Sam Hunt should try go for #1/top 5! Discount Body Like a Back Road on iTunes (its iTunes run has been incredible), get it on top of the Top Hits Spotify Playlist and then release a video which appeals to both his pop and country fans (which may be easier said than done). A remix would help too but it does annoy me sometimes when Despacito comes on and the DJ says "that was Justin Bieber's brand new song Despacito!", or "coming up next is Despacito by Justin Bieber (feat./and) Luis Fonsi)". It would be sad to hear "you just heard Bieber's next #1 hit Body Like a Back Road", especially after so far Sam has come with this song (and his other singles) which just his own name

Do these radio deejays even do research? Bieber didn't write the song nor did he perform in the original version. He made the song popular in America, but it's not his song. It's Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee' song, not Bieber's, I'd expect to hear that from the young fans/Beliebers. And no thanks, we're good on Body Like A Backroad. We don't need that hitting #1.

Remember what I said 2 weeks ago everyone. Bodak Yellow is going to be the song to dethrone Despacito from number 1. what is it with you and this song? It's definitely hitting the top 10 but it's certainly not going to be a #1 hit. It needs more than just streaming for that to happen.

How so? It premiered mid-spring. It's time. the drops are colossal dude Well, aside from the song being almost four months old, he also has another single, Wild Thoughts, on radio. That tends to happen to any artist after they release a new single after the older one. It's a natural process for radio, especially when both songs have over 100 million in AI to drop one of the songs, typically the older one for the newer one? You're looking too much into it.

Fun fact: This week marks That's What I Like's 25th in the Top 10, which makes Bruno Mars the first artist to ever have 2 songs that spent 25 or more weeks in the Top 10. Uptown Funk is a head with 31.

The next #1 will be either Wild Thoughts or Unforgettable, and it's possible that both songs might hit #1.

This may be a weird and stupid question but I just want someone to tell me if this is true or not: can the background music to "In a Heartbeat" chart on the Hot 100?
Given the fact that a song like "We Might Be Dead by Tomorrow" charted because of a viral commercial and the virality of the short, could it chart if that short has enough views to make it onto the Hot 100?

If Despactio can't beat One Sweet Day, go for 15 weeks at least, so many 14 week #1s already

Unforgettable may be the song to dethrone Despacito. Rising heavily in all metrics and not too far behind WT

I didn't expect That's What I Like to have this kind of longevity. I hope Versace on the Floor can still hit the top 10

At week 13, this song is so big, it really doesn't matter whose name is on the remix, this does not even need to be the Justin Bieber remix anymore. A Jason DeRulo remix could have gotten this song from week 12 to week 13, week 11 to week 12, week 10 to week 11 and a few others beyond that.

I totally forgot about Apologize, I thought Counting Stars only reached 25 weeks. Anyways, Bruno is first solo act to reach the tier.

Both OneRepublic's Apologize (not as lead artist) and Counting Stars spent 25 weeks in the top 10. did UF end up tying the record? I don't understand the question, did UF tie what record? For most Top 10 weeks? No, it got to 31. For most Top 5 weeks? Yes. But the record was shattered by Closer in March, then tied by Shape Of You last month.

Next radio single for Ed Sheeran? Maybe Galway Girl? It's more then likely Perfect -- Castle on the Hill probably has a bit more juice left in it, but after its done they said they wanted to push Perfect as a fall single.

Perfect is an alright song, but we don't need another boring Ed Sheeran song stinking up the radio. I just spent 3 months listening to Ed's humble brag piece of crap song that is Castle On The Hill. Galway Girl is a perfect pop track with tons of energy and radio appeal, it deserves an official US release.

Your top 5 list is right, but from last week's top 10 Hot 100 article, including this week's top 10, the next songs on the list are: 24 weeks That's What I Like - Bruno Mars (2016-17) 23 weeks The Twist - Chubby Checker (1960-62)
