Would much rather this have a slow burning climb into the top 10 on CHR rather than just catapulting into the top 15+ and then freefalling like a rock and never being remembered again. We'll see what happens but it's looking like the latter is about to happen. Hopefully sales and streaming pick up.

She's been doing a bunch of interviews with radio stations, so I'm not surprised radio is what's propping this up right now. Apparently there's another video coming, so hopefully she can drop that ASAP...
She also revealed in an interview that she sat on this song for a year before releasing it, so she must have recorded it around the time she recorded "Feel Me" and "Stained", which leads me even more to believe this is not part of her next album. She insinuated as much in another radio interview too.

She implied that "Bad Liar" was not on the album. I also wouldn't be surprised if she wanted this album to be songs she recorded post-rehab. |

I've tried giving this one several chances, but I just can't get into it. This is with ease the worst single she's ever released, imo. Boring, forgettable, weak vocal... not feeling it at all.  |

I'm delighted that the general population is finally catching up to my fantastically impressive musical standards and all the younger pop girls I've been criticizing since 2012, are all not doing well on the charts. There is hope for music and mankind.
Having said that this is cute and I hope it succeeds for her!!💞

Unclear if we'll ever get a performance of this though. so many writers! great song tho Three of the writers are there for the "Pyscho Killer" sample in the song. Julia Michaels & Justin Tranter, Selena, and Ian Kirkpatrick (the producer) were really the writers. |

Definitely her worst single. I'm all for a catchy chorus but this one is way too monotonous. The talk-singing thing is kind of dated now and I wish that both her and Julia would actually just sing normally, their voices sound better like that in my opinion. The only reason this is doing sort of well on radio is because it's Selena Gomez and her "anticipated" lead single. This wouldn't be heavily rotated had it been sung by a smaller artist, but I guess we could say the same for most songs being released by the "A-listers" these days. Based off its performance on streaming/iTunes, this will probably get yanked in the next few weeks if its metrics don't improve, and will get demoted to "promo-single" like "Focus" and "Bon Appetit"  |
