Fine with both Vowels and Reverend being on this list tbh. Vowels has awful lyrics. Reverend is just filler for radio and only became popular because it's by a popular band. There's absolutely NOTHING special about that track at all. I like both of them overall for what they are, but I can see why they're nominated.
Foo Fighters on the other hand...

I just remembered "Down" and was going to send it as part of my second pair but looks like someone beat me to it. I'm out of ideas, you guys have all of the worst ones covered (and even some good songs for some reason, no idea what "Blame" is doing here)
Looking forward to seeing the reveal
oooh yeah "Ringer" is another good one, forgot about that awful chorus.

(insert tongue emoji here) I nom-ed Foo Fighters - Run because to me it is one of their worst singles despite a usually solid discography. Same for Bastille - Blame, I usually like all their other singles but can't stand this one. Missio's album is very decent, "Middle Fingers" is not representative of the sound of the album. Imagine Dragons and Judah & the Lion are popular among alt radio listeners even if despised by active rock fans. |

To be fair even the alt posters hate Imagine Dragons and Judah and the Lion. Their songs are for the most part just not good. Vocally, lyrically and musically.

I'm hardly an Active Rock fan and I can't stand "Take It All Back". In fact, I'd say the sensibility of that song is much closer to your typical Active Rock fare than to what I like to hear on Alt - just substitute the downtuned guitars for a banjo.

Redbone is on this list after several posts about it, but Leo has to suggest another song. (he suggested a Christian song, but I do not recall it charting on the top 50 of any of the three rock airplay charts)
Also, do NOT use Hot Rock Songs as a reference. I gave you guys a list of songs to pick on the previous page, as well as the link to start your research on the Mediabase charts. Again, it must hit the top 50 on Alt, Active or AAA!

I don't blame (no pun intended) alexcuse for nominating "Run". I like it, but it's definitely one of their more polarizing songs, plus it makes me feel less bad about nominating their other polarizing entry here.  And I suppose it's a change of pace after seeing them dominate so many rankdowns. I have a harder time seeing why anyone would think "Blame" is worthy of a list like this, but there's no arguing with personal taste. I did just recently notice that "Hymn For The Weekend" is eligible, and thus am surprised it hasn't been nominated yet. Beyond that, I'd probably just nominate something like Breaking Benjamin in order to f**k with the Active fans. But I also wouldn't mind if we stopped at 60 songs. |

I probably would have found worse songs than the four that I nominated, but so many slow indie songs went for adds to Alternative, didn't chart well, and I don't remember how they sounded.

If WUTB gets nominated it'll become painfully clear that people are just throwing out songs they feel don't belong on the "rock" formats, that's a good song with not much to object to that got almost universal praise in the other subforums.
