn she's yet to have a real hit that I know. At least Lauren and Dinah Jane had some.

Musically speaking, none of them were terribly successful solo, but I'd say Victoria put in the least effort to make a solo career because her interests were elsewhere.

I think Louis is yet to notch a solo Top 40 hit. On the Hot 100 Louis barely made the top 40 as a solo lead artist with "Back To You", featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals. It peaked at #40, his best showing there so far. It did somewhat better at CHR radio reaching #24, where he's also made the top 40 with "Just Hold On" and "We Made It". But even there he has yet to reach the top 20 on his own, while his four bandmates have all hit #1 (something the group never did.)

I'd say Mel C and Geri were moderately successful. Mel C has 3 #1s and 3 more Top 5 hits, while Geri has 4 #1s and 2 more Top 5 hits. Comparing side by side, Geri's hits were more local and her hot streak ended quickly in 2001, while Mel C reached Top 15 as recent as 2013 (Geri's last appearance in the region was in 2004), and her hits outsold Geri's in the UK in the long run, too. In terms of relevancy to the public, I definitely wouldn't put Victoria last as she's probably the most talked-about spice these days. Mel B also remained in public conscience through her role as a judge on Got Talent and X Factor. I'd say Geri or Emma are the least popular in that sense.

Even though she still releases music, Mel C was never really a "popular" public figure the same way that Victoria and, to a lesser degree, Geri and Mel B were/are in the UK. She's always been very reserved and never really a topic of conversation after her initial solo career success. The same for Emma. In terms of relevancy to the general public right now, no way Geri is the least popular (especially in the UK). I would say it's probably Emma and then Mel C.
Speaking of solo careers, I would say Geri's peak felt bigger (she even went gold in the US with barely no promo) but Mel C definitely has the longevity (which makes sense considering she's the most musically talented of the 5)

I'm not in the UK obviously but I feel like people around me know Geri Halliwell because of the Union Jack dress and maybe because leaving the group. Emma Bunton is not a name that would ring a bell to most. Emma, Geri and Mel C are all pretty forgotten, but at least Mel C still makes music?

Yeah, I mentioned the UK because that's where they live/are from. As someone who was a huge spice fan back in the day and who still follows (even if not super closely) their lifes/careers, I would rank them in terms of popularity:
In the group: Geri - Emma - Mel B - Mel C - Victoria As solo music artists: Mel C - Geri - Emma - Mel B - Victoria As current public figures (using the UK media as reference): Victoria - Mel B - Geri - Mel C - Emma

Yeah I think I completely agree with those 3 categories. Mel B and Victoria really turned it around!

They definitely did. They were able to find a way to re-brand themselves completely.
It's a shame Mel B's solo career never really took off... she was the one I felt had the perfect package for a solo career
