This is really hard to predict. I'd say a slower song for sure and one of the lesser known songs too. "Help Me Make It Through The Night" and "Satin Sheets" are too big of hits originally for me to think they go out early. I'm gonna say "Dreaming My Dreams"?

"Rose Garden" (which you misspelled). Very likely in the top 3.
"You Ain't Woman Enough" was the 3rd single just an fyi. I think they didn't end up sending it to radio but I remember it was scheduled for adds.

This is quite possibly the most boring song Martina has ever recorded, in my opinion... I almost always skip this one, because despite being only 4 simple verses long, it plods on and on and on and on... It was really the only contender for last place in this rankdown, which made me very happy to see. Other than Kanenrá:ke 's questionable top 10 placement for this one, I don't think it's one that any of us will miss. With the lowest standard deviation, this is the most agreed-upon ranking of the entire rankdown.

Similarly to "Take These Chains From My Heart", I have always felt like this one plods along, and the musical arrangement does nothing to help make the song more engaging. This one at least has a better melody and stronger lyrics, which makes it slightly less boring.

This song is much better than the previous two, imo, but still one that was harder for me to put much higher (I only had it at #20...). There are ballads on this album that stand out much more, which kinda helps this one get lost in the shuffle. Plus I think its placement right at the end of the album doubled up with another slow song, "Help Me Make It Through The Night", really weakens this song. 1) Because HMMITTN is a better song, and 2) because they kinda blend together.

This song was never really at risk of missing the top 20 until cerulean tanked it towards the end, and it did not have enough time to recover (although it did tie with #20, but lost the tie!)

"Take These Chains From My Heart" has always been one of my favorite Hank Williams songs and I really enjoyed Martina's take on it. I'm not ashamed to be the highest ranker!

"Make The World Go Away" is such a great song but I found Martina's version to be a little dull compared to some of the classic versions. Especially with better songs on the album.

"Crying Time" I thought had a shot at the top half lol I don't get why it was tanked.

well talk about a disappointing start. How is "Love's Gonna Live Here" higher than these songs. Not too broken about "Take These Chains From My Heart" tbh but "Cryin' Time" is great, yeah it is slow but the emotion she puts into the vocals is great. As for "Make The World Go Away" I really don't know if I can forgive those low rankings. That is easily among my favorites from this album, I have always loved that one a lot.

Hopefully "Love's Gonna Live Here", "Satin Sheets", and "Walk On By" go soon.

I did under rank "Once A Day", and "Heartaches By The Number" also but if they go early I wouldn't be heartbroken to see them go as well.

Perfect ranking to kick off this rankdown (along with the host bboat11)! I agree that "Take These Chains From My Heart" just kind of trudges along and doesn't really go anywhere so not surprised to see it out first.

I admit I wasn't familiar with the original version of "Cryin' Time" nor was I all that enthused with Martina's version so seeing this leave second isn't surprising either.

Along with a few other members I am a bit disappointed to see "Make The World Go Away" leave so soon but I did have a hunch it might be in the bottom 5. I've always loved this song and although Ray Price originally recorded it I'm partial to Eddy Arnold's version.

This is by far the biggest disappointment of the rankdown so far, imo... The melody to this song stands out in such a singsongy way, which makes it so much more memorable than some of the other ballads on this album I feel like the melody is a much more "modern" one, if that makes any sense. Like, if Martina re-recorded this with a modern arrangement, I wouldn't even bat an eye hearing it amongst newer music.

This song tried to be a top 10 contender for awhile, but it seemed like for every high vote it got, somebody tried to tank it. castleoblivion26 loses his #2 here, which is what helped this one to win the tie breaker and land in the top 20.

For this reveal, the back half of the album finally gets some relief, as we shift our attention to the first half of the album. "I Can't Stop Loving You" was a really confusing song for me to try to rank. On the one hand, it has some vocal and melodic moments that truly stand out from the whole album, such as the "Time has stood still since we've been apart" line. But on the other hand it is the longest song on the album, and I find myself skipping it somewhat frequently just because it gets kinda old by the time it finally ends. I think the instrumental solo in the middle goes on for far too long. So I like this song and am glad it exists, but I seldom go out of my way to listen to it, if that makes any sense.

This song is pretty catchy, so I was a little surprised to see it have a somewhat polarizing reception. 3 top 5 losses is the most of any song we have seen thus far, but it also has 2 last-place votes too. Trajectory-wise, this one was very interesting to watch, as it started pretty low, only to start making a huge comeback. But then it started falling again... I think we would have needed a few more lists before this one finally settled into a position and stayed there.

We say goodbye to another bonus track here, and this time the top 2 loss comes from d3vin44! This song was also weird to watch, because it started out doing really well, only to be tanked and hold onto the #20 position for awhile. Our final submission, however, bumped it up 3 positions to #17. This song is really catchy and unique; the way the chorus kinda halts every time she says "Just walk on by" and then she sings "Wait on the corner" a little softer helps the song to be pretty memorable. Pair it with the low background vocals throughout the chorus, and this song has quite a bit of personality!

"Satin Sheets" bows out at #16, taking a top 5 from Kanenrá:ke with it. This is a song that for whatever reason I never really got into, and I can't put my finger on it. A couple years ago this would have been my last place; however it has been growing on me recently, which helped bump it up all the way to #17 on my list! Seriously, I have no idea what about this song bothered me, because I think it is quite good now... I'm still glad to see it leaving before the top 15 though.







I have no idea why this video is so quiet, but she sounds great...
