I'm actually surprised on how well Wild Thoughts has held up, knowing that it's basically dead everywhere. I'm guessing the reason it's still hanging on is because of YouTube.
As for Look What You Made Me Do, I don't think it'll be out of the Top 20 next week, maybe like #17. Though I don't expect it to be around for very long, the album release and maybe some Year-End airplay should keep it around for at least 20 weeks, sales are still holding up. Even though streaming and radio are deader than disco lol.

Sorry Not Sorry doing so well on airplay, still top 10 on itunes and top 15 on Spotify. Looks like it has a shot for a top 5 peak if airplay continues to do well
Praying's airplay performance is quite impressive, didn't expect it to last this long
Havana's music video finally out, top 6 on Spotify, top 5 iTunes, airplay continues to rise. Looks like a top 10 placing this week?

21 Look What You Made Me Do 188 (-11) LOL! Couldn't have said it better myself. - Debuts at #77 with just three days of radio - Blasts up to #1 with THE biggest streaming and sales week of the entire year - Takes perhaps the most brutal drops in radio that we've seen in a long time - Lasts not even ten weeks in the Top 10 Goodness.

Considering its strong sales performance and "SOY" finally being done, I'm surprised "Perfect" isn't flying up radios faster.

To be fair if they pushed it any sooner it would've cannibalized Humble or Loyalty. I personally would've gone with Love second, but I don't think Loyalty was a bad choice instead, and they made the right decision in not pushing a third single until now.

"LOVE." is actually the fourth single from DAMN. though. "HUMBLE." is the first, "DNA." is the 2nd, and "LOYALTY." is the 3rd.

Ok but the annoying part is unless it returns to the hot 100 like right in the 11/11 chart or 11/18 chart it's not gonna be enough to make the year end list so maybe it would have been better to do it earlier. Better to cut Loyalty off at 24 weeks instead of 26 and get Love onto the year end list as well than to let Loyalty fall off naturally and have Love miss completely.

Do the labels care about the year end list? I've been following the charts since 1990 and even I don't really care about the year end list.

The year end lists are a fun read AT YEAR END but I don't think anyone obsesses over year-end positioning all year long like some people in these threads.
But no, I don't think label release strategies have anything to do with getting enough points for placement on the year end list

Does anyone have a list of most top 10 weeks in Radio Songs?
I feel like "Shape of You" easily obliterated the old record, which I think was held by Torn by Natalie Imbruglia but not 100% sure.

Yeah it's annoying, but if labels really cared, they would be waiting until the tracking year to begin to release songs. At the end of the day, they make money, whether the hit makes #3 on the year end, or #19 in one year and #45 in the next year. It'd be nice if we had point totals for songs just to get an idea of their relative success because when a song's points gets splits into two years, it becomes more difficult to gauge how big of a hit it is.

That is the weakest #2 I have ever seen. The entire top 5 is super weak, I wonder what's gonna come along and add some competition. I remember earlier in the year 27000 points wasn't even good for top 10 and Mask Off was at #6 with 35000 so it would be great if some songs like those would show up soon

Over the past 18 months, Bad And Boujee, Heathens, Cold Water had pretty weak points for a #2 as well.

This is a magazine year-end chart that does not actually end at the end of the year. Fun fact: The year does not actually begin on December 1, just because Billboard says it does. This goes for any product but products like music gets released and marketed differently during the holidays than they do at the first of the year. A lot of year-end and holiday shopping occurs in December. New-Year shopping is always a bit different. I don't see anybody (labels or otherwise) changing that so they can conform to a Billboard chart year.
