So, it looks like Castle on the Hill should be in the top 10 of Radio Songs this week. I consider it quite an accomplishment, since it was pretty much non-existent on radio for almost the first two months of its release along with Shape of You.

Any early predictions on Wild Thoughts? Well Top 10 is certainly in the bag at this point, and depending on the Spotify numbers tomorrow, Top 5 may be likely.

Without Me and Payphone were blocked in the summer of 2002 and 2012, respectively, but later in those years Lose Yourself and One More Night blocked Work It and Gangnam Style for a loooong time. That's a crazy coincidence.

Billboard posted today this article with a debatable headline (it depends on whether you consider songs in which an artist is featured should count the same way as songs by the same artist in which they/(s)he are credited or co-credited as lead artist): Ask Billboard: Justin Bieber Has Passed Bryan Adams & Celine Dion for Most Hot 100 No. 1s Among Canadians6/18/2017 by Gary Trust Plus, how notable is his less-than-two-year span of five leaders? Submit questions about Billboard charts, as well as general music musings, to askbb@billboard.com. Please include your first and last name, as well as your city, state and country, if outside the U.S. Or, tweet @gthot20 Hi Gary, Thanks to his featured role on Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," Justin Bieber is now the Canadian artist with the most Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers! Here's the count of acts from the Great White North with the most Hot 100 No. 1s: 5, Justin Bieber 4, Bryan Adams 4, Celine Dion 3, Drake 3, Nelly Furtado 3, The Weeknd Bieber has come a long way in a brief amount of time, after so many non-No. 1s, eh? (Canadian talk, eh?) As noted at the time, he led at last with "What Do You Mean?," his 47th Hot 100 entry, passing Taylor Swift, with 46, for the most appearances before topping the chart. Since then, he's gotten quite comfortable at the summit. Pharrell Williams & Justin Bieber Read More Chart Beat Podcast: 'Despacito' & 'I'm the One' Are This Year's 'Blurred Lines' & 'Get Lucky' Plus, Bieber has now topped Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs (as featured on DJ Khaled's "I'm the One") and Hot Latin Songs ("Despacito"), as well as Hot Dance/Electronic Songs with two non-Hot 100 No. 1s: "Where Are U Now," by Skrillex and Diplo with Bieber, and as featured on Major Lazer's "Cold Water." Hot Country Songs? Give him time. He's the (Canadian number) one, deleted Nelson Oakland, California Hi deleted, So much attention has been paid to "Despacito" becoming the first Spanish language-dominant No. 1 on the Hot 100 since Los Del Rio's "Macarena" in 1996 that focus was elsewhere (including geographically). But, yes, congrats to Bieber on reigning as the new Canadian king of the Hot 100, per the stat above! And, just to go … all around the world (as an ode to Bieber's No. 22 Hot 100 hit, featuring Ludacris, from 2012), The Beatles have achieved the most No. 1s among all artists, 20, and, thus, the most for a British act; Mariah Carey is the U.S.-born artist with the most Hot 100 leaders, 18; and Rihanna flies the flag for Barbados, with 14. Another Bieber feat: he's accumulated his five Hot 100 No. 1s in a span of one year and eight months, from "What Do You Mean?" (Sept. 19, 2015) through "Despacito" (May 20, 2017). While Katy Perry and Rihanna have each collected that many No. 1s in shorter spans this decade, Bieber is the first male artist to amass five Hot 100 leaders that quickly since … Michael Jackson scored five from Bad in only nine months and two weeks in 1987-88. Plus, Bieber is the first male artist to tally his first five No. 1s so swiftly since … Elvis Presley, who needed just one year, seven months and one week in 1959-61 (with Presley's career having predated the Hot 100's Aug. 4, 1958, inception). Among all artists, none gathered their first five Hot 100 No. 1s more quickly than Bieber since Carey, who added her fifth ("Emotions") on Oct. 12, 1991, just one year, two months and a week after her first ("Vision of Love") on Aug. 4, 1990 (the Hot 100's birthday). Can Bieber add to his No. 1 count with "2U," David Guetta's new single featuring Bieber? We'll find out tomorrow, when the new Hot 100 (dated July 1) is released.

July 4, 199201 02 Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-A-Lot (1st of 5 weeks at #1)02 01 I'll Be There - Mariah Carey Billboard noted in the magazine that week the run at #1 for "I'll Be There" was cut short due to the label deleting single; I wonder if it would have gotten another week or two at #1. It sold 478k total but isn't Gold so it must have sold what it shipped. You'd think they would have at least pressed 500k so it could be Gold. Odd.

It seems pretty clear to me how it was phrased. The headline is indeed true the way they wrote it Now if they added other qualifiers, like "as a lead" or whatever, then that would be different.

'Despacito' Dominates Hot 100 & Justin Bieber Has Week's Three Top-Selling Songs "Despacito," "I'm the One" & new "2U" make Bieber the first act ever with the week's top three-selling downloads.Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee's "Despacito," featuring Justin Bieber, tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart (dated July 1) for a sixth week. Bieber, meanwhile, becomes the first act with the top three best-selling digital downloads in a single week. As we do each Monday, let's run down the top 10 of the Hot 100, which blends all-genre sales, airplay and streaming data. All charts will update on Billboard.com tomorrow, June 20. "Despacito" (released on Universal Music Latino / Raymond Braun / SchoolBoy / Def Jam / UMLE / Republic Records) leads the Digital Song Sales chart for a sixth week, with 140,000 downloads sold (down 1 percent) in the week ending June 15, according to Nielsen Music; the remix with Bieber accounts for 80 percent of the song's sales for a third consecutive week. The track tops the Streaming Songs chart for a sixth week, with 69.4 million U.S. streams (up 2 percent) in the week ending June 15. On Radio Songs, "Despacito" darts 6-3 with 125 million in all-format airplay audience (up 12 percent) in the week ending June 18, adding the Hot 100's top Airplay Gainer award for a fifth consecutive week. "Despacito" also tops the Hot Latin Songs chart for a landmark 20th week (becoming the eighth title to reach the milestone, dating to the list's 1986 launch) and the Songs of the Summer chart for a third week (since the survey's return two weeks ago). DJ Khaled's "I'm the One," featuring Bieber, Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne, rises 3-2 on the Hot 100; it spent five weeks at No. 3 after debuting atop the May 20-dated chart. "One" adds a seventh week at No. 1 on Hot Rap Songs and a second week atop Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs (2-1) and holds at No. 2 on Digital Song Sales (77,000, up 9 percent). Bieber further makes history, becoming the first artist to rank at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 concurrently on Digital Song Sales, as David Guetta's "2U," featuring Bieber, launches at No. 3 on the sales tally with 72,000 first-week downloads sold (following its June 9 release), below "Despacito" and "I'm the One," respectively. "2U" debuts at No. 16 on the Hot 100, also sparked by its No. 21 arrival on Streaming Songs (14.2 million U.S. clicks) and No. 40 entrance on Radio Songs (28 million impressions). Bieber, meanwhile, doubles his longest Hot 100 reign. Of his four prior No. 1s, he had ruled the longest with "Sorry," for three weeks in early 2016. Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like" drops 2-3 on the Hot 100, following six weeks at No. 2 after it topped the May 13-dated chart. Still, it paces Radio Songs for a seventh week, with 154 million in audience (down 7 percent), tying his longest command as a lead artist with "Just the Way You Are" (2010) and "Locked Out of Heaven" (2013); he's led longer only as featured on Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk!" (12 weeks, 2015). "Like" also leads Hot R&B Songs for an 18th week. Ed Sheeran's former 12-week Hot 100 No. 1 "Shape of You" keeps at No. 4 and extends its record for the most weeks spent in the top five from a song's debut, having now tallied its first 23 weeks on the Hot 100 in the top five, dating to its start at No. 1 (Jan. 28). Rounding out the Hot 100's top five, Kendrick Lamar's "Humble.," which topped the May 6-dated Hot 100, is steady at No. 5. Future's No. 5-peaking "Mask Off" remains at No. 6 on the Hot 100 and The Chainsmokers and Coldplay's No. 3-peaking "Something Just Like This" lifts 8-7, as The Chainsmokers spend a 59th consecutive week in the Hot 100's top 10, a streak second only to Katy Perry's record 69-week run in 2010-11. The track logs a 12th week atop the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. Zedd and Alessia Cara's "Stay" rebounds 9-8 on the Hot 100 after climbing to No. 7; Post Malone's first Hot 100 top 10, "Congratulations," featuring Quavo, rises to a new best rank (10-9); and Lil Uzi Vert's "XO TOUR Llif3" descends to No. 10 from its No. 7 high. Just beyond the Hot 100's top 10, Childish Gambino's "Redbone" reaches a new peak (16-14) and Halsey's "Now or Never" enters the top 20 (21-20). Plus, Selena Gomez's "Bad Liar" leaps 45-23, hitting a new high (passing its prior best of No. 27), as it vaults 34-12 on Digital Song Sales (34,000 sold, up 100 percent) and re-enters Streaming Songs at No. 34 (12.2 million U.S. streams, up 34 percent), following the June 14 premiere of its official video. Seeing TWIL collapse that hard is fascinating. Also, ITO visibly slowed down. We are going to have the most Latino summer ever. Despacito, Bruno, Wild Thoughts, maybe Felices Los 4... TWIL finally ran out of major formats to slow down the decline, after finally hitting #1 on Urban. That, and VOTF is probably cannibalizing it. As for ITO, I'm pretty sure radio's gonna be the only thing holding it up in the near future.

The Chainsmokers only 10 weeks to go to tie that record!! They should release a video or drop a stand-alone single featuring Bieber

I like the Chainsmokers but I want Katy to keep the record with her streak of 69 weeks. Thankfully SJLT doesn't seem to have the stamina to last another 10 weeks.
