Not that I'll understand any of the hints, but yay!!! Btw: how do you know when it's about to go to a new page? Yay, fearless fearlessly helping me get to a new page!! You know based on the Reply # in the top left part of each post. Every page has 30 posts, and this page started with response #360. Which means the next page will start with response #390! Which should be THIS response!!! Edit: YAAASSSSSS I did my math correctly!

I didn't know it worked like that! I legit thought people were eyeballing it every single time someone was like "I'm waiting for a new page" or something like that

Greatest Hits? is that an option? I cannot remember but that is my guess based on what happened the month of the release of that album

Hmm I'm thinking 'Emotion' then. But I can't figure out what 'Set This Circus Down' has to do with it.

I'm going to go with my hunch based off the clues that its Wild Angels. I don't quite know what Tim's Set This Curcus Down is referencing in regards to Martina, but both of them are considered the class of 1994 (she and him did duet on "Angry All the Time" during a CMT special from back then so I don't know lol). I also assume the picture before that references the song "Independence Day."

Also another hint to help clear up the first 2 clues about the World Trade Center and the Tim McGraw cd... Think music videos!

It is Wild Angels.
The video for "Safe In The Arms of Love" is set in a circus. The video for "Wild Angels" I believe is maybe filmed in New York?? (I could be wrong here though) and lastly "Two More Bottles of Wine" is a cover from Emmylou Harris

Terrible timing too, because my friend and I are literally leaving to go to lunch right now... So the official announcement and tag list will come in a couple hours, but anyone who has been a part of this conversation or who happens to click on this thread in the meantime can start putting Wild Angels on repeat!!!

I was way off on the clues lol but at least my initial guess was right I'm excited for this one as I love, love "Safe in the Arms of Love." I missed out on participating in the Martina McBride rankdown, but was very surprised to see "Safe in the Arms of Love" barely come in at #20 (I easily would've ranked that song #1 or #2 on my list!).

This one will be interesting because I have no favourites from general Martina McBride rankdown. I'm really looking forward to discover more songs.

I'm pretty sure I already know what my #1 is...I'll need to go back and listen to this one all the way through again though to refresh my memory on some of these. There's only one song that I don't know at all and a small handful that I'm vaguely familiar with, but need to listen to some more. I'm excited for this one as well! :)

Wild Angels Wild Angels is Martina McBride's 3rd album. Released on September 26, 1995, the album made it to #17 on the Country Albums chart. Since then it has been certified Platinum. The album saw pretty strong commercial success on the charts, spawning 5 singles including the top 5 hit "Safe In The Arms Of Love" and Martina's very first #1 hit, "Wild Angels". Unfortunately the commercial legs kind of gave out after that, so the last 3 singles, "Phones Are Ringin' All Over Town", "Swingin' Doors", and "Cry On The Shoulder Of The Road" all failed to make it into the top 20. I have heard since then, however, that "Cry on the Shoulder" was on pace to become a really big hit, but Martina's new feature with Jim Brickman "Valentine" got released and cannibalized the airplay for her current single. She ended up putting "Valentine" on her next album, Evolution.
Evolution was the album that catalyzed Martina's transformation into a pop-country superstar, which means that its predecessor, Wild Angels, has a much more neo-traditional '90s country sound to it. Sorry born ! This album may sound like it's from the '90s, but it is basically delicious '90s perfection! The steel guitar and piano game is VERY real with this one! This album was every bit as hard for me to rank as Evolution was, because in my mind so many of these songs are among her best. I have always thought that this one is in the running for being her most consistent album. I look forward to seeing what y'all's thoughts are regarding this one!
The songs! 1. Wild Angels 2. Safe In The Arms Of Love 3. Phones Are Ringin' All Over Town 4. A Great Disguise 5. Swingin' Doors 6. All The Things We've Never Done 7. Two More Bottles Of Wine 8. Cry On The Shoulder Of The Road 9. You've Been Driving All The Time 10. Born To Give My Love To You 11. Beyond The Blue

Explanation of the hints:
#1 - Martina filmed the video for "Wild Angels" in New York city. For much of the video, she is standing on the top of a very tall building singing. As the camera pans around her, there are several instances where the World Trade center is featured prominently in the background. It gives me major chills every time I see it... Guys, this video was filmed only like 5 years before 9/11! How crazy is that???
#2 - The music video for "Safe In The Arms Of Love" takes place in a carnival/circus setting, which is how it relates to the circus tent on the cover of Tim's Set This Circus Down album.
#3 - One of the songs on this album, "Two More Bottles Of Wine", is an Emmylou Harris song that Martina covered.

Bonus reminder for me to do this before "reputation" comes out cause I'll probably have it on repeat for months.

This was tougher than I thought it would be. Fun Fact: this was my first Martina album. It's actually one of the first CDs I ever owned - I'm glad that the disc still worked when I was listening to it, lol.
As great as I think "Safe In The Arms Of Love" is, it will forever be marked for me because Michelle Wright released her version to radio in early 1995, and that's the version I always think of when I think of the song. As superior as Martina is in so many ways, to me it's always been Michelle's song.

That's probably partly why this was so hard for me to rank. These 11 songs hold SO MUCH nostalgic value for me...
