I finally got to see the list of performers that have been announced so far. My question is whatβs up with the Dierks Bentley & Rascal Flatts collab? Is this maybe a new song from Dierksβ next album or is it maybe a tribute to someone? Also the Brad Paisley & Kane Brown collab is interesting as well. Maybe itβs going to be a combination of their new singles βHeaven Southβ & βHeavenβ?

Dierks Bentley and Rascal Flatts would probably be a tribute since Rascal Flatts has a single out on radio and according to carriekins we shouldn't expect new Dierks Bentley music til around ACMs. Also here's what Country Universe predicted for the award winners. www.countryuniverse.net/2017/11/06/2017-cma-awards-picks-predictions/

All I know is that Dierks and RF collaboration makes no sense and I'm not here for it. (I like RF just fine, but Dierks and Gary have TOTALLY DIFFERENT VOICES and I feel like it's basically just going to be a "wtf" moment.)
But yes, I don't expect new Dierks music until next year, and I expect this to be a tribute of some sort.

Special collaboration = "Get Together" which I'm assuming is the old Youngbloods song from the 60's?

I hope they put all the categories on the show. They seem to leave out the Vocal Event every year and tell us on the red carpet.

I'm super curious about what Miranda will sing. I don't think she's doing Tin Man and she's said before that she would use every opportunity she gets to showcase different album cuts, so I wonder what she'll go for.

I saw the very end of ET last night as I turned to that channel, and they said they had an exclusive with Miranda tonight at her performance rehearsal, and there was a big neon pink pair of sunglasses behind her, so could be "Pink Sunglasses", but who knows. Personally, I'd prefer something else.

According to Jimmy Carter (entertainment & news reporter) Kane Brown will be joining Brad Paisley in singing his new single βHeaven South.β
Iβm having some mixed feelings about this years award show, specifically the amount of collaborations already announced.

She should perform "Highway Vagabond" but that's just me.

You just mentioned my two favourite songs beside Tin Man from TWOTW album so I would be more than happy if she perfome either one. Maybe she will performe one of the songs that were mentioned as her next possible singles in Tin Man thread. But seriously anything but Pink Sunglasses please.Β

If Church doesn't take Entertainer of the Year after a tour of no openers, 4 hours, 40 songs per show, all from his heart, it'll be the last CMA show I watch

I have a bad feeling Garth will win again. I am literally okay with anyone but him winning.

Hmmm... with almost everyone predicting that Miranda will win album of the year tomorrow, will she be able to move enough copies to block Blake from debuting @ no1 on country charts???

Miranda gave an interview to Extra backstage at the CMAs and apparently she will be performing "To Learn Her" "Country star Miranda Lambert is getting ready for her big CMA Awards performance in Nashville. One day before the show, βExtraβsβ special correspondent Alecia Davis spoke with Lambert as she belted out βTo Learn Herβ at rehearsals."Video Interview (EXTRATV)I personally loved it as it is one of the most traditional sounding songs on the record and she sounds great singing it!

HERE for "To Learn Her." One of TWOTW's shiniest gems.

I wonder if she's performing "To Learn Her" because it references Thanksgiving... Wouldn't exactly be my pick for her song to sing (personally I'd love another "Tin Man" performance because it would a great sales boost for the song), but she can't really go wrong with TWOTW because it's a fantastic album through-and-through. I'm a little surprised she's doing something that wasn't one of the songs being tested for the fourth single though. I would've figured that she might make more sense at this point if she didn't want to reprise "Tin Man."

Well, RIP "Tin Man". It won't have a chance to make the top 20 now. Don't think even a win for "Single" and/or "Song" will generate enough interest to get it to pick up
