Coming in at #4, we have a heartbreak ballad featuring the one and only Keith Urban on background vocals! This song is amazing in the way it portrays the end of a relationship, when a couple is in denial that the end is coming, and yet is kinda starting to come around to it. The lyrics are raw and well-crafted, and Martina/Keith's harmonies really stand out and help the emotions of the song to be palpable.

This looked like an early top 5 contender that was then going to be gradually tanked for the rest of the submission process... But thanks to 3 consecutive #3 votes right at the end of the road from born , cerulean , and DistrictTwelve , this song was able to climb back into the top 5!

I think a lot of people will be surprised to see this song leaving here, because several of y'all guessed this would be the highest remaining album track, with a chance of winning! This was also the album track that won the album track portion of Martina's singles rankdown, hosted by castleoblivion26!

In reality, while this song was able to generate a ton of support, it was never even close to unseating the top 2. #2 is ahead by 16 points, which is pretty huge for an album rankdown. This song was never in any danger of losing the #3 spot though. You could say that the top 3 songs easily ran away with this rankdown!

The predictable yet rightful and correct winner! Love this song so, so much! My favorite Martina song, period.

In the end, the big hit of the era pulls off an extremely easy victory! Both "Anyway" and "Everybody Does" were #1 contenders. They both ran away at the top of the pack, and fought each other for #1 for the first half of the submission period, but ultimately the fact that literally half of the participants placed "Anyway" at #1 helped it to stay extremely low in points, securing the victory. I am SO happy with this top 2, as in my opinion both songs are perfect. "Everybody Does" has always been my pick for the most obvious followup single to "Anyway", and the fact that it finishes here seems to suggest that y'all agree.

Anyways the entire Top 4 is amazing (actually I love most of this album). Will never understand how "Everybody Does" was not a single and wish "House of A Thousand Dreams" had been one as well. Even "Tryin' To Find A Reason" should have been a single, especially with Keith Urban's participation and that is the reason it was included in the Martina Singles Rankdown I did last summer.

I was thinking maybe we can throw the Top 3 Album tracks from each album rankdown together in a single rankdown to see how they stand together. Or Top 2 or something. Just need more Martina rankdowns beyond the album rankdowns lol

Great winner! "Anyway" had to grow on me from when I first heard it, but I love it so much now and I think it's definitely among my favorite 2000s Martina songs now.

I was literally just thinking this same idea yesterday!!!!!!!! I was thinking top 3 or top 4 album tracks from each album, depending on which songs would be eliminated by not doing 4 I think that it would be SO interesting to see how some of her best loved album tracks perform against each other, without her biggest hits to dilute the pool and steal all the high votes.

For our next album rankdown, as decided by all of you, we will be ranking Martina's 2009 followup to our previous album rankdown, Waking Up Laughing! Shine is one of my favorite Martina albums, and I am definitely excited to see how this turns out

Shine is her 10th studio album, released on March 24, 2009. It was another one of her many albums to debut at #1 on the country album charts. The album, which was co-produced by Dann Huff, is a little more guitar-heavy than her previous efforts had been. From the opening guitar riff of the lead single, "Ride", you can tell that this album has a signature sound to it that is unique from anything she had done before it. In my opinion it really worked though, and I have always felt like this album could have had 5-6 hits if the singles had been managed correctly.
