I miss the days a show like Idol can make such big impact. The Voice never had that kind of boosting power maybe except for Moves Like Jagger The week after Blurred Lines was performed on the voice it jumped to top 3 the next week

I still find impressive that Carrie/American Idol debuted at 1 ahead of the monster We Belong Together Now the most we get is some The Voice songs appearing on iTunes for 2 days

Good week. It Ain't Me finally top 10, Despacito looking like a contender for #1 and Bruno finally gets #1.
I still have no use for half of the top 10, but oh well.

Up in Canada, 'Shape of You' goes for that 16th week at #1 (at 15 weeks through last week), will be interesting to see if it makes it.

This much rotation at #1 - that is definetely what I like. Feels so good to see this after another 12 week monster and I would like to see some more action before another obligatory upcoming 10+ week domination.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who hates the new live reveal of the top 10. Just give me two or so minutes of straight song reveals and that's fine. You don't need to drag it our by having two guys talking for over 15 minutes. And if people like the live version, fine, but at the very least they should release the normal video and live video at the same time instead of waiting hours to post the normal version.

If Despacito somehow makes it to #1 it could be another monster run at the top spot. It has a lot of room to grow on airplay.
The DJ Khaled-Bieber collab is also looking strong but it could also play like Sign of the Times...

The normal 2 minute version is usually posted immediately after the live reveal is done. If it's hidden on Youtube for a few hours then it's embedded on the top 10 post on Billboard.com.

Gary Trust is a huge fan of Casey Kasem and the AT40 radio countdowns from the late 80s where - absent the magazine and internet - you were held captive waiting with baited breath for the countdown's #1 - clearly trying to recreate that suspense for a new generation.

Alright you know what... I found the normal video by pasting the title of last week's video into Google and changing the date. What can I say, I try my hardest to avoid "spoilers".

Best #1 of the year by far Congrats, Bruno! I haven't heard I'm The One yet (and probably won't until I don't have a choice but to listen) but it would be nice if it went #1 next week so we could have four weeks of different #1s

I remember when I feel it coming, That's what I like and Love on the brain entered the Top 10 I thought LOTB would become a Top 3 smash and TWIL would go away soon... I was wrong but it GREW on me

3 of the last 4 number ones were hip hop b4 today
Half of the number ones this year have been hip hop
3/6 number ones were rap this year
combined rap weeks of songs that were number one this year (including weeks spent at #1 before this year): 11
combined pop weeks: 14
11:14 turns into 4:2 when the high outliers are removed (BB & SOY)
Finally, for two weeks in a row we have had half of the top 10 be hip hop. The last time that it even happened for one frame (before last week) was over a decade ago.
Rap is coming back bois.

UF blocked TOL for (record setting?) so fkn long, and it never reached #1. SOY was unable to do the same to TWIL. It looks like Bruno has won.

The DJ Khaled-Bieber collab is also looking strong but it could also play like Sign of the Times... "I'm the One" is holding up in sales much better than Styles' single did, so whether or not it hits #1, it won't play like that one. I don't understand why kworb's sales prediction for "Despacito" is so close to "TWIK" when "Despacito" has two versions in the top 20.
