This was tougher than I thought it would be. Fun Fact: this was my first Martina album. It's actually one of the first CDs I ever owned - I'm glad that the disc still worked when I was listening to it, lol. As great as I think "Safe In The Arms Of Love" is, it will forever be marked for me because Michelle Wright released her version to radio in early 1995, and that's the version I always think of when I think of the song. As superior as Martina is in so many ways, to me it's always been Michelle's song. This was my first Martina cd too, and was actually THE first cd I ever bought!!!!! That's probably partly why this was so hard for me to rank. These 11 songs hold SO MUCH nostalgic value for me... I'd say it's within the first 10 CDs I've ever owned. It has a huge nostalgic value for me too man :) |

I like this album more and more everytime I listen to it. The first time I was listening to it I was like - okey this songs are just not as good as other Martina songs, 2nd time - Hmmm this song is going to be my #1.... oh and this one is good as well... yeah and what about this one...., 3rd time... wooow some of this song has the most incredible lyrics..., 6th time  |

I also own this album, but it's definitely been a while since I've listened to it; however, I do remember about half of the songs, so it shouldn't take me too long to do this one. I'll try to submit my ranks within the next few days.

My top 5 was so neck and neck that if I ranked the album tomorrow my list would probably be completely different. Surprised at how consistent the album tracks are - they really hold their own against the singles/"classics." :)

I submitted mine...and I literally swapped three songs around from my original list as I was submitting my list haha, but they were my three bottom songs. This one was a little more difficult than I was expecting. My top two were clear from the beginning, but I feel like I could rank 3-8 in a different order on any given day (and I guess my 9-11 as well since I changed those at the last second haha).

no idea. Maybe least will be "Beyond The Blue" because I can't see that ranking high above a lot of the songs on this album

"Swingin' Doors" easily. It will be Top 10 but I think it'll miss Top 5.

Bumping this to say: This rankdown has the smallest standard deviation variance I have ever seen! The smallest SD is only 1.96! The largest? 2.87... I'm waiting to see more predictions before I kick this off  But hopefully #11 can be posted tonight! |

Completely dropped the ball on this rankdown, but I'm definitely following along! I think "A Great Disguise" and "Wild Angels" would've been my #1 and #2. Oh and my predictions completely mirror castleoblivion26's. I love "Beyond the Blue" but I can't imagine anything other than that being #11. And I'm pulling for "A Great Disguise" to be the top album track. |

This song was the clear last-place contender for the entire time, only being pushed forward once early on. That song went on to finish at #9, while "Beyond The Blue" never managed to regain its footing. It received a trio of number 5 placements, two of them coming from our last 2 submissions ( BackwoodsBarbie and d3vin44 ), which did help close the gap between this and the #10 song, but it was not enough for this to make the pass. It also received 7 last-place rankings, which is the most of any song. Personally, I have always found this to be the one merely good song on an album that is otherwise flawless. I love the dobro, and it is definitely catchy, but it has always just felt like a fluffy song to me. Like everything else from this album could have been a hit if it had been released to radio, but this song was simply not good enough. Not to mention that super annoying background vocalist jam session that happens at the end of the song. What the hell do they even say??! I got so sick of that part, I downloaded Audacity for my laptop just so I could physically snip that part off of the version of this song that is in my iTunes....  {Songs Remaining}
