Ew at this being out as well. Dolly sounds heavenly and the lyrics just such a gut punch.

"When I Get Where I'm Going" is one of the finest things Brad Paisley has ever released. Fantastic song. Adding Dolly Parton to anything always makes it better, too. <3

HOLY CRAP! How does anyone place "Want To" in the bottom half of this rankdown??? How does anyone put it below the top 20!? I thought it had a great chance at actually winning, because it is literally PERFECT! My absolute favorite Sugarland song. I love everything about it. DANGIT! Also shocked at Brad and Dolly's early exit from the top 10. Wow!

"When I Get Where I'm Going" just doesn't do it for me. I like the song, but it never reached a level of "I love this song". Dolly songs great on the song and Brad is awesome because he's Brad but this song just gets a bit dull at times.

"Give It Away" has grown on me so much from the time I first heard it. I wasn't too fond of the song when I first listened to it, so it ended up pretty low on my CMAs rankdowns list. It grew on me a bit by the time I submitted for the George Strait rankdown so I ended up putting it in my 30s for that one, and it's grown on me even more and now I love it so much, enough to put the song in my top 10 for this rankdown!

The only song i didn’t care for winning out of the remainder, so I’m excited.
Love me some George, but this song was just there in a year with so much great music.

I'm going to post #6 before ending for the day. I'll do the whole top 5 soon and that will be the final day of reveals.
Up at #6, two people lose a #1 and this song hit #1 on the chart...

Wow my top 10 is being decimated! I never cared for George enough to buy an album, BUT I have always LOVED "Give It Away". It's his absolute best song.
I've always had a soft spot for Josh Turner. My late Grandpa loved country music (he would record albums of himself at his home). He loved a male country singer with a deep voice and he was a retired railroad worker. Long Black Train had him HOOKED. This was fun because I absolutely loved Josh's voice as well. "Would You Go With Me" is my all time favorite song of Josh's. I was almost hoping it would sneak up and take this rankdown.

"Would You Go With Me" is absolutely gorgeous. The instrumentation is perfect, Josh Turner's voice is like always. It's between this song and "Why Don't We Just Dance" for my favorite Josh Turner song. I think Dierks will be the one to miss the top 5, although I can see "Jesus, Take the Wheel" being out here as well.

Damn, so close to an all-girl Top 5! Love JTTW and wish it would've been Dierks to leave instead. </3
Gonna guess this for the remainder of the reveals: 1. Before He Cheats (still think this one must've run away with it -- I'll be legit shocked if this didn't win) 2. Cheatin' 3. Leave the Pieces 4. Kerosene 5. Settle for a Slowdown

Every song I thought had a chance of beating "Before He Cheats" is out!
I think The Wreckers are too unknown to make it all the way. I don't think a man can win. Sara has an outside chance, maybe. I could maybe see Miranda sneaking in to nab it. I could see this flying under the radar with Carrie and Sara being tanked by a few rankers.
But lets be realistic... This is how I see it playing out.
5. Settle For A Slowdown, Dierks Bentley 4. Leave The Pieces, The Wreckers 3. Kerosene, Miranda Lambert 2. Cheatin', Sara Evans 1. Before He Cheats, Carrie Underwood
My Remaining Songs.... #3 #13 #14 #16 #20

Ugh, why does JTTW have any haters?! Such an incredible, perfect song. Definitely should have made it into the top 5 over Sara, Miranda, and Dierks. I’ll be upset if Wreckers/Carrie don’t win this! All 5 are great songs but those two are on another level, imo.

I think "Before He Cheats" will run away with this. 2-5 could be in any order, but I'm expecting Dierks to be out sooner rather than later, and Sara possibly being #2.

Okay so now I have a weird thought. I remember hearing that Sara Evans passed on "Jesus, Take The Wheel" before it got pitched to Carrie. Now I am sitting here wondering if it would have placed higher in this rankdown had Sara sang it... Lol don't get me wrong, I think Carrie was absolutely the right vocalist for the song, and I can barely even imagine Sara singing it! But when it comes to year-end country rankdowns, Sara has proven to be a pretty consistent top 5 contender as long as her song was a top 10 hit. And between the two women, Carrie is definitely more likely to receive lower rankings just because overplay killed the song for people, like what sabre14 said. With both women prone to being tanked just because some people don't like female artists, but with Carrie having the added factor of overplay, I feel like Sara would have had a slight advantage in this case. Of course Sara's version could have ended up being overplayed as well, it's impossible to say. But still, I am just curious if Sara would have managed to take JTTW into the top 5, even though I think Carrie did a better job with it than anybody else could have... Just some food for thought. Unfortunately, we will never know!

Ooh, I forgot:
5. The Wreckers - Leave the Pieces 4. Dierks Bentley - Settle for a Slowdown 3. Sara Evans - Cheatin' 2. Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats 1. Miranda Lambert - Kerosene
Making a far-fetched guess for this btw.
