Feels like for weeks there haven't been almost any new music videos for songs that are charting on Hot 100. I'm constantly hoping for "Something Just Like This", "It Ain't Me", "Stay", "Slide", but nothing is coming.

Stay and It Ain't Me are brand new so I image they'll come soon. Paris' was randomly dropped so it wouldn't surprise me if it was the same for Something Just Like This.
As someone already mentioned, Taylor is the only female act in the top 10. Hopefully Alessia and Selena can enter soon to add some freshness to the top 10. It would also be great if Katy mentioned to re enter, but it doesn't look likely

If Taylor falls out this week, then the Top 10 will be all men (unless you count the uncredited female singer on Paris).

If there's no eyesore That's What I Like, Shape of You is almost guaranteed to have the longest-running airplay no.1 of the whole decade (12-14 weeks, 8 wks so far 173+ million impression and still rising). But it's gonna be ruined I think.

Either Stay or It Ain't Me will be very much welcome to the top 10. Both will be great.

It may peak in the lower half of the top 20. So, unlike most people, as they think that MO will enter the top 10, I think that actually IAM can do it. I'll predict now: 1: SOY 2: TWIL 3: HUMBLE. 4: iSpy 5: SJLT 6: IFIC 7: BLABR 8: TV 9: B&B 10: IAM
11: Mask Off 12: Passionfruit 13: Stay 14: Rockabye 15: CTTR

In all honesty, I wouldn't be surprised if iSpy would snag the #1 spot in two or three weeks.

I hope HUMBLE will have some longevity. There haven't been too much great rap songs on top10 in a while.

"Sign Of The Times" is destroying US iTunes. Looks like we will have another top 5 debut after "Humble".
I wish they dropped the video today... Maybe it would help the song to get a #1 debut.

I think a #1 debut is very likely based mostly on sales. And to think That's What I Like finally had gotten to #1 in iTunes just yesterday.

At least 400k no? Well, he might have solid streaming, too.

Regardless, I was just asking what it needs to sell to debut at #1 without even getting into streaming and airplay.

Maybe it would help the song to get a #1 debut. While sometimes an extra day of video streaming can make a big difference in chart points, I don't think this is one of those cases. I see the strategy in holding off on the video to see how strong sales, airplay and streaming of the audio are over the first day(s) and releasing the video whenever they think it'll be most beneficial. For example, if the audio numbers are looking strong enough in the first few days to land a top 5 or #1 debut, then it makes sense to wait on the video for a subsequent tracking week. If it needs a boost during this tracking week to achieve what they want, release the video on Monday and it'll have 4 days of undoubtedly very strong video streaming. I know labels can appear to have missed the boat at times, but I'm pretty sure they're on top of this and have a stategy with a plan A, plan B, etc. No reason to play all their cards on day one. There's always day two, etc.

Regardless, I was just asking what it needs to sell to debut at #1 without even getting into streaming and airplay. I don't think you get it. 10%. In just a few hours. The majority of the US population isn't even awake yet. It's on track to sell 200k or better today alone. These are numbers that haven't been seen since Adele's "Hello." Even if it started to quickly fall after today, it's still heading for around 500k with as big of a damn lead it already has, which alone is enough for a top 2 debut. Couple that with any significant amount of streaming and airplay (which this will get because holy cow, those sales numbers cannot be ignored), and #1 is definitely guaranteed.

First day sales can be extremely front-loaded regardless of the % difference in sales. It could sell more than 400k for the week, but it's too soon to tell in my opinion. Haven't we all seen many a front-loaded rabid-fan-propelled song at #1 on iTunes on Fridays? I realize this is a *very* strong sales performance out of the gate, but I also consider who he is and who his fanbase is. Plus, sales are so dire these days that having a huge lead doesn't necessarily equal blockbuster numbers.
I don't think a certain debut position is guaranteed at this moment, at least not before we have some solid projections by reliable sources. And even then, there are other unforeseen variables that can come into play by the existing competition and/or competition we are not yet aware of. Stranger things have happened.

Regarding streaming, I saw the audio on YT a couple of hours ago and it was at 750k and now it's currently at 940k. I'd assume at least half of those are from the US. Anybody know whether it is available on Spotify?

Yes it's on Spotify and with very prominent banner and playlist placement for that matter.

Anybody know whether it is available on Spotify? I wouldn't assume that; he's huge in the UK. What % of Ed Sheeran's streams ended up being from the US?

Let's suppose that "Shape Of You" has 530 points next week (it has 560 points in this), 400K of sales gives you 533 points, so it would be enough. *Using simmnfierzig's formula.

Sign of the Times has broken Hello's record for the fastest ascent to US iTunes No. 1 with 19 minutes. On top of that:
- 10:1 ratio downloads with TWIL (#2) - over 140,000 sales in first 6 hours - Hourly play on pop iHeart stations - three Apple Music playlists, including "Today's Hits" and "Best of the Week"
I'm all ready for this! SOTT for #1

SOTT for #1 Of course, those plays won't count for the same chart week as the sales. What is the source for 140k sales? Good for him, but I'm surprised Styles is doing this well. It's better than any 1D single, if the numbers are true.
