Looks like it's already happening buddy :) Now we just have to see how big it can grow. Also, the like-dislike ratios are healthy and expected. Justin Beiber (a young white teenager who blew up online and arguably had sex appeal in his early career) and Nicki Minaj (a female rapper who is apologetically outside conservative standards of decency) also had very high like-dislike ratios early in their career. And look what they were able to achieve both commercially and artistically. I probably shouldn't be so overly optimistic about her career, but I do believe she has a lot of potential. She's still yet to collaborate with any of her established rapper friends (such as Kodak Black), which can substantially widen her audience. Unlike Jake Paul, she has the potential to appeal to a wide Hip-Hop audience, succeed on Urban radio, and make a hit that lasts many near the top of the streaming charts. She shows the ability to deliver a great hook (These Heaux, Hi Bich) and she shows the ability to deliver a killer verse (Roll In Peace Remix is fantastic if you haven't heard it already). Now she just has to deliver the hook and the verse in the same song, not just one or the other. One thing I dislike about her new songs is that they are incredibly brief. Only about 120 and 90 seconds. But putting two songs on the same YouTube video is actually a really good strategy, (assuming that Billboard counts the streams, which they should, since they've included 15 second vines and stuff). |

Sherane Lamar Sorry if I was rude to you. I actually like most of your posts. You can like her and go out of your way to explain why she should be a thing if you want to. Unfortunately, I just can't take her serious. She is making videos like Iggy and having a promising start when that one's career is completely over. The beat on "Hi bitch" is great though She should really be focused on getting a GED first imo

Huh. It's not there. Funny I was so sure about it this week and the week that she actually charted I wasn't that sure about it. Maybe next week? Or maybe Billboard just didn't count any of the YouTube streams? Maybe I'll check the bubbling under.

Lil Pump album just dropped with 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane and Yachty features. Probably expecting at least one or two debuts from him in the coming weeks. If A Boogie can debut 4 tracks, I feel like it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Pump to do the same. Should help Gucci Gang get a boost too. Gucci Gang is currently #6 on Spotify. The album is getting solid reviews as well. Pitchfork and Fantano to be specific. Haven't heard many Hip-Hop fans say anything bad about it, but of course there's always the same sniveling regressives who goaded Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Future, 2 Chainz, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, Kanye, Eminem, or anybody else who sticks out on their come up. Not saying he'll end up like them. Maybe he'll end up more like Soulja Boy or Rich Homie Quan, or Yachty, in terms of whether the culture respects him. I haven't even heard Pump outside of Gucci Gang, but that's just the vibes that I get from the discussion surrounding him. Just another rapper for purists to freak out about. |
