She's improved so much as a performer and I felt like such a proud mom last night. I almost ugly cried during "Honeymoon" which totally came out of nowhere for me because I didn't look at any spoilers beforehand. She also surprised(?) us with "Florida Kilos" and touches of "Salvatore" which was fun. I was relieved to see that her setlist has gotten longer, even though the show ended up feeling a little short; not sure what she still has against encores but here's hoping she resolves that sooner than later.
A side note, I will never ever see Lana in general admission again. I've stood at many concerts before but my friends and I were shoved to and fro when there was hardly any room for anyone to begin with. Then almost everyone in front of me was recording on their phones, which was to be expected (and obviously I did the same thing when I wanted to), but with arms completely outstretched and in exaggeratedly slanted positions when she was like...right there in front of us! At one point I overheard someone ask what Lana calls her fans and the first thing I thought was 'assholes' but anyway yeah, I love her forever and can't wait to see her again. From a seat.

I'm not sure why this just hit me, but I just realized that Lana lost a Grammy to Divide. TO DIVIDE.
The Grammy's are unsalvageable.

The love she gets from her fans surpasses that of any other modern day artist.

Just now appreciating how good and hypnotic "West Coast" actually is. My parliament's on fire and I'm looking for my crazy and cubano Love it, but the Young Professionals remix kinda killed the original for me. I still can't stop playing that remix. I love everything about Lana's musical identity, but I'm glad there are a few good remixes of her stuff when I'm looking for Lana with bounce.

The ZHU remix of "West Coast" is hands down my favourite. It's incredible and it takes the song to another level in my opinion.

West Coast is arguably her greatest track. I'm partial to Serial Killer, Off to the Races, and Ride. West Coast is underrated tho.

dbhmr (and all other Lana fans in this thread), are you familiar with the YouTube reaction woman AJayII?? If not, do yourself a favor and look at her reaction videos to Lana on YouTube. She is a TRUE stan! I used to hate reaction videos until I discovered her (and MiniMusic).

She's currently working with Jack Antonoff in record studios.
I'm ready for the heartbreaking bops!

Lana's version of "You Must Love Me" originally recorded by Madonna for the film version of Evita is here. It will be released on March 16 as part of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Unmasked (The Platinum Collection).

I just hope that the final version isn't mastered so high and loud. It's clipping and distorted.

She probably won her lawsuit as she said in one of her shows she can sing that song.

Ive been trying to get into Honeymoon and i just cant. Its definitely her weakest album IMO. There are only 3-4 songs that I can even remember the melody to, its just so flat

I ADORE Honeymoon and it is flawless, as all Lana's albums are. That said, I rank it 3rd, below Lust For Life and Born To Die but above Paradise and Ultraviolence.

By no means do I think it's a bad album - I just think it just drags a bit but when the moments are good, they are GOOD. Lana's albums are like fine vino that ages gracefully. I wasn't crazy about Ultraviolence when it was released and now it's my top album from her.

Honeymoon was my favorite album from her for a long time. The whole sound is so lush and transfixing to me, it just sucks me in. But, I do think it took a while to fully open up to me IIRC, but that's often the case with her albums. Usually I like the general sound, and there are 2-3 songs that instantly stand out that pull me back in for repeated listens, and then I come to appreciate most of everything she's offered up, if not every damn song.
Lately, though, I'm finding it hard to rank them. I think, today, I like Lust for Life the most, but think that Ultraviolence is her objectively her best, while Born To Die is still the most "exciting," and Honeymoon bringing in the highest highs ("The Blackest Day," "High by the Beach," "Music to Watch Boys To"). Can't really rank them, except Paradise is easily her worst.
