Being as it's an ad and not necessarily a single cover, it may not provide any insight. But if the photo is indicative of the song, I'd say it's more of a ballad. Hoping more "Drink a Beer" than "Strip it Down." I'm optimistic from the previews we've heard at the VIP shows.

Please, turn it around Luke! No "M.O.V.E" or anything similar (on the album as a whole). I hope he writes with Chris Stapleton a little bit more, or at least pulls from his co-writes. I like Luke because he seems like a really good guy, but he needs to give me music I can root for.

He's performed a song live a few times called "Like You Said You Do" but don't know if it will be the lead single or not.

It'll be hard for Luke Bryan to follow up on an album that contained SIX #1 hits. Of course, his chart topping spree will continue with the upcoming album.

He's been playing that one for a bit and I'm not sure how "ready" the other songs are. He did say he was pretty much done with the album, but who knows what that means--writing, picking, recording, mixing, etc.

Interesting time for Luke right now. Sam Hunt has seemingly replaced him as the face of country music right now, and this could indicate a slight dip in his popularity. Thomas Rhett and Florida Georgia Line are getting close in popularity as well. I think he really needs to come out with something strong and big to help solidify his grounding a bit. Some time off will probably do him some good, but he needs to make an impact this era (not speaking in terms of radio play, thinking more sales and streaming).

Kind of digging that pained expression in the ad. Bring me something deep, Luke! Make me feel something.

Er, FGL has had a big hit single recently, and Sam is obviously hot....but Luke is easily the biggest live seller outside of Garth. Also, I think an open question exists if Sam is planning to stay in country. Thomas isn't really even in the same conversation, and you'll notice he hasn't hit top 5 in biggest box score. He's behind a lot of people in touring #'s. Also Craving you sold well, but not that well. Thomas and Sam are the two biggest streamers though. I think if you're arguing face of country music you can make good cases for: Luke Garth Carrie Blake and then secondary Chris S and Sam

What's the argument for Aldean over Bryan? (i.e. what does Aldean have/do that Luke doesn't do bigger?)

What's the argument for Aldean over Bryan? (i.e. what does Aldean have/do that Luke doesn't do bigger?)Â How many stadiums/arenas does Luke sell out a year compared to Aldean? Also he's the reigning 2 time ACM Entertainer of the Year. If you're talking about streaming/downloads then yeah Luke is much better at that. I'm just talking concert tickets. I'm pretty sure Aldean makes more a year than Luke. I never hear of Luke selling out major sports arenas or stadiums like Aldean. If he does then my bad. I have nothing against Luke he is one of the faces of country music. I'm just saying Aldean is one too. Aldean Luke Blake Garth Carrie FGL Keith These are the faces in my opinion in country music. Sam has a long ways to go to be considered in this elite group. Thomas is so close to being in this group to me. Miranda if she would have consistent Airplay hits I'd consider her as well.

I think the time off that Luke took was a good and a needed thing.I am ready for a new single but I prefer not creat high expectations about it and wait to see how it comes.

Kenny also up there with his stadium shows.

Luke has sold out huge stadiums to the likes Aldean has never done. Nothing against Jason, but Luke's tours are much bigger than his. :)

Yeah Luke has been putting up some Kenny and Garth-esque touring numbers the past few years - multiple dates in almost every city, stadiums, the Farm Tour, etc.

When Luke cones around here it's never in a stadium. It's always in a venue that has a capacity around 20,000

Luke is definitely the biggest touring act in the genre after Garth. The current "faces" of the genre right now I would think are Luke, Sam, Thomas, Carrie, Kenny, and maybe Miranda (though her commercial stock is falling).

However, I also adore "I Don't Want This Night To End" and "Roller Coaster", so a song in that style would also be welcomed by me. I just want it to be good. "Fast" didn't do it for me. Never did like that one.

Been playing "What Makes You Country", a song he, Dallas Davidson, and Ashley Gorley wrote quite often for his VIP crowds. Figures to be a single at some point but I don't know if it will be the lead off single. We should find out on Wednesday or Thursday of this week however.

Dang, out of the four clips I've heard from VIP shows they are all good. I'm glad he's going back to that older sound of his. It's not just about the production, but the structure and the melody of these clips is a return to his roots.

I really loathe that "What Makes You Country" song. Actually I feel that way about most everything Dallas Davidson has a hand in writing for Luke. Every single song sounds all the same with the same references of dirt roads, tractors, fishing, Georgia, Flint River. SO tired of that same ole song. Give me Most People Are Good, or Hungover in a Hotel Room.

well that title isn't very encouraging. (In theory it can't be worse than the putrid Like You Say You Do though)

I'm pretty sure some of ya'll would hate Luke if he released Beethoven's 5th. I'm not sure I've seen a more unjustifiably criticized artist on here (maybe FGL but when you're putting your pink umbrella in things you kind of lose credibility). Even the artists I absolutely loathe I will say when I like something they release.

The rest of Luke's catalog I like pretty well and there are several songs I love.

I would say there's a reason some people aren't fans.
