blaming the label is not solution. she just had surgery for her knee, so there is really nothing they can do.
they treated her like their biggest artists. justin timberlae also had 4 videos released before the album. praying was very well promoted in my eyes and they truly put her back on the map.

There is no solution that can be talked about on a board. We’re not her management. I’m not “blaming” the label, moreso thinking logically about why they couldn’t give a fuck about her going more than a single+-a feature deep.

Kesha made herself a respected artist by the GP and the industry when she went public with the abuse. Sony caved when the backlash got too strong. I don’t think they’re interested in her career past this record, nor did they ever intend on this project being a priority for them past it’s release. P!nk and Justin are such bad examples because they’re legacy artists. They’ve been around for 15+ years and they’re established, and their name does a lot when they drop a record. This was a completely different situation.

The fact that she released an album at all is a win, let alone a good one like Rainbow.
How many albums does she have left with Sony? Start Rihanna-ing you way through that thing and get a better label soon!

It's a shame that they didn't capitalize on the Grammys performance.

she has the worst luck. the fact that she can't be performing for months due to her surgery sucks!
i don't get why her label won't at least discount this to boost sales and encourage station to play it. let's see if they have a plan.

It sucks because the video already exists, she can't perform and Good Old Days is actually kind of becoming a radio hit. All signs point to it not really going any farther, which is too bad, because I really thought the song could do more, but it's still nice it has been able to come this far, and has already charted once before.
A discount would be nice, but her team seems to be avidly against doing that for whatever reason...
I smell a rat TBH.

The label is dropping the ball for sure, but I still mantain that LTLG was a much safer choice. In the end, with GOD doing well and maybe stealing Woman's thunder a bit, it might end up being for the best, so that LTLG can have the spotlight for itself if it's the third single.

i think radio sadly said no. the label over estimated the cultural relevancy of the song, in the current climate. and it sucks more that she can't promote due to her injury.

I'm surprised they went with this as the 2nd single. This song has never sounded like a hit to me, and they waited way too long in-between singles. "Learn to Let Go" should have been the 2nd single in all territories (Yes I know it was a flop worldwide but I think it would a been a decent hit here)

This is at #182 on iTunes
I've got literally no details on streaming so, this is facing an uphill battle until some streaming support comes in

It's weird to me that so many people think this doesn't sound like a hit. To me, it sounds like it should be huge.
Learn To Let Go is the one that doesn't sound like a hit to me.
The best option is to remix Hymn and push it as single #3 in a month. If they got Chance The Rapper or Logic or even Macklemore again, it could work out. I mean, they already shot the video... so it would not make sense to just shelve it...

This actually got something of a bump in the final Sunday update, so the pop update is a little bit smaller than that. Using the final update against today's numbers you get this:
34 35 KESHA Woman f/Dap-Kings 1342 1425 -83 4.137
+20 Spins +12 Bullet +0.537 Audience
A minor difference, but still.

I think all these other new songs to make the chart recently have frozen out Kesha's room to grow, which is BS.

I’ve never heard the radio version, but — right? — it can never have the punch of being able to shout I’m a motherf**king woman.
A singer who revived her career with an emotional, gut-wrenchingly real ballad then had her team pick a song that couldn’t have been played on the radio without it losing the entire thing that makes t punch in the first place.
Gross, safe, craven, and so emblemic of suits around a table who wouldn’t know artistic integrity if it bit them in the dick.

I think they should go with something that doesn't have a video if they do another single.
Promotional bump, etc. etc.

See, it seems over, but big stations keep adding it.
