ALBUMS - 2. 4 [30 points]4 is the fourth studio album by American singer Beyoncé. It was released on June 24, 2011 by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. Following a career hiatus that reignited her creativity, Beyoncé was inspired to create a record with a basis in traditional rhythm and blues that stood apart from contemporary popular music. Her collaborations with songwriters and record producers The-Dream, Tricky Stewart and Shea Taylor produced a mellower tone, developing diverse vocal styles and influences from funk, hip hop, and soul music.
Severing professional ties with father and manager Mathew Knowles, Beyoncé eschewed the music of her previous releases in favor of an intimate, personal album. 4's lyrics emphasize monogamy, female empowerment and self-reflection, a result of Beyoncé considering a maturer message to contend artistic credibility. In May 2011, Beyoncé submitted seventy-two songs to Columbia Records for consideration, twelve of which appeared on the standard edition. - Wikipedia Average: 2.5 St Dev: 1.1677484162 Chart Peaks: US - 1 (1.5 mil+) / UK - 1 (2x Platinum) / Ireland - 1 / France - 2 / Australia - 2 (Platinum) / Netherlands - 2 / Canada - 3 / New Zealand - 3 / Germany - 5 / Japan - 10 / Sweden - 13 1 @antigonerising 1 jtd Thee Stallion 1 Fat Ass Kelly Price 2 bat1990 2 Ky 2 #LisaRinna 3 Choco 3 ry4n 3 Zeebz 4 aerodynamite 4 Albie4 born austin Az Paynter CF15 LBTrocks Sambalada .indulgecountry Leo ✔ Kanenrá:ke Normi @walker9 YotamTS

ALBUMS - 1. Beyoncé [29 points]Beyoncé is the fifth studio album by American singer Beyoncé, released on December 13, 2013, by Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records. Developed as a "visual album", Beyoncé's songs are accompanied by non-linear short films that illustrate the musical concepts conceived during production. Its dark, intimate subject material includes feminist themes of sex, monogamous love, and relationship issues, inspired by Beyoncé's desire to assert her full creative freedom.
The album's initial recording began in New York, where Beyoncé invited producers and songwriters to live with her for a month. During extensive touring the following year, the album changed as she conceived of creating a visual accompaniment to its songs and resumed recording sessions with electronic producer and rock musician Boots. Their collaboration led to more sonically experimental material, which combined contemporary R&B with electronic and soul music. Throughout this period, the album's songs and videos were composed in strict secrecy as Beyoncé devised an unexpected release. - Wikipedia Average: 2.4166666667 St Dev: 1.3789543689 Chart Peaks: US - 1 (2.3 mil+) / Canada - 1 (Platinum) / Australia - 1 (Platinum) / Netherlands - 1 / UK - 2 (500k+) / Ireland - 2 / New Zealand - 2 / Germany - 11 / Japan - 11 / France - 13 / Sweden - 27 1 Choco 1 ry4n 1 Zeebz 1 born 2 aerodynamite 2 @antigonerising 2 Fat Ass Kelly Price 3 bat1990 3 #LisaRinna 4 jtd Thee Stallion 4 Ky 5 Albieaustin Az Paynter CF15 LBTrocks Sambalada .indulgecountry Leo ✔ Kanenrá:ke Normi @walker9 YotamTS

5. Irreplaceable [340 points]"Irreplaceable" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her second studio album, B'Day (2006). The song was written by Shaffer "Ne-Yo" Smith, Tor Erik Hermansen, Mikkel, S. Eriksen, Espen Lind, Amund Bjørklund, Beyoncé and produced by Stargate and Beyoncé. "Irreplaceable" was originally a country record; it was re-arranged as a mid-tempo ballad with pop and R&B influences by modifying the vocal arrangements and instrumentation. During the production and recording sessions, Beyoncé and Ne-Yo wanted to create a record which people of either gender could relate to. The song's lyrics are about the breakdown of a relationship with an unfaithful man and the song contains a message about female empowerment. - Wikipedia Average: 15.4545454545 St Dev: 13.6022661723 Chart Peaks: US - 1 / Australia - 1 / Ireland - 1 / New Zealand - 1 / Canada - 2 / UK - 4 / France - 10 / Germany - 11 / Sweden - 19 01 #LisaRinna03 Sambalada03 Leo ✔04 Kanenrá:ke05 austin05 .indulgecountry06 CF1509 Ky09 @walker9 10 ry4n10 born10 jtd Thee Stallion12 LBTrocks14 Fat Ass Kelly Price15 Choco16 Albie17 Normi28 @antigonerising 38 Zeebz39 Az Paynter43 aerodynamite43 bat1990YotamTS

4. Sweet Dreams [321 points]"Sweet Dreams" is a song by American singer Beyoncé from her third studio album I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008). Originally titled "Beautiful Nightmare", it leaked online in March 2008. The song was written and produced by Beyoncé, James Scheffer, Wayne Wilkins, and Rico Love. Columbia Records released "Sweet Dreams", the album's sixth single, to mainstream radio and rhythmic contemporary radio playlists in the United States on June 2, 2009, and elsewhere on July 13. It is an electropop song whose instrumentation includes synthesizers, a keyboard, and snare drums. Brace yourselves, the shitstorm that will happen if Halo wins ain't gonna be pretty (but it'll be entertaining).
Sweet Dreams is my fave from IASF. Such a strong pop song, I was really happy when it became a top 10 hit despite being released towards the end of the era.
Irreplaceable is overrated.
#1, #7 and #9 left :) I didn't expect Partition to outlive so many songs.

3. Halo [320 points]"Halo" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce (2008). Included on the I Am... disc, it was intended to give a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Beyoncé's life, stripped of her make-up and celebrity trappings. Columbia Records released the song, the album's fourth single, to mainstream radio in the United States on January 20, 2009, and to international markets from February 20. Inspired by Ray LaMontagne's 2004 song "Shelter", "Halo" was composed by Ryan Tedder, Evan Bogart and Beyoncé. It was conceived by Tedder and Nealante specifically for Beyoncé, although there was media speculation that it had been intended for Leona Lewis. - Wikipedia Average: 14.5454545455 St Dev: 12.1409471378 Chart Peaks: New Zealand - 2 / Canada - 3 / Australia - 3 / UK - 4 / Ireland - 4 / US - 5 / Germany - 5 / Sweden - 8 01 ry4n02 CF1502 Leo ✔02 born02 Fat Ass Kelly Price05 Sambalada06 Normi07 Choco08 bat199010 .indulgecountry12 Ky12 @walker9 13 jtd Thee Stallion13 #LisaRinna17 Zeebz17 Kanenrá:ke22 Albie29 @antigonerising 32 aerodynamite33 austin36 Az Paynter39 LBTrocksYotamTS

1 and 8. So obviously I would like my #1 to win but I wouldn't be mad at either song winning. I don't know if y'all consider Crazy in Love to be more of a Beckyonce song but at least be grateful it wasn't Already Gone Part I I still have a lot of irrational saltiness at Ryan Tedder and RCA over the whole Halo/AG debacle. Two gorgeous and otherwise completely different songs that will eternally be tainted to me because the label was so up its own ass that they though it would be a good idea to release a song that sounded almost identical to a hit that was still on the damn radio. Law of diminishing returns, the redux never performs as well as the song that got out the gate first. You'd think Ryan Tedder would understand being an artist himself, no writer wants recycled beats. But I swear he sold that one track to like 18 different people that year. A mess.

It was a hit on Pop radio, which I've seen some people use as an argument for what is Becky vs the true Beyoncé.

2. Partition [300 points]"Partition" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé for her self-titled fifth studio album released in 2013. Beyoncé co-wrote and co-produced the song with Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, Jerome "J-Roc" Harmon, Dwane "Key Wane" Weir, and Mike Dean, with extra writing from The-Dream and extra production from Jordy "Boots" Asher. The song was sent to urban contemporary on February 25, 2014 as the third single from Beyoncé by Columbia Records.
The song consists of two parts, individually titled "Yoncé" and "Partition". "Partition" has been described as "electro-R&B" also known as PBR&B that moves "from a sweet, girl-group pop sound to Dirty South hip-hop". Its production musically consists of a sparse synthesized arrangement, a thrusting bassline and a heavy drumbeat giving it elements of electro-R&B. Exploring the deep, sexual nature of Beyoncé, "Partition" depicts sexual intercourse in the back of a limousine. The closing minute of the song features a French word interpolation slightly similar to a quote by actress Julianne Moore in the 1998 film The Big Lebowski. - Wikipedia Average: 14.5454545455 St Dev: 12.1409471378 Chart Peaks: US - 23 / Ireland - 57 / UK - 74 / Canada - 100 02 austin03 Kanenrá:ke04 @walker9 05 bat199005 ry4n05 Zeebz06 .indulgecountry06 born08 aerodynamite08 Albie08 @antigonerising 09 Choco10 Sambalada12 Fat Ass Kelly Price15 Az Paynter15 LBTrocks17 jtd Thee Stallion19 #LisaRinna29 Ky32 Normi39 Leo ✔43 CF15YotamTS

1. Crazy In Love (feat. Jay-Z) [167 points]"Crazy in Love" is the lead single from American singer Beyoncé's 2003 debut solo album, Dangerously in Love. It features a guest verse from rapper Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, who later married Knowles. The artists wrote and composed the song in collaboration with Rich Harrison and Eugene Record; the former also produced it with Beyoncé. Using samples from The Chi-Lites's 1970 song "Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)," "Crazy in Love" is an R&B and pop love song that incorporates elements of hip hop, soul, and 1970s-style funk music. Its lyrics describe a romantic obsession that causes the protagonist to act out of character.
Columbia Records released "Crazy in Love" on May 18, 2003, as the lead single from Dangerously in Love. It was a number-one hit in the United States and United Kingdom, and achieved top-ten peaks on several other countries's record charts. With global sales of 6.7 million. Music critics praised "Crazy in Love's" hook, Jay Z's contribution, and Beyoncé's assertive delivery of the lyrics. VH1 declared it the greatest song of the 2000s decade, while Rolling Stone ranked it as the 118th best song of all time in 2010. At the 46th Grammy Awards, "Crazy in Love" won Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. - Wikipedia Average: 7.5909090909 St Dev: 7.1291426781 Chart Peaks: US - 1 / UK - 1 / Ireland - 1 / Canada - 2 / Australia - 2 / Netherlands - 2 / New Zealand - 2 / Sweden - 4 / Germany - 6 / France - 21 01 @antigonerising 01 austin01 CF1501 Choco01 LBTrocks02 Sambalada02 Zeebz02 #LisaRinna03 Fat Ass Kelly Price04 Leo ✔04 Normi06 Albie06 Az Paynter06 Kanenrá:ke07 ry4n13 @walker9 15 jtd Thee Stallion16 .indulgecountry16 born17 bat199021 Ky22 aerodynamiteYotamTS
