Is this the new song she is performing on TGIT next Thursday on ABC? There was a commercial for it during every show on ABC tonight.

CIWYW is easily the best offering off of reputation thus far.

Boped ocassionaly to LWYMD, was 'meh' about RFI, and hated Gorgeous. But this is really pleasant and the kind of Taylor I like. Lyrics are still a little bit clumsy to me, compared to her past eras, but I like it. Finally a GOOD song (IMO) from this project.

I could do without the "chain round my neck/not because he owns me" part cause it's the only time the lyrics kinda fight the melody, but this one's a keeper for me. I adored I Almost Do and This Love, and while this isn't quite up to that level, this plays to her strengths in a similar manner. 2/4 rn We'll have the album in a week!

I was coming here to say exactly this. I love the song but the bridge does feel forced. I can also agree with others that the chorus needed to be sung differently, in that way it reminds me a bit of All That, one of Carly Rae Jepsen’s best songs

I do like it but Carly called and would like her bridge back.

The "I'm the one he's walking toooooo" sounds a bit awkward to me. But definitely my fav off reputation so far. Reminds me of Wildest Dreams.

I do like it but Carly called and would like her bridge back. At least Carly sang the chorus an octave higher in the end of the song. @tswift take notes. PS: This is a sequel to "You Are In Love" or actually, her own "You Are In Love". Fight me.

I love Taylor and am happy that she is happy, of course, but she is at her best when she is in the thirst for love and has all the time to herself to write down her emotions. It's almost like she writes better about love when she is thirsty for it versus when she is actually in it. Either that, or this new beau is so boring (which is good for her in real life, but less so musically.)
She can only write a song about/reference the Kim/Kanye thing so many times before that's annoying, so I was hoping for more Calvin-breakup vibes from this album as opposed to 'my life is great I love him" Taylor.
Either the remaining 11 songs are the best 11 songs she has ever done or this might be her worst offering yet for me. We will see. Still excited as she is my favorite but I'm not connecting with the music in the same way as I have before.

Yeah, it's just not up to the level of previous efforts, which is really quite unfortunate/disappointing but I guess it happens to most artists.

This is solid. That's really all I can say. I will give her credit though: she hasn't been pimping her showmance/songwriting fodder around so I am more likely to believe she is actually serious about this guy.

I have no idea what to expect with this album. I've liked all songs released from it so far but still don't know what to expect.

Best thing she's released from this album so far. That's not really saying a lot, but its still a cute song and the lyrics are 10x better than the previous 3.

"reputation" has officially stacked up over 400k pre-orders (including Target, iTunes, Walmart, her website etc). We love the best selling female (and probably all-genre) album of 2017!

This album could be my favorite of hers to date. I just know in my gut the best is yet to come. I am really digging the 4 tracks we've heard. Gorgeous has grown immensely on me after the making of video.

Call It What You Want is flaming hot garbage. LWYMMD > RFI > Gorgeous > CIWYW
US pop culture is not at a time in history where anyone really gives a f**k about Taylor's non-celebrity boyfriend and their boring relationship or her "character assassination" that happened last year. We've far moved on - one song (LWYMMD) was enough. Nothing about reputation has been original - it's all been a retread of past eras, songs, lyrics, concepts, etc with less fine tuning and quality control. I used to think she knew was she was doing business wise, but she's living on a completely other planet if she thinks this same s**t is going to fly again.
Her enormous fan base will blindly stan, but I can feel interest from the GP dropping with each and every song (and the album's not even out yet). It really does feel like the Witness era in many ways. Lead was a short-lived hit mostly based on hype, numerous follow-ups landed with a thud commercially and critically, way too long of time between lead single and album release, no cohesive narrative or sonic sound giving you a sense of what the album really is. These long, traditional rollout plans don't work in 2017 and I feel like Taylor thought she was immune to that fact. The only way I see this turning around is if the album in full turns out to be GREAT, but given what we've already heard I find that very likely - what kind of strategy would it be to release the weakest songs first?

I kind of like this? It's just super breezy and listenable. Not really polarizing at all. Doesn't really go anywhere, but it's pleasant in a way that LWYMMD and RFI aren't (I still love them both).
Gorgeous remains my least favorite offering so far.
I like the sound direction of this album, I think it suits her voice, though she needs to really get past this whole Kanye thing. One song was more than enough on that topic.

Taylor is a songwriter that writes autobiographical songs. Her character was maligned and she fell in love in this album cycle..... What did you think she was gonna sing about??? ( I do hope we get one break up between her and Calvin). Taylor can't catch a break. If she writes too many breakup songs, she is a man eater, crazy, and obsessive. If she writes about her media betrayal and crucifixion then she is a bratty, self-indulgent victim. Part of me thinks, if Taylor released something as good as Blank Space. There would still be hysterics because long story short, some of you just wanna bitch.

Wow. Her label said pre-orders for Reputation are double of what 1989 had a week before its respective release. =O

Judging by these songs, I guess the theme of the album is her talk-rapping? Doesn't suit her voice, sound, or really serve her in any way. Anyone else think the production sounds a little cheap on these last 2 songs as well?
I usually like a bunch of songs from Taylor's albums, but this one is off to a really bad start for me.

Agree about the strategy. I actually like LWYMMD and RFI, they have great vibe but been saying in the song threads that they are thematically off-putting. Reputation can still be a big success (triple platinum or better with would mean only 50% drop from 1989) but for now I predict it selling 1.8m by the end of year and then some during winter when the Grammy season is on (she must perform there). If I were to choose the rollout so far, it would've been something like this Look What You Made Me Do - Early September, video following immediately ...Ready for It? - Late October, simultaneously with the video The album release in November as it's now Third single sent for radio mid-December, video out on New Years Day.

Also 400k pre-orders is double 1989's pre-orders 1 week before its release in 2014.
