Bhad Babbie's chances of debuting on the Hot 100?

A lot of smoke surrounding Bhad Babbie on social media. #1 trending topic on YouTube. #1 viral song on Spotify. 

But is there fire? What are her chances to enter the Hot 100? 

I asked this a couple times on some of the threads about September 16, but I didn't get any answers, so I thought I would make a new thread about it.

The song is such a mess but I'll admit she looks good in the video, like she's feeling herself (which hit 7 million views already). The biggest issue is that she's only a 14th y/o girl who's acting like a 20th y/o woman. Now back to your question, yes, there is a chance Bhad Babie aka Danielle Bregoli makes it to the Hot 100.

The dude from HipHopDX made a video about female MCs and he said something along the lines of "I wouldn't be surprised if Bhad Babbie was the 4th female MC of this decade to hit the Top 20 without any assistance" (the other three being Nicki, Cardi, and Young MA).

Yeah, I think that regardless what you think of the song (personally, I think it's maybe a 6/10 if I'm being generous. Certainly not as good as Cardi), I think it's really amazing, and honestly a bit inspirational, that she's able to be so economically independent at a young age. There are obviously a ton of obstacles in the way of artists who are legal minors. And those that do make it big are usually somewhat groomed and controlled by studios and such. For her to have subverted all of that, using the internet, is pretty cool. 

Especially for somebody to go from an abusive home just 8 months ago to being on the Hot 100. That's pretty amazing.

They mean without features. And yeah, calling somebody an MC/rapper isn't the same thing as calling them a good MC/rapper.

Just to clarify your quote, I didn't say "she's only" as "she's nothing but", instead I noted that her age is "the biggest issue" that makes me concerned. It would've been the same for a very young Cardi or a very young Nicki. We'll see if she's willing to pursue a serious career, still I'd take not "being economically independent" at 14 everyday if it means being sentenced to five years of probation too (two counts of grand theft, possession of marijuana, and filing a false police report).

I wasn't aware of the probation. I would still take probation + million dollars + emancipation over having the life of the average 14 year old. Let alone being stuck in a violent home. 

Hell, being on probation isn't too different from being an emancipated minor. 

Regularly meeting with your probation officer at set times;

Appearing at any scheduled court appearances;

Paying fines or restitutions (monies to victims);

Avoiding certain people and places;

Not traveling out of state without the permission of your probation officer;

Obeying all laws, including minor laws such as jaywalking;

Refraining from illegal drug use or excessive alcohol use; and/or

Submitting to drug or alcohol testing.

S**t. That's not bad at all. Way better than I had it at that age. A hell of a lot better than my brothers are going to have it when they turn 14. 

Worst part of that if you're trying to be a legitimate artist is not being able to leave the state without probation officers permission. But I'm pretty sure tons of rappers in the past have had little problem touring while on probation.
