I think the reason why I don't like Peacock is mostly because I don't like songs that use the Mickey beat. Taylor's Shake It Off seems to be an exception but it's reliance on the beat is minimal.

Rise is a good song for the olympics but it is just flat out boring to me.

Peacock, I used to hate it. It's still a bit dumb but not as terrible as I remembered.
Rise was OK-ish but definitely not what people wanted from Katy Perry.

"Peacock" bubbled under the Hot 100, just sayin'
Not surprised with any of the losses so far, though @antigonerising and I seem to have a greater difference of opinion on Katy songs so far than we have in other rank downs in which we both participated.

I really liked Rise, I don't see why it was so unpopular.

"Not Like the Movies" is a song by American singer Katy Perry from her third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010). She co-wrote the song with its producer Greg Wells. Capitol Records released it on August 3, 2010, as the album's first promotional single. The song is a power ballad from the point of view of a teenage girl. Lyrically, the girl contemplates her first time and how "it wasn't right". She realizes through that experience that her "prince" is still "out there" waiting for her. It was written when Perry first started dating her then-husband, Russell Brand. CHART RUNS USA: Weeks On: 1 | Peak: 53 | 53-rip CANADA: Weeks On: 1 | Peak: 41 | 41-rip UK: ERROR 404 This is really cute.

didn't even realize I ranked this top 10 but it is okay. Honestly I don't like a majority of the songs on this rankdown. Didn't realize how boring she actually is. She has some great songs but a lot of not so great songs as well imo

I thought it was really pleasant upon first listen and a nice change of pace. Disappointed to see it out already.

"This Is How We Do" is a song recorded by American singer Katy Perry for her fourth studio album, Prism (2013). Perry co-wrote the song with its producers Max Martin and Klas Γ
hlund and recorded it in Stockholm, Sweden. The song was released as the album's fifth and final single on August 11, 2014. "This Is How We Do" is a dance-pop song influenced by hip hop, having "synth squiggles" and "melodic dots" as its main instrumentation. Lyrically, it has Perry sing-talking about her hangout routine with her friends. Pretty much tonight's upgrade is full of stinkers. let's see..
31. Peacock I hate everything about this song. It's bad, but not as bad as that other song featuring an animal.
30. Rise The music tuned me off completely. Pretty boring too.
29. Not Like In The Movies Starts our pleasant enough with the pianos, but never builds up to anything else.
28. This is How We Do..... Bad music. nuff said.

Whaat? Already my first Top 10 out :( I love the idea behind the song: It's not all your fault but also not all mine. And it is so beautiful. Deserved better

Still in the mediocrity zone but it's gonna get exciting soon I hope because most of tracks that are left are singles or well-received album tracks!

I knew It Takes Two would be my first top 10 song eliminated. It remains my favorite track on Prism. There's just something about it that captivates me each time I hear it.

I was listening to Ghost yesterday and I actually think that might be in my top 5 favourite Katy songs. I'm glad it wasn't in this rankdown because it would be out by now and I'd be out a top 10. smh

It Takes Two is one of those boring PRISM album cuts that mushes together with the other tracks with that similar sound. It's a snooze fest. Glad it's finally out.
This Moment is far superior, though that one is still mid range in her catalog for me. Ghost is in that section as well. If they were in this rank down, they'd probably be best the bottom of my top 20 or in the 21-25 range rather than #33 like It Takes Two.

TIHWD is super catchy but "It Takes Two" is great as a song. Really underrated here.
Same about Ghost, it would've been an easy top 10 for me.
