Only one more song to go before the top 10! Will The Brazilian Guy 🇧🇷's #1 make it?? Stay tuned! But first, another album track!

Really surprised to see "The Hard Way" doing so well on the album tracks rankdown... it's a great song but i didn't think it would stand out so much against other songs. Interesting!

"Wild One" was something I was worried might rank really high, but I've always found it overrated in her catalog. Glad to see that wasn't the case here!

It also sees the elimination of the Fireflies album! (Or does it... ) Anyway, the music video for this song is truly epic. Faith's Fireflies era was SO strong video-wise! I love her darker hair in this video, and I also love the fact that she and Tim are acting like an anguished couple who broke up but are still in love with each other. Oh and they also happen to be in a musical duo together. Such an interesting concept, with incredible acting from both of them! If you haven't seen the video, I highly recommend you watch it! I am okay seeing this song leave before the top 10, but I am also glad it made it pretty high.

12. "Wild One" Album: Take Me as I Am Country Airplay Peak: 1 Well, if only 2 of us had chosen to rank it just 1 position higher, it would have made the top 10!! And it definitely would have deserved the top 10. This is one of Faith's most iconic songs. Her very first single, and it was a HUGE hit! She splashed onto the scene in a BIG way with this one! And with that, the title track is the last song remaining from her debut album.[/div]
Yup! I can't believe this missed the top 10. I definitely underranked it.

Got this one right on!
I LOVE "Like We Never Loved at All" so much... beautifully written with a great powerful performance. The music video only makes me love it more (as it is one my favorites from her catalog!) Btw... It was also Faith's last Grammy win!

I'm pleasantly surprised to see "If My Heart Had Wings" and "The Secret Of Life" still in. I'd love to see "When The Lights Go Down" or "Let Me Let Go" take this, but they're probably both long shots.

I'm not very surprised by the top ten, although I expected "When the Lights Go Down" to miss the top ten. Also really glad "Mississippi Girl" missed the top 10 since that song has always bugged me.

11. "Like We Never Loved at All" Album: Fireflies Country Airplay Peak: 5 Year: 2005
Like We Never Loved at All is my favourite Faith & Tim duet. When I first found this song on youtube I listened to it none stop for a few days. There is just something addictive in her voice and in melody. And video is amazing too.
My remaining ranks: 2,4,5,6,9,15,20,22,26,28
Top 10 is alright but nothing more than that (because I already lost my #1 and #3). I like songs that I placed in top 25 very much (Faith has really strong cataog) but I still hope that one of my top 10 songs wins. It would be awesome if my numbr two pull off the surprise win but I have already gave up on that.
My predictions
10. When The Lights Go Down 9. It Matters To Me
8. Cry 7. If My Heart Had Wings
6. Let Me Let Go 5.The Secret Of Life 4.Take Me As I Am 3.The Way You Love Me 2.This Kiss 1. Breathe
Is there anything on this list that is a surprise to you? Yes. At the begining of this rankdown I didn't think that Cry can make it anywhere near top 10 but during the presentation I changed my mind a little when I saw that a lot of people like Cry album but I still didn't think that will actually end up in top 10.
What would you like to see win? My number #2

Wave. Leo ✔ I have always been blown away by Faith's vocal on this song. I didn't remember it being a single though, because I was only like 9 when the album came out. So I had no idea a country remix existed! And now I regret posting a link to the music video in the OP, because imo the country remix eliminates a lot of what makes this song great. In the original her voice is so resonant and powerful but laid back and soft at the same time, and in the country version it almost seems slightly sped up or something, like she doesn't spend as much time on the verses. Which is not a good change imo, because this song does not have any kind of huge chorus or something to look forward to. All the magic is in how the verses play out.Now let's talk about the production. The original uses a f**king ENGLISH HORN prominently!!!! For those who haven't previously cared enough to know, an English Horn is basically a larger oboe that nobody ever uses because they are incredibly rare and expensive. The fact that Faith uses one in this song is like super swanky, and it is also incredibly effective at adding to the emotional impact of this song. The production to this song perfectly complements Faith's vocal as well as the brilliant melodic structure of the verses, and makes the song seem powerful in ways that the country version fails to capture. If you are only familiar with the country version, PLEASE listen to the first 20 seconds or so of the original to hear the English horn in the intro!!!
Edit: I can definitely understand why this is out early. I can understand it seeming "boring" to many. But listening to the original, I find it MUCH less boring than when I listen to the music video... Finally playing catch up! I'm up to here and I gotta say...Screw all y'all this is simply gorgeous and obviously too good for you guys. :(

Daaaaaamn, wtf?! "You're Still Here" is a gorgeous song! I am totally shocked and disappointed that this is in the bottom 10! It is indeed a gorgeous song! Faith's subtle interpretation is also incredibly heartbreaking... There are 2 lines in it in particular that always get me... "And I woke up wondering what was real. Is it what you see and touch or what you feel?"and "I heard you in a stranger's laugh and I hung around to hear him laugh again...Just once again"My two favorite lines as well!

"Last night I dreamed about the washing machine" - one of the most unique lyrics in all of country music. Literally get chills on that line. My previous relationship reminds me of this song so much. I already loved the song but after leaving my ex this one hit home even harder. Makes me wish Alan Jackson had written more songs for female artists as I think his lyrics are always amazing.

Those 2 verses are my favourite part of the song too. They really goes straight to the heart. Edit: the second verse of those 2 my favourits is verse before the one someguy wrote; "I used to dream about what I would be" "Last night I dreamed about the washing machine"

I like When the Lights Go Down, but I'm really surprised it's in the top 10 over songs like Wild One and There You'll Be. I'm somewhat surprised to see Take Me As I Am in the top 10 over Wild One, but that's another favorite of mine, so I'm happy to see it so high. I've been predicting When the Lights Go Down to be next one out every time since #15...I would say I would think it would be the next one out, but I'll probably be wrong haha.

I'd like to see the top 10 go like this:
10. When the Lights Go Down 9. Take Me As I Am 8. Let Me Let Go 7. If My Heart Had Wings 6. The Secret of Life 5. The Way You Love Me 4. It Matters to Me 3. Cry 2. This Kiss 1. Breathe
But chances are, I am way off track from what it actually is. Relieved to see my #1 still in the game; I doubt it'll make top 3, but maybe top 5 would be doable.

I just have to say, "Why" absolutely should have been included on the Fireflies album. It is one of the best songs Faith has ever recorded vocally, and it also has some chilling lyrical moments. Dealing with suicide from the perspective of those who are left behind makes this song extremely unique topically.
I mean, just look at this opening verse:
"You must have been in a place so dark You couldn't see the light Reachin' for you through the stormy cloud Now here we are gathered In our little hometown This can't be the way you were meant to draw a crowd"
Also, Faith's vocal when she gets to...
"Oh, but I, I have one burning question Who told you life wasn't worth the fight They were wrong and they lied Now you're gone and I cry..."
...gives me hella chills. Every. Damn. Time. What an absolutely transcendental musical moment that is.
