I'm doing this 100% manually. Preference Revealer would take me days. I don't do the spreadsheet thing.
It's a slow go, for sure, but I *think* I have my top 25 solidified. Maybe. This is torture lol. LOVING the music. Not appreciating the ranking part lol.

I've been in the hospital most of the last 10 days so I probably wouldn't have seen them anyways. Try to get it done tonight. Oh my goodness!  I am so sorry to hear that, and I hope you are doing better now. You'll be in my thoughts! Just sent my list. I fell and got a major concussion. Seven staples later and finally got them out. |

Well, I *was* 40% done... and then my computer restarted and I can't recover the damn spreadsheet. Ugh. Hoping to knock this out.  Not gonna lie, this sucks! If it makes you feel any better, there was one time I was doing a year-end rankdown with 100 songs, spent HOURS upon HOURS with the Preference Revealer and when I got to 88%, my laptop....crashed. And I lost. EVERYTHING. So yeah. Good luck! |

Yeah at this point I pretty much never use the preference revealer. Organizing it manually in a Word document is how I do 95% of the rankdowns I participate in. (Although I did use the Preference Revealer for this George rankdown, interestingly enough! Since I know every song SUPER well and love almost all of them, it honestly helped me to differentiate between them and figure out what my true favorites were.)

Quite the rally on my part, but it's in!
The thing about George is we've been together for so long. Thirty years, to be exact. So there are some songs of his that I may rank lower than someone else because there are negative memories and emotions tied to them, and some are ranked higher because of super positive or happy emotions attached to them. So some of my responses may surprise people as we go through this. But he's my very favorite and there are only three songs here that I can truly say I don't care for, and only one that I hated upon release, and that's my #100, lol. So anyway, I'm babbling. But it's been absolutely lovely listening to him all night on Spotify. :)

I've ranked 10 songs but I'm already REALLY upset cuz I feel like I have underranked everything that isn't in my top 5, lol. And now I don't know where to go from here. Hardest. Rankdown. EVER!!!!!!!! And I thought Little Big Town's was bad... that was a piece of cake for me compared to this one. Like I said in my post above, my top 10 is relatively set in stone...the others change places according to my mood....Use today's mood, get it done and hope for the best! |

- I can't limit it to just one; I can see "I Cross My Heart", "Check Yes or No", "Give It Away", "Love Without End Amen", or "Carried Away" taking the cake. I really have no clue though.
2. What will be #100?
- "Murder on Music Row"...jk! I'm actually thinking "Shiftwork" could go first, but it may not be DOA, despite it being a Kenny Chesney song.
3. Which songs will be in the top 5?
- I really hope most of his 90s material can make it there; namely, "Carried Away", "Check Yes or No", "Blue Clear Sky", "Write This Down", "I Cross My Heart". Maybe "If I Know Me" and "Easy Come, Easy Go" can pull off a surprise?
4. Which songs will be in the bottom 5?
- "Shiftwork", one or two singles from Cold Beer Conversation, and "Twang". Can't think of anything else.
5. Which decade of George's music will be eliminated first? (80s, 90s, 00s, or 10s?)
- Most likely the 10s.
