I remember that song. Used to love it back in 2013, overplay killed to me. Also, I gave it #1 too :)

The big news; is Week #4 for "Roll UP" at the top of the chart. This is the first song I put on when I wake up. The song's vibe gets me in great spirits and full on NRGetic mode everyday. Strong movement from Kings Of Leon as they take "Waste A Moment" four slots up to #6. This week ; the synthpop band ; LGHTNNG, score their first Top 10 song with "Keep It Together" rising up 3 spots to #10. Nickelback's latest rocker; takes honors, for biggest jump of 10 slots from #39 to #30 and my ;#1 song of 2016-from the Freeweights ;is getting ready to bid farewell to the top 50, as they come in one last time at #50. This week I debut a couple of older songs that have been hanging around the HOT LIST for a few weeks now. One is from Indie Pop band; SYKES and the other from Digitalism with the very 80's sounding "Go Time". The highest debut goes to DREAMCAR for "Kill For Candy". This is another quick debut; since I barely mentioned the song last week. It sure sign of a huge, future ,#1 ,song. A few MVs and covers round off this week's chart highlights. Once Again ;debuts in Green, Significant moves in Blue , and song's peak in ()

HOT List: let's start off this week's new music with single; #3 from ,Stitched Up Heart called "Catch Me When I Fall". Their prior two singles have already gone Top 10 om list; so this one has a good chance of following trend. Incubus are also back with a new hot rocker called "Nimble Bastard". Another song that is tailor made for my chart is the new one from Papa Roach called "Help". This one should give them a nice comeback hit on my chart. and last , but not least is single #4? from The 1975. I like this one. Sounds like it could have came off The Cars "Hearbeat City" album. Maybe even Ric Ocesek's "Emotion In Motion" It's my favorite new song called ; "A Change Of Heart". My new adds sound too mainstream? Not too worry; I'm not going mainstream yet, but a lot of mainstream rock songs ; at the moment, are kicking ass. Next week, believe it or not, I might add a new Coldplay song, but not the one you probably thinking of? Stay tuned.

Nice to see U-Turn in the top 10, it made the top 30 of my chart last summer. I caught Kill for Candy on the radio the other day and liked what I heard. It may make an appearance on my chart too in the coming weeks. Haven't heard the new 1975 single yet but I should really get around to that.

Fitz and the Tantrums continue their endless weeks; at number 1 ,streak with AFI and Green Day; patiently waiting their turn. That wait could be longer they they anticipate; since Kings Of Leon, make a strong move into the top 5? This week; two songs enter the top 10. First is a great Powerballad from Pop Evil called "If Only For Now". This also marks Pop Evil's first Top 10 hit on my charts. The other one is Young The Giant's "Silvertongue". Steadily but surely this one has climbed up my charts and it's barely refueling for round two, so this could turn out to be a big hit in the weeks to come? We have 4 debuts this week. Two Indie Alternative songs and two Metal rockers. First is Bastille, who are back with single #2 from thier latest album. We also have the return of MisterWives with a new song called "Machine". MisterWives; have been consistently on my chart, since the debut of "Reflections", a few years back. Their high debut this week also boosts "Not Your Way" back into my top 20. The two Metal debuts are likewise great. Bulletrain return to my lists with "Fear" and Seether graduate from my Metal chart onto my Top 50 with a proper rocking song called "Let You Down". I dare say it could be one of my favorite male sung Rock songs of the year. Including both Alter Bridge songs combined, but time will tell ;if that becomes a fact? I created a new sleeve art for Stitched up Heart's new single. That and a few MVs round off this week's chart highlights. Just shy of 40 weeks, but it's time to say goodbye to my #1 song of 2016. Sad this song is leaving my chart? Not too worry. I already got my ear on the next Free Weights songs that I plan to chart next.

HOT List: A few new songs are ready to bust out, so lets start off with some uplifting Indiepop from Myzica called "We Belong Together" The synth solo towards the end of the song is to die for. Next we have some new New Wave from Kindest Cuts called "F.D.N.E". Sounds a lot like 80's Depeche Mode. Next we got the latest from Sundara Karma called "She Said". I came across them on Soundcloud; way before Alt started charting them. I hope this new song performs better than "Loveblood" did? Lorde ;is next up with her new song "Green Light". It's not as strong as her previous singles, but I always dig a good Lorde song; vocally. Finally; Lemon Demon, returns with "Touch-Tone Telephone". This song has already made appearances on two members' charts. I guess I'm the 3rd or 4rth member charting it. If you love 80's New Wave /novalty songs; than this is your song.

This week we have a brand new #1 song. Don't look surprised, because AFI's; Blood album, is one of the most popular in my country. Also K-POP sensations; Brave Girls; score thier first Top 3 hit on my chart. Still climbing up the chart are Pop Evil and Young The Giant and Letters From The Fire; who score thier first top 10 with their rocking smash; "Worth The Pain". Knocking out a couple of top 20 songs; causes quite a big stir on my chart; with most songs getting nice boosts up the chart and 3 new songs making their debut. One song in particular; marks Davey Havok's third appearance on my chart. He is present with with his band; AFI , DreamCar, and... Blaqk Audio; who make a quick debut onto my Top 50 with a great new song , called "First To Love". The Poprock band; DNCE; gets debut #2 with the kind of Poptart that sounds more rock than tart. "Body Moves" which bombed on CHR has found its way onto my weekly chart and should be on fire in the weeks to come...and finally from last week's HOT List comes Lemon Demon; with our highest debut called "Touch- Tone Telephone". HOT List: The Three new adds this week; all have different vibes. Cold War Kids return to my chart after a 4 year hiatus with a brand new song called "Love Is Mystical". Another big return is Phases. I finally Purchased ; their debut album "For Life" and it looks like "Silhouette" will be the next track to slay my chart. This song shows up on my list with a; #1 song tag, already included. Next are; 80's icons; ABC with thier new, New Romantic, and may I add; classy sounding song; "The Flames Of Desire". and finally I'm adding some really uptempo K-Pop from the girl group; GFRIEND. Thier new song "Fingertip" has that certain Michael Jackson 80's pop sound that I miss hearing on the charts.

First; I'm adding a new feature to the chart called song history. I'll put the numbers each song has slotted since Jan 2017. I started my new year Jan/6/2017, so that's were I'll commence from. Any song that charted before that; will have a (2017) before it's number. AFI hold on to #1 for a second week and with the addition of "Hidden Knives"; Davey Havok;now has 4 songs in my top 50. Soon ;with the additton of another DREAMCAR song; that number could rise to 6. In other news; the popdance group; DNCE gets the highest leap of the week, Kaleo bounces back into the 30 with "Hot Blood" and we have 3 new debuts. "Hidden Knives" from AFI is the highest debut and the other two are songs that are currently charting on Alt's top 50. Cold War Kids make their first appearance on my chart with "Love Is Mystical "and Sundara Karma are back fro round two with their new single "She Says". HOT List: This week I'm adding 7 new songs to the list with highlight on 4 of those. The other 3 are in red down below. First up is Stitch Up Heart's new single "Catch Me When I Fall". It already was #1 on my Metal chart and now it's ready to cause havok in my top 50. Speaking of Havok; we have new music from DREAMCAR called "Born To Lie". Another stellar track and I know I say my favorite album of the year is AFI's "Blood" album, but that may change once DREAMCAR releases theirs'. Next; is a great pick hit of mine; that has just became a single. Sort of. I still prefer the original album cut to the new Alt mix. It's the new song from Bleeker called "Where Is The Money". and last is some new Indie Synthpop from LYON called "Silevrlight". "Body Talk" was a bit boring for me, but this new one has all the right 80's elements and cowbell; for me to chart.

First; I'm gonna colour code the Song's history so it reflects out better. AFI hangs on strongly to #1. In fact; the top 4 are all non movers this week. The Indiepop; Bravestation score their first Top 10 on my chart with, "13th Floor". Big moves from Pop band; DNCE, Supergroup; DREAMCAR ,another hot; AFI song and MisterWives with "Machine" and the lyrics to this song are really make you think about the current state of the music industry. In particular; that second verse. We also have three big DEBUTS this week. First; I got right into charting the new Bleachers song, because it's super hot and I couldn't call myself Dr. Indie anymore; if I didn't. Debut #2 is another great synthpop song by new band ;Ice Choir. This one literally fell out of an 80's Time machine into my lap. ..and the biggest debut; goes to Stitched Up Heart, for the 3rd single off "Never Alone" called "Catch Me When I Fall". HOT List: let's start off this week's adds with another DREAMCAR (I can't get enough of this band) song. This one is called "All The Dead Girls Love Me". This is yet another song from this band; with the kind of music vibe I love. The intro reminds me a bit of Adam and The Ants. Next I got some Hard rock from female lead band ;The Black Mirrors with "Funky Queen". I can best describe this band by saying; A female sung version of Royal Black. They are also on Napalm Records and I can only hope Active picks them up soon.. More female rock. This time from the Glam Rock band; Heavy Tiger. This song has a Joan Jett and The Blackhearts vibe. It's from their new album; "Glitter" and the song is called "I Go For The Cheap Ones". Next I got the current charting hit from Spoon. Took me a while to get into this one, but now I can't get enough of it. I also love that guitar riff right before the verses. I'm taking about "Hot Thoughts"...and finally the new official single from Saint Motel called "Destroyer". This one comes with a free Dr. Indie tag; attached to it.

"Snow Cats" spends 1 Month at #1. Ironically enough; it's only real competitor; is also sung by Davey Havok It's the new song from Dreamband; DREAMCAR. "Kill For Candy" is having an amazing chart run. In only 6 weeks on the chart; it's already a Top 5 single and number 1; could be just around the corner. In other news; The 1975 finally get that top 10 hit with "Somebody Else". Not bad for a song that originally peaked at #40. Keep this song in your chart, long enough ,and it's bound to go top 10. Just ask Billboard.  . More news from Indiepop band; BESTMAN; who score thier first top 20 song on my chart with the bouncy and poppy "Worry". The Three debuts with three different music vibes crack the top 50 this week. I got new K-Pop from GFRIEND with "Fingertip", Some great new Alternative Rock from Spoon; called "Hot Thoughts" and the highest debut honour goes to Fickle Friends for thier single "Cry Baby". This Indie Pop band has had great success on my charts. HOT List: Without a minute to waste, let's jump right into Paramore's new single called "Hard Times". This is easily my favorite new song of the week. A different sound for them; that would compare to Blondie and Fickle Friends, but it really works. It's catchy; addictive; and could prove to cause "Hard Times" for the other songs in my chart in the weeks to come? Song number two will surely surprise those who follow my posts on pulse. It's the Pop hit from Linkin Park called "Heavy". I stress Pop; because that's what it is, but among its peers;this turned out to be one of the best Pop songs I've heard this year. It works best because of Chester's crisp clear vocal works and in a set of current top 40 songs; this one really stood out among the EDM, rapathons; I heard that day. I still don't think it had any business on the Alt charts, but should definitely be on CHR's top 5 songs? My chart is in actuality; an all genre music chart; so "Heavy" could push it's way onto the top 50? Stay tuned. Up next comes my IndiePop discovery of the week. It's The Wayfarers with "KINGS". This one needs no introduction. One spin and you will be up on your feet in no time. Add #4; just jumps from my Metal top 10 to my HOT LIST. It's Tokyo Motor Fist with "Pickin' Up The Pieces". Last ,but certainly not least(man there is some great untapped music out there) is some new obscure New Wave style song from Compact Disk Dummies. I would say this band is European. Norway maybe? They sorta have a Donkeyboy sound. Anyway; I love this song and video. It's called "Remain In Light".

This week's Top 10 New Metal songs. This week Nordic Metal from Firewind takes over the #1 spot. I also switched The Night Ranger song to "Don't Let Up". They actually have a few great sounding album cuts rolling around. With that song; also come 3 new debuts. Up first; off White Widdow's ; Metal heaven AOR label comes brand new Melodic Rock from The Supernova Plasma Jets called "Hold You Close" This one is a Powerballad heavy influenced from 80's style of Heart and Pat Benatar. New music from DANZIG swings in at #9. Older DANZIG , but still fierce. Our highest entry goes to Metallica for finally releasing the single I wanted. "Now That We Are Dead' is as Metal as a band can get. Great song that could also cross into my top 50?

I was in my cousins car for about an hour, She's a popster by heart. Heard a boatload of pop hits, but when that one came on; something clicked and I heard a great Pop song with exceptional vocals. I'm not really a big Linkin Park fan, but I do think Chester has incredible vocal ability. 

As for "Kill For Candy"; If you are familiar with my obsession with the song "Molecules" ; than you can bet money on it.

This week we have a brand new #1 song from ; DREAM Band ,DREAMCAR. Davey Havok takes the spotlight away from himself; as his brand new song, and band , move into the number one position with "Kill For Candy". "Snow Cats" is still on fire, so it will hang around for quite a few more weeks. We also have two bands scoring their first top 5 songs on my charts. First; is Pop Evil with the massive Powerballad; "If Only For Now" and at #5 is Letters From The Fire with their hard rocking hit; "Worth The Pain". Three debuts make their way onto my top 50. We have some indiepop from the band Myzica. New 2017 New Wave from DramatiX and a great song called "Rat Race", and the highest debut; which this week comes from The band Papa Roach; who have a very versatile Rock sound; varying from Alt to Hard Rock with hints of metal here and there. This new song "Help",is already the Number one song on The Active Rock charts and now is looking to follow that same action on my weekly personal charts as well. HOT List: Let's right into this week's add list with Nickelback's brand new Power ballad called "Song On Fire". It sucks that this won't chart on Active; since we have had a Powerballad resurge as of late, but one thing is certain; Chad has the pipes for a great Rock Power ballad. The second song is A great new Indie Pop song that comes in with a bullet from Sir Sly called "High". The third most added song on my Foobar this week is new Argentenian hard Rock from AIRBAG. Thier sound is a cross between Airbourne and AC/DC. This song is called "Huracan" translated as "Hurricane". and last but not least from the Album Cuts Tournament is a new discovery from a band called Everything Everything. The sound is inspired from the 50-60's style and it immediately clicked with me. next week; I'll bring on new Music from Charli XCX. It's from her Number 1 Angel remix Cd and its the most 80's sounding of the bunch. care to take a guess. It's rhymes with "Lady Pearl"

DREAMCAR hold the top spot for a strong second week. Letters From The Fire move up one step closer to the top with their first top 5 hit on my chart. Both Alter Bridge and September Mourning; rock into the top 10 with the second single off their respective albums and Nickelback's title track from their upcoming album makes an impressive move within the top 20. "Feed The Machine" might just go top 10 in the weeks to come? Three debuts this week. First off are Alt Rockers; Incubus. I was planing on beginning this song's chart run in a few weeks, but its dropping off the actual charts so quick; I decided to give it a kickstart instead. Debut number two; are first timers to my top 50; New Pornographers. It's a really uptempo Indie Rock song called "High Ticket Attractions". HOT List: let's get into my top 4 added songs of the week. It's great to start with some new Indie Rock. This song is so good it got duplicate threads. It's the new one from Nothing But Thieves; called "Amsterdam". Next is the brand new Rocker from Royal Blood. I was gonna debut it in my top Metal songs, but its taking off so fast; that I decided to throw it in the HOT LIST instead. This could turn out to be my favorite song from the band yet. I also promised some new Charli XCX and here it is. This is the track that gave me the most 80's vibe. It's called "Baby Girl". very 83-85. The next song is something really special. It's a song I rediscovered while picking my songs for the album cuts tournament. I have this album, but I must have overlooked the song? It's doing so well on the tournament; that I have decided to add to the list. It also shares the same song title as Paramore's current single. This could turn out to be the oldest song I chart; if it indeed makes my top 50. Going back to 1993 ; here is; Ric Ocasek with "Hard Times". Last, but not least is my Indie Pop pick of the week ,from Broods' latest album. This one is called "Are You Home". Next week; you can be sure to see some new Cheap Trick on the HOT LIST.

Metallica hold strong at the #1 postion here..and should for quite sometime. Two debuts. First; on Frontiers Records, is the new Warrant track off "Louder,Harder, Faster", called "Perfect". Warrant sound more like Sammy Hagar than hair Metal; now adays. Debut number 2 is from Moscow. Hot new female fronted rock called "Queen of Sin". Plus I found out what Demi Lovato did in her spare time back in 2012. But seriously; you guys know I love this song, right?
