With the lead it had and still has, that 178k figure seems drastically off. It's not falling that hard. The full tracking weeks begins 12:00 am Friday east coast time, so SOTT's missing about 8 full hours Wait, did it not come out at midnight?

So it wouldn't be missing 8 hours.
Also, if it were to do to 70% today, that would be the drastic fall I was speaking of.

If Sign Of The Times' fate will be that it debuts in top 10 and then freefalls I will be very disappointed. That song is the closest thing we would get to a rock hit song in a year like 2017, because even our possible alternative cross overs like "Heavy" sound less like rock than this.

Is it just me or has the Hot 100 become less stagnant in the last year or so? I don't know what happened, but it seems a lot like the 60's to 90's, where there was tons of hits. The Top 10 was different every week.
I swear songs are just coming and going now, unlike earlier in the decade, where songs would sit at the top forever. I kind of like it, it makes every week interesting to watch.

I thibk it's because the iTunes chart has become a lot more volatile lately, mostly due to the discounts. Songs are shooting up like 30 positions straight into the top 10 when they get discounted. And then back down 30 positions when they're no longer discounted. And since the hot 100 has put more weight on sales recently...

speaking of Sign of the Times, look at the chart 30 years ago... would be pretty cool if both songs had the same position next week 30 years apart.

Very observant, although Prince's song was technically "Sign 'O' Times". It'll probably debut closer to older one's position next week (it was #5 in the comparable) if simm's prediction is right.

Right. The name change lasted from June, 1993 to May, 2000. The only top ten hit Prince had as O(+> was 'The Most Beautiful Girl In The World" in 1994.

On a couple of notes related to Sign of the Times, Headline Planet indicates that the Spotify issue has been resolved by sometime Saturday Checking In On Spotify Numbers For Harry Styles’ “Sign Of The Times”That said, according to kworb's Spotify US ranking, it was still only the #19 song yesterday, which is consistent with its Friday and Saturday's rankings. Also, kworb's YouTube has it at #17 for the last 24 hours, but that's based on a worldwide count and #86 on radio audience for yesterday.

Did Chained To The a Rhythm just tank It's top 10 on Radio, and sales are mostly steady from the discount, but it's doing very badly in streaming and getting worse which is why it's dropping on the Hot 100.

If these predictions are true, then Kendrick Lamar and Future will get their first Top 10 song as lead/solo (Kendrick Lamar was featured in "Fuckin' Problems", "Bad Blood", and "Don't Wanna Know" while Future was featured in "Love Me") and Sam Hunt will have his first Top 10 song ever.
Anyway...
