Remember when people were crying for "Fire Bomb" to be a single. *remembers me being one of them*
I was obsessed with it back then but oddly its one of the few tracks from the album I barel revisit at all now. It's aged pretty badly. G4L is still the highlight imo

It’d probably breaks 2010’s records on Urban and Rhythmic radio and Pop radio would happily take it to #1 also. The general public would probably have a much greater appreciation for songs ala. “Russian Roulette & Te Amo” if they were released today also. The albums more Electro/Urban stance and sound would probably fair better in today’s musical climate than, let’s say, “Good Girl Gone Bad” and most certainly “LOUD” as a whole. Now, go and play “Cold Case Love” and come back with a different opinion. I won’t have anyone demean “Rated R” at all! |

"Stupid in Love" is probably my least favorite on Rated R, but I think every song on that album is good-great. It might be my favorite album of hers.

Unpopular opinion, but Rated R is her best album for me. I even love Rockstar 101. Wait Your Turn was SO left field at the time. Leading with Russian Roulette? Fucking power move. I remember DRAGGING her vocal, but listening now? It’s aged really well and she sounds fine. The diversity in her catalog is second only to Madonna. |

I'm sure this has been posted back in September, but according to this dude who attended Universal Music France open session, Rihanna is planned for a December release.
He also said Drake, The Weeknd, Kanye (already happened), Sting & Migos are planning for this month.
So don't lose hope yet everyone!

I am going to revisit her catalog today. Now that I am about 1/5 through her visual autobiography, I am even more of a fan. The book, beyond being HEAVY (legit 15 pounds!! Most of her twink stans could never lift it), is absolutely STUNNING. Worth every penny. The pics are beautiful and just reminds me how naturally attractive she is. The camera really loves her. Highly recommended.

So I've officially given up on a 2019 release date. She only has 2-3 more weeks for a realistic release date. I just hope we get it Q1. 4 years is a very long time, without a new album and over 2 years without even a feature is crazy. Pray for R9.
