This week's top 3 songs hold thier position for whole month with Def Leppard still at #1. This week Ozzy Osbourne finds a window of opportunity and jumps into the top 5. We also have Tears For Fears in the top 10 for the first time since 1985 with "Break The Man". Getting on to this week's three debuts. At #60 we have Sumo Cyco returning with "Cyclone". Blasting onto the chart with the title track to thier latest album comes Reckless Love with "Turborider", and our highest chart splash is none other than Billy Idol breaking out at #48 with "Cage" Don't forget to scroll down to the Hot List where a handfull of new music is getting ready to grab a slot on the chart. With "Break The Man" going top 10 I feel it is time for another Tears For Fears song to chart. In the end it came down to "End of Night" and "Secret Location"  And the winner is...

This one only appears on the Delux Cd edition, but I feel captures thier 80's Sophistipop sound perfectly.  This one features Roland on vocals and Kurt on Backups. This one definitely feels like a single to me.

Bringing on this week's brand new chart we see Def Leppard holding the crown for a fifth week. LAUREL moves up one slot closer to the top with her perfect pop offering "Wildside". Ozzy Osbourne goes top 3 ,and look at The Killers leap into the top 10 at #6 with thier current #1 Alternative Rock song "Boy". Also cracking the top 10 this week is Walk The Moon with "Giants". Another great indiepop song that Alt unexplicably shut out of their top 10. Moving on the debuts. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Halestorm and MisterWives with a double a-side all make thier chart debut, but it's Nickelback who pack the biggest punch with "San Quentin" taking the chart splash honors all the way at #43. New music Metal Chart: It was only a matter of time before the WARKINGS were at #1 and deservingly so with this Monster Metal jam. Two new debuts. First we have new music from Wildness. They a new AOR band on Frontiers Records. Their style is a bit like Survivor meets Hardline or even one of the newer AOR bands out there like The Night Flight Orchestra.  The highest entry is what I consider my favorite track off Five Finger Death Punch's latest album. "Welcome To The Circus" has the classic Rock theme of a Circus, a fierce balls out bangin' chorus ,and hard hitting lyrics that make you wonder about this world we live in.

Let's close out September 2022 with a bop in the crown position. U.K. IndiePop artist LAUREL takes the crown away from Def Leppard with her "Wildside". This is Laurel's third time on the chart and first #1 , and she has another one in the Hot adds waiting list. Killers and Tears For Fears are in the top 5 with thier latest singles, and crashing the top 10 is another Bop from Brave Girls. This girl group is enjoying thier fourth top 10 on my charts. Nickelback's "San Quentin" is this week's adrenaline riser, and Austria's own Visions of Atlantis are ready to splash into the top 10 with thier synphonic Metal smash "Legion Of The Seas". We have four debuts. Including another K-POp bop from girl group VIVIZ at the chart's anchor position and three songs that are currently rising on the Alternative Rock chart. Howlin' in at #52 is "Raised By Wolves", Crooning in at #50 is "Don't Let The Light Go Out" This one reminds me so much of John Travolta's "Sandy" from Grease, and splashing in at #46 is "Here To Forever". K-POp showcase:

Since it can't aways be big hair bands and melodic guitars on my charts I tend to flip over to Pop vibes once in a while.  Here is a genre that has taken my chart by  storm in the last five years. The Korean Girl and Boy groups make pop the way I remeber it. NRGetic, fun, sometimes silly , but very catchy. I don't have a clue what the songs are saying, but you know me and lyrics. I'm sure they are about partying, love, and just having fun. Can't sing along, but it's cathcy as hell. The female vocals are aesthetic and harmoniously sinchronized making the songs very atrractive sounding. and yes there is a lot of Mariah Carey/Demi Lovato screaming style as well. Not surprisingly K-POP has caught on over here acress the border. Not only the music , but the memorabilia as well. Not including the songs on my top 60, here are a few of my favorite K-Pop songs of the moment that you might see here in the near future..

Third time is a charm as another British Artist takes the crown. This time it is the legend himself Ozzy Osbourne with "Patient Number 9" feat Jeff Beck. Took me a little while to warm up to the song, but now I play it at least once a day. The Killers go top 3 with "Boy" and splashing into the top 10 is the Austrian Symphonic Metal band Visions of Atlantis with "Legion of The Seas". Getting to this week's debuts. Cobra Spell gets the highest entry at #49 and just below the top 50 is El Ultimo Vecino with "Mundo Majico" and New Years Day with "Hurts Like Hell. U.K. Rockers Midnite City have rerelased their first two albums and first video out now is for "Rock and A Hard Place". There must be a strong audience for this genre to be booming the way it is, and I need to  jump on the next Crazy Train headed that way. At #10 is new Swedish AOR band Cherie. I'm thinking they named themselves after the Hardline classic of the same name. In the mist of it all WARKINGS reign for third week with "Monsters".

Second week at #1 for "Patient Number 9",but Will Ozzy hold the crown throughout the scariest season of the year? That is the question. The top 3 stay the same ,and Tears for Fears inch up a notch closer to the top with "Break The Man". More HOTT action as Devil's Train cracks the top 10 with "You Promised Me Love". My favorite Powerballad of the moment. Right under the top 10 is Eva Under Fire looking to score thier frst top 10 and Nickelback at just four weeks on the chart make another impressive jump into the top 20 with "San Quentin". We also have three new debuts. Representinmg the Popunk sound of the early 2000's is Simple Plan back with "Wake Me Up(When This Nightmare's Over)". Its also the highest debut of the week at #53, and right below them at #58 we have Julieta Venegas with a comback album and titletrack "En Tu Orilla", and starting off the action at #60 is the always present Two Door Cinema Club. HOT LIST:  Let's get right into this week's hot adds with DIAMANTE doing a rock cover of Madonna's "Like A Prayer". Never heard a rock version of this song, but I dig what I hear. What I like about DIAMANTE is that she does her own backups as well. It's the second of a whole project of cover songs she is getting ready to record. Papa Roach is back with "No Apologies". The Killers score a brand new #1 on my chart and honestly I can't even fathom how Alt charts dropped it so soon after being one of the best comebacks for a band in recent years. I blame it on the fact that it rose so fast. For me it feels safe unless I start to really over play "San Quentin" or maybe even "Thank You". I love a good K-Bop. Speaking of Brave Girls they go top 5 along with Disturbed's "Hey You". Two songs go top 10. Eva Under Fire with "Blow" just feels like a top 10 song for me, and "Spillways" from Ghost deserves more airplay than it gets. Three debuts conclude this week's chart highlights. Crazy Lixx comes in at #52 with "In The Middle of Nothing" and two girl power songs make thier splash including Avril Lavigne's' "Bois Lie" and Pale Waves back with "Jealousy", and getting the highest debut of the chart. Back with another chart. End of the month charts are always exciting cuz that's when I decide whether songs will continue to climb or go recurrent? This week 5 songs exit and 5 take thier place. Those five include new music from Simple Minds, Papa Roach, JiU from Dreamcatcher, Dorothy who's new music video for "Black Sheep" got me on adrenalize mode, and The 1975 bringing on one of 2022's most aesthetic and catchy sing along numbers of thier discography. Elsewhere on the chart we have The Killers holding the throne for week number 2. HOT LIST: The adds list debuts new music from Nickelback - Those Days. A great nostaglic and Anthemic Powerballad. Demi Lovato rocks on with "Substance",and last but not least and my favorite new add of the week is White Lies with a bonus disc track titled "Breakdown Days". The Killers hold the crown for week number three. Brave Girls go top 3 with thier lastest bop "Thank You". Spilling into the top 5 this week are Devil's Train with "You Promsed Me Love" and Ghost with "Spillways",and Nickelback get thrown into the top 10 at #9 with "San Quentin". We have three debuts. The highest going to blink 182 for "Edging". I love this song ,and I had to jump on it quick, because it seems like the song debuted at #1 on the actual charts? Talk about fast moving charts. My other two debuts are both from returning bands. Collective Soul make a comeback attempt with the very melodic "All Our Pieces" and WARKINGS blast in with their third metal chart cruise over "Monsters feat. Morgana" As always Green are Debuts. Catching my interst is the latest from Allison Ponthier on her song about the actual "Hollywood Forever Cemetery". New music Metal Chart:
One new debut this week from L.A based band Ana Moll. I belive her name is a take on the word Animal with hits just fine for an 80's Heavy Metal inspired Heavy Metal. Her bio reads "Ana Moll is an upcoming songstress playing on the heavy metal and melodic rock sounds of the 1980s and Hollywood's Sunset Strip. Presenting to you a single from the upcoming EP, wrapped up in influences ranging all across the board, from Motley Crue to Samantha Fox. Heavily inspired by retro female frontrunners like Janet Gardner, Lorraine Lewis, and Lita Ford, Ana puts her own spin on the classic rockstar sound of days gone by with her girlish voice and distinctive songwriting. Ana honed her skills in writing at an early age and paired with her love of early MTV and Headbangers Ball videos, resulted in a fusion of serious rock-pop goodness. From a small Jersey town just like Bon Jovi she presents to listeners a fruit punch of electric guitars and soaring vocals. You'll want to make sure not to miss the debut EP in the new year" Yup. I'm sold. We also have a new #1 song from U.K.'s Midnite City. From thier 2020 LP "There Goes The Nieghborhood" comes the rerelease of "Rock and A hard Place"

Got a great action packed chart this week. Up first. The Killers got 5 weeks with the crown, but we could have some queens by next week as Brave Girls move up one slot closer to scoring themselves a #1 hit. Also getting himslef another top 10 is the latest from Billy Idol. Kinda cooled down on that one a bit, but it might boomerang itself back up? Four more debuts to keep the chart moving along. Anchoring the chart is another track off Panic! At The Disco's latest album with Brendon screaming his way into the chart on "Supersoaker". At #59 we have more Powerpop K-pop with "C.I.T.T(Cheese In The Trap)". Theory of A Deaman are back in form at #57 with "Dinosaur", and our highest screamo fest goes to Demi Lovato for "Substance" screeching  in at #48. We notice that my chart is again getting a bit crowded as many songs find it hard to trek upwards. I try to keep most of the songs in for at least 20 weeks, but it's getting harder and harder to acheive that goal. Especially with former top 10 songs. It's a battle between actual radio songs and my own pick hit New Wave, POp, and Metal discoveries. and now with K-pop becoming more and more catchy and melodic this chart could become a full on music genre war. First single off Perfect Plan's sophmore album is "Surreneder" and it is cruising over from a Former #1 Metal chart position onto the top 60 most played jams of the week. Last but not least is another new one from Blaqk Audio. They ride in with "Cowboy Nights". Lovely melody.

New music Metal Chart: Back for round number two are Germany's own Devil's Train with "Rising On Fire" and again bringing on that bluesy Whitesnake vibe. A banging jam that is sure to give Ana Moll some competition. Speaking of ..Ana & her on own motley crew zoom up to #5 with "Desperate Eyes". Sitting on top like champions of Metal are Skull Fist with the very Nordic Metal inspeired "Warrior of The North". As a bonus we have Stolen Prayer shooting thier own cover of Fastway's "Trick Or Treat". This is one of my favorite Metal songs of the 80's from one of my favorite horror movies from the 80's. Stolen Prayer's vocalist has a little Vince Neil meets Jon Bon Jovi in his vocal tones.  I'm also previewing thier latset album so look out for some Stolen Prayer jams to hit the chart soon enough.

Twenty-six weeks is the ticket for K-POp sensations Brave Girls as they dethrone the kings and become the new queens of Disco bops. This jam just sounds great anytime or anyplace I play it. No new songs in the top 10, but Ghost do move up one more slot to #2. The top 20 welcomes back two of my favorote Indeipop bands around. They have been consitently scoring big hits on my charts since their debut singles so keep your eye on Echosmith and MisterWives as they compete for slot in the top 10. The K-POp boppin' girls keep the Rockin' Swedes in check as City pop rules for a second week. two new songs take a slot in the top 10. blink-182 with a massive comeback at #10 for thier hit "Edging" , and at #9 ,and also my new ringtone is Dorthy rockin' in with "A Beautiful Life". Three new songs claim slots on the chart. The highest debut goes to Diamante for her cover of Madonna's "Like A Prayer". At #59 is Howard Jones with "I Believe In You". You might recall Howard making a big comeback on my top 10 last year with "We're In This Together". The new single is off his 2022 album 'Dialog'. Starting all the action at #60 is the Norwegian Pop band Cherry Cinema with our perfect 80's sounding Pick hot of the week "Tokyo". and now for useless music trivia fact No.73: Exactly 5 Norwegian bands have landed songs on my weekly charts. a-ha, Donkeyboy, Stage Dolls, Wig Wam ,M2M (remember them?) and now Cherry Cinema makes number 6. Last, but not least we say goodbye to Cobra Spell "Addicted To The Night" after 30 weeks on my chart. The saddest thing is that we will never get to see that lineup perform that song as three of them called it quits. I Still consider this song one of the perfectest metal songs of 2022. New music Metal Chart: A lot of movement on the chart since we last checked in including a new #1 from Def Leppard. Ana Moll up to #2 with her "Desperate Eyes" and look at Steel Panther getting the highest new entry at #5 with the aptly titled "1987". The first single off "On The Prowl". This one is all about the best Metal bands of the 80's. That song actually knocked down last week's highest debut from Metallica one slot down to #6. In the midst of it all Chez Kane debuts another track of "PowerZone". This one rides on some really cool Quarterflash vibes featuring the talented Danny Rexon on Saxophone.

Starting off with my K-Pop guity pleasure of the week from the girls from Girls Planet 999 known to the world as Kep1er coming in at #60 with "UP!". At #57 we have Duran Duran with single number four off 'Future Past'. They bring on that Fab 5 magic with "Tonight United". The highest debut goes to my former Pick hit from White Lies. Metal Chart: No surprise as both this week's debuts come from Frontiers Records label. Heroes and Monsters are a new rock band keeping the hair Metal vibe alive with "Let's Ride It". Infinite & Divine return with new material off "Ascendancy". Uptempo AOR metal. Lead singer sounds a lot like Janet Gardner of Vixen. Def Leppard and Ana Moll duke it out for #1 for another week and Steel Panther moving in for the kill. Which of the BIG cats will prevail? Stay tuned.

Metal Chart: Def Leppard Chimes in this Christmas with "SOS Emergency". We have two new debuts First up newcomer Nevena Dordevic releases her self titled album full of 80's style melodic rock. Think 80's Lita Ford meets 2020's Chez Kane. The first single "Bad Sun Rising" is perfect to introduce her into the AOR world . Alex Meister is the lastest rising star in the melodic rock world. With hooks reminding of Night Ranger, and riding on catchy dynamic chorus you gotta give it to for this banger. Debuting at #7 Alex Meister is certainly ready to set this chart on fire with "Game of Love". The video is very HOTT!

As we enter out first music chart of 2023 we find Brave Girls still holding the crown becoming the most successful K-Pop song on my charts to date. Strong at #2 are Edge of Paradise, and Nickelback go Top 3 with "San Quentin". One new entry into the top 10 is Panic! At The Disco's "Turn Off The Light"and it is all because I was listening nonestop to "Last Christmas" this last week. We'll see iof that push lasts into the next few weeks? Most of the chart is still recuperating from a Hang Over, but keep your eye on the songs with the **;s below the top 10. Those are you songs gettinga second wind for 2023. Finally we have two debuts. Nothing earth sahattering, but I do have another track off Tears For Fear's latest album, and new artist Makk Mikkeal comming in with "Favorite Liar" at #58. s always Green are Debuts. Panic! At The Disco keeps moving upward trying to get two songs in the top 10 and Paramore go Top 20 with "This Is Why". Also making an impressive jump into the top 40 is Avril Lavigne with Machine Gun Kelly on "Bois Lie" moving up eight notches to #36. Three debuts this week. HOT LIST: . Time to cruise over some new Metal jams cuz my Metal chart is about to get crowded. Ana Moll is first to join the adds list with "Desperate Eyes". . Four guys who love their 80's Italo Disco call themsleves simply 1984 and crash in with "Shout It Out". The Wombats are back. This was actually the last single off thier latest album and probably the catchiest too. "Everything ILove Is Going To Die" will be hitblound in 2023. I promised everyone new music and here we go with one more from one of my favorite Indiepop bands ever. MisterWives return with "Wrongside".

Metal Chart: Continuing where we left off the Hair/Glam sound is still coming in strong. This week Brian Durbin's Hairbangers Ball makes thier chart debut at #10. The band name is taken from the famous MTV shoiw that took Hair Metal to the spotlight in the 80's Headbangers Ball . They started off as an 80's MEtal cover band and now they release new music of thier own and it is pure Hair Metal glory. Brian also has some upcoming jams of his own in the next few weeks. Finally reaching #1 is Metallica with "Lux Æterna", but that was bound to happen on this chart.
