It's more then likely Perfect -- Castle on the Hill probably has a bit more juice left in it, but after its done they said they wanted to push Perfect as a fall single. Yawn. Perfect is an alright song, but we don't need another boring Ed Sheeran song stinking up the radio. I just spent 3 months listening to Ed's humble brag piece of crap song that is Castle On The Hill. Galway Girl is a perfect pop track with tons of energy and radio appeal, it deserves an official US release. Hey, I don't make the news, I just report it. Though for what it's worth I think Galway Girl is atrocious.

Perfect is an absolute stunning ballad about wholesome, feel-good love, and I don't think I'm alone in this opinion. Both COTH and SOY were energetic, uptempo songs, so it would be alright to go with a downtempo ballad like Perfect now, which also has a ton of radio appeal.

To me Perfect is like Thinking Out Loud but without the passion. A lot of Divide is basically just Multiply but watered down, which is why I'm not really a fan of Perfect or most of that album. Though it's an okay song, definitely better than COTH. Probably a pick for my worst of the year IMO.

Imagine if Despacito got discounted the same week as "Wild Thoughts"? lol Kinda rooting for both tbh. Hope "Despacito" can get 17 weeks or at least tie the record with 16 and then "Wild Thoughts" gets to #1 the week after.

so the top 10 record: 32 weeks LeAnn Rimes – "How Do I Live" (1997–98) The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey – "Closer" (2016–17) 31 weeks Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars – "Uptown Funk" (2014–15) 30 weeks Santana featuring Rob Thomas – "Smooth" (1999–2000) Ed Sheeran – "Shape of You" (2017) and the top 5?? 27 weeks The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey – "Closer" (2016–17) Ed Sheeran – "Shape of You" (2017) 25 weeks LeAnn Rimes – "How Do I Live" (1997–98) Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars – "Uptown Funk" (2014–15) did i forgot something? and how many weeks did "Smooth" spent in top 5? does anyone have the full list? Your top 5 list is right, but from last week's top 10 Hot 100 article, including this week's top 10, the next songs on the list are: 24 weeks That's What I Like - Bruno Mars (2016-17) 23 weeks The Twist - Chubby Checker (1960-62) thanks.. just wondering how come the twist can manage 23 weeks @ top 5 in 3 different year.

I don't understand the question, did UF tie what record? For most Top 10 weeks? No, it got to 31. For most Top 5 weeks? Yes. But the record was shattered by Closer in March, then tied by Shape Of You last month. so the top 10 record: 32 weeks LeAnn Rimes – "How Do I Live" (1997–98) The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey – "Closer" (2016–17) 31 weeks Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars – "Uptown Funk" (2014–15) 30 weeks Santana featuring Rob Thomas – "Smooth" (1999–2000) Ed Sheeran – "Shape of You" (2017) and the top 5?? 27 weeks The Chainsmokers featuring Halsey – "Closer" (2016–17) Ed Sheeran – "Shape of You" (2017) 25 weeks LeAnn Rimes – "How Do I Live" (1997–98) Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars – "Uptown Funk" (2014–15) did i forgot something? and how many weeks did "Smooth" spent in top 5? does anyone have the full list? Closer tied the record at 32

just wondering how come the twist can manage 23 weeks @ top 5 in 3 different year. The Twist hit #1 twice in two separate chart runs, first one was in 1960, second one in 1962, so it was top 5 in two years, not three, but that is still impressive

Signs dropped from 98 to 100, so could potentially have another week left in it. Passionfruit is gone after this week

I hope that it will still be enough to make the year end list now....
Ill be super pissed if Look At Me makes it and songs like The Fighter, Down, This Town, Love Me Now, The Greatest miss it.
I know at least 2 of those are bound 2 miss it. But if 3 or more miss it, Ill be annoyed.

It's great to see a chart and not see Closer in it, just like I'm hoping that next week I see a chart without Drake. Last year, he was overexposed enough as it is, and hasn't gone one week without charting since his first hit in 2009. I think we need a break from him, enough is enough. I'm personally pulling for the streak to finally end.
