"The song's music video broke the record for most-watched music video within 24 hours by achieving 43.2 million views on YouTube in its first day, topping the 27.7 million views Adele's "Hello" attracted in that timeframe"
An excerpt from it's Wikipedia article, so there it broke the record by that much.

It looks like Taylor is on her way to breaking the first week record on CHR. Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" currently holds it. This was its first week: -- 31 LADY GAGA Born This Way 1838 0 1838 16.730 -- 20 LADY GAGA Born This Way 3665 0 3665 31.218 -- 16 LADY GAGA Born This Way 5190 0 5190 43.500 -- 11 LADY GAGA Born This Way 6179 0 6179 50.693 -- 9 LADY GAGA Born This Way 7189 0 7189 57.465 -- 7 LADY GAGA Born This Way 8336 0 8336 64.969 -- 5 LADY GAGA Born This Way 9520 0 9520 74.960 "Can't Stop the Feeling" almost broke it last year when it reached 9,472 spins on its 7th day (9,290 bullet). Nothing else to my knowledge has gotten close. Again with the big numbers...

Not to derail the thread, but looking back, I really am kind of surprised that Born This Way fell as quickly as it did. It definitely had some half decent longevity (6 weeks at #1, right? That's nothing to sneeze at). It's a great, upbeat, catchy song, and this could be the pop music bubble speaking, but I feel like it has stayed pretty culturally relevant since then as far as typical hot songs go.

Unlike the 1989 singles, which did decently fine on Hot 100, the fact that this song is having such huge boost from the get go and will have on demand streams counting, I don't see this collapsing so badly like what I've been reading

Taylor's video begs for repeated viewing. Adele's not so much.

Damn, what's Katy's excuse She hit 30...in the pop world that's old Well Taylor is about to be 28 in a couple months and Rihanna will actually be 30 in February (omg) so I guess we can expect them to start slowing in success soon too. :(

Look at Madonna and Mariah, both were still getting huge hits into their 30s. If anyone has proven to be the exception in female pop stars this decade, its Rihanna. For Taylor, she's coming off of a massive era so I can see this album era being a success similar to BTW or Prism. It's after this era which will help show how long Taylor can last on top.

Both 1989 and Red were bigger than Prism so.... And that 30's argument is not relevant. I don't see Taylor slowing down anytime soon but then again, I didn't predict Katy tanking, I actually thought she would do well with this album but yeah, the songs are a let down...

What was the panel size for "All For You"? Can't recall the exact number but it was every pop, Rhy, and urban station reporting. I think the CHR panel was like 120???

It will happen, just wait. Taylor right now is the same as Gaga early 2011 and Katy late 2013...aka the biggest pop star on the planet with a massive lead single debuting. This is the ceiling point for any artist.
