Also the composition is very current, the remixes will be awesome (if there are going to be some)

I love this! The instrumental is great, as is the video. Not sold on the way she signs "Malibu" in the chorus or the sudden ending but it is still a great song. The lyrics are also really nice ![:d](http://images.proboards.com/cheesy.gif)

I like it! The verses are a little clunky, but I love the layered vocals and lyrics. Sounds a little Dixie chicks meets Lana-- not a bad thing.

This will probably reach #1 on iTunes, and hope it'll stay there for a couple of days at least. Interesting to see streaming #'s tomorrow

It's... harmless. It reminds me of Colbie Caillat with some more oomph because of Miley's tone. I liked it, I didn't love it.

I know it is FAR too early to be anticipating anything like this yet, but it would be cool if it managed to get the record for highest jump to #1 seeing as Lorde missed it ![](http://yoursmiles.org/ssmile/fun/s0244.gif) But seriously, this song is great! I really hope it ends up as a big hit during the summer for her. It is fun, breezy and just a generally great summer song - a much needed refresh for radio right now

Wasn't it gonna premiere on TV?
The song is a Lana Del Rey retread but thanks to the oomph, I might use. Video is sleep sleep.

This really DOES remind me of Colbie Caillat's style! Which gives me feels because in a few days it'll be exactly a decade since Bubbly was released :'(

This reminds me of Sheryl Crow. Me too -- it's very "Soak Up The Sun" in a good way. Feel-good, summery tune.

.#Malibu is now #1 on ITUNES USA . . Miley Cyrus becomes the first SOLO female artist to hit #1 in 2017 !! Lady Gaga has done it twice this year. I agree on the Sheryl Crow comparisons. I could sorta hear this woven into The Globe Sessions or C'mon C'mon.

This screams a mix of Colbie(love her) & Sheryl(also love) with a tiny hint of LDR(triple love) Such a really nice breezy summer track and highly refreshing in comparison to most of music atm.

This reminds me of Sheryl Crow. Interesting comparison... It kinda plays as a clunkier, less impressive Soak Up The Sun.

Her lyricism also doesn't even come close to Sheryl's, it's way prepubescent and vapid in comparison. It reminds me of Last Goodbye by Kesha in a way. Miley kind of copies her a lot when you really piece it together. She's really not a very good artist but she managed to make this catchy enough, but the quality of the song is pretty much aligned with that horrid, ill-chosen font on the cover art.

Tbh if she tried to come off any more "mature" it would feel forced. I think the lyrics fit perfectly with where she's at in her life.

Quite refreshing tune from Miley! Love the vibe, the simple cuteness of the musical and vocal production, her background vocals, and even her cute image this time. Buying it

I'd prefer it if it had a stronger chorus; there's no obvious hook. Maybe it's a grower, though.

I like this a lot. Very late 90's female pop. Definitely my favorite by her.
