I will not stand this Hymn hate.
Hymn is super relateable. I see no reason why it wouldn't strike a chord with the same group that loved things like Royals and Here. Lyrically, it matches the feel of those and has a feeling of unity within a very large demographic (cough, that also streams heavily, cough).
Sonically, it's wonderful! So many interesting sounds and pops and quirks. I also don't get where the "void of energy" sentiment comes in. I just don't hear any lack of energy on anything from Rainbow.

Hymn is cute, but I don't see it as a successful single.

Imagine this becoming bigger hit than "Praying".

Why would they close the era after 2 singles? That makes no sense. Because nothing else is radio friendly. This is just wrong.

Imagine this becoming bigger hit than "Praying". For me, this is easily imaginable.

I don't think I would be taking single advice from Ciara. :sip2:

This was the wrong choice. Not in the States, it isn't. Think about where our nation is at right now. The #MeToo movement, and the sort of feminist icon Kesha has become since coming forward with her story. Right now, more than anything, Kesha is being acknowledged as a figure of inner-strength and empowerment, and I do feel this track perfectly captures her message. She is a strong woman. Always has been, always will be. Right now, the American GP is responding to that. That's what has kept her going strong. She's real, and this song only amplifies that. I'm not sure about the #metoo movement and radio correlation. I guess we'll see.

While "Hymn" is my least favorite, it would be similar to some songs on CHR/Pop at the moment. However, I'm not sad they went with this instead. If the bland "A Little Work" from Fergie wasn't DOA, then I'm cautiously hopeful given the spins it's getting already.

I really like this song, but I hate the laughing she does during the track. I wish they would edit that out.

I can see this being a hit. I can also see it failing hard. We'll have to wait and see I guess.

Boots seems quite radio friendly to me, there's a few viable single options on the album.

Obviously i'm exaggerating but literally what other songs are radio friendly besides Praying (already a single) and Hymn (instant grat)...nothing. Maybe Learn to Let Go in like 2011.

Praying is back in iTunes Top 50 right now. It just WON'T DIE. Meanwhile, it still looks like "Woman" is seeing a good amount of early airplay love without having an official impact date! Think they're waiting for the freeze to thaw out after Christmas before hitting hard with some fresh promo?...

Also you: Praying, Woman, Learn to Let Go, and Hymn are all radio friendly. At least pick one side and stick with it when you go about spouting nonsense!
