Everyone's number one made it to the top 50 and all but one #2 made it in.
so that means we all had at least 1 artist in the top 50...what is the fewest # of artists from a single poster to appear in the Top50 & what is the most # of artists from a single poster to appear?

BTO has a personal significance to me: this game called Bachman that I used to play all the time on my old Macintosh.
It's essentially a Pacman clone but with BTO references: the Power Pellet is called a "Turner", and the apple is an "Overdrive". Plus, the intro music is taken from the BTO song "Not Fragile".

Ah too bad that both BTO and the Guess Who couldn't be in the top 50. Both are such iconic Canadian bands.
On a side note, I'm seeing Burton Cummings live next Saturday (Canada Day!) for the second time. Should be a great show.

I'm super curious what #2 ranked band failed to make the top 50, but probably best to keep us in suspense til later on

48. Kiesza
Total Points: 198 Number of lists: 12 Average Rank: 34.5 Median: 37
Years Active: 2007-present Biggest album: Sound of a Woman (2014) Biggest hit single: Hideaway (2014)
Province: Alberta en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kiesza
Being on as many lists as she is this low in the rankdown means Kiesza has both the lowest average at 34.5 and the lowest mean at 37. Out of the 12 lists she appeared one, only one ranked her in the Top 10 and just three put her in their top half.
Individual Rankings:
Ky - #6 jtd Thee Stallion - #14 Leo β - #19 Chelsea Press 2 - #33 born - #34 Leaf - #35 .indulgecountry - #39 @jamesflame - #44 Sambalada - #46 Troy - #46 Daryl the Beryl - #48 Juanca - #50
aerodynamite - n/c Unhinged - n/c janinho - n/c matteeeb - n/c KanenrΓ‘:ke - n/c Pipa - n/c @quirkyfarang - n/c Red - n/c someguy - n/c Devil Marlena Nylund - n/c Mirago - n/c trebor - n/c
Kiesza joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 2007, where she learned to play guitar and in 2008 gave away 45,000 CDs to troops serving in Afghanastan. She also entered the Miss Universe Canada Pageant and attended Berkeley. In 2010 she played for 30,000 people in London for Canada Day. The music video for Hideaway was all one-shot and Kiesza had broken a rib just before it was shot.

47. Fefe Dobson
Total Points: 202 Number of lists: 9 Average Rank: 28.6 Median: 30
Years Active: 2003-present Biggest album: Fefe Dobson (2003) Biggest hit single: Take Me Away (2003)
Province: Ontario en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fefe_Dobson
Fefe is the first artist from Toronto to make an appearance - and obviously she wonβt be the last. Ontario accounts for nearly 40% of the population of Canada. On this list, Ontario acts make up slightly more than half.
Individual Rankings:
KanenrΓ‘:ke - #8 Ky - #16 aerodynamite - #23 .indulgecountry - #28 Leaf - #30 born - #35 @quirkyfarang - #38 Chelsea Press 2 - #39 jtd Thee Stallion - #40
Daryl the Beryl - n/c Unhinged - n/c Sambalada - n/c @jamesflame - n/c janinho - n/c Leo β - n/c matteeeb - n/c Juanca - n/c Pipa - n/c Red - n/c someguy - n/c Devil Marlena Nylund - n/c Troy - n/c Mirago - n/c trebor - n/c
After her first album wound down, Fefe experienced record label troubles that kept her from releasing her second album. She made a surprise comeback in 2010 with a totally new sound and album Joy. Gone was her punk pop persona and in was her dance/pop sound. Fefe was engaged to rapper Yelawolf. Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez have recorded songs written by Fefe.

re: Fefe: Take Me Away was one of my favorites in 2003. I also heard Ghost and Stuttering all the time on Z103.5 in 2010.

That's probably all for tonight. I'll do more tomorrow, probably a few in the morning. My goal is to finish up on Canada Day! The next four are all acts each listed as #1 on at least one person's list. Four people lose their #1 across the next four acts. Who do you think they'll be?

I missed out on this one. I would have boosted votes for 80's bands and bands who appeared on Road Runner Reccords. I better see RUSH in the top 5 tho.

Everyone's number one made it to the top 50 and all but one #2 made it in. I have a correction to make with this statement.
Everyone's number one did make it in the Top 50 but several #2s didn't. I'll reveal those tomorrow. What I meant to say was that everyone's #1s were submitted by other people (and consequently got enough points to all make the Top 50) but there was a #2 that was submitted by only that person.

I already love this Rankdown! Great job! I just hope I'm not the one with the fewest songs in the top 50.

Pretty good job! And love the maple leaves As a caveat, I only ranked those artists who had relevant appearances in my personal charts. I know I had heard music from Fefe in some flights but haven't paid much attention so I didn't consider her in my rankdown. Interested in knowing how many of my ranked artists are here. Glad to see I contributed to BTO's inclusion in the rankdown :-$
