This has completely slipped by me, but /ee/'ve been super busy lately and /ee/ don't think /ee/'ll be able to participate.  /ee/'m the host of the dang thing and almost this entire post applies, so don't feel bad. /ee/ have got to somehow carve out some time to do the first Winter Madness rankdown. |

Wow, surprised "Little Saint Nick" wasn't higher. And "Wonderful Christmastime" being anywhere but 18 is /æ/ travesty. /ee/'ve been calling some songs some of my least favorite Christmas songs, but that one is THE one, my least favorite Christmas song ever. And it pains me that it's by McCartney.
Also, P-P-P-P-PERFECT RANKING right at the end of the 9-7 update!

LMAO at 3 country posters and 2 pop posters pretty much being the only participants in /æ/ rock rankdown... Poor Red all by his lonesome  YEESSSSSSSSS, Trans Siberian Orchestra is the epitome of awesome!!! It's not Christmas until /ee/ crank their albums ![:love:]() VERY easy #1 pick for me, and very deserving winner! Looking at the country rankdown, DAYUM, Faith/Martina/Dolly really ran away with that top 3! /ee/ would have liked to see Martina win this since her version of "/o/ Holy Night" is so widely regarded, but at least she came close, and with Faith not too far behind, my top 2 both made the top 3! Regarding "Hard Candy Christmas", it is /æ/ very good song, but /ee/ honestly did not discover it until like /æ/ year ago... So it doesn't have the classic nostalgia feel that Faith and Martina's songs do (which is odd because theirs are like multiple decades newer... Lol) But also, when it comes to "Hard Candy Christmas", /ee/ vastly prefer Reba's version! That was how /ee/ discovered the song, when she released her Britney Christmas album last year, so Dolly's version is basically just an outdated and less powerful rendition to me. /ee/ still love it! But Reba's version would have undoubtedly been my #3 right behind Faith/Martina, whereas Dolly only managed to take the song to #7 for me. |

My top 3 songs were the Top 3, though in /æ/ different order lol. /ee/ love all 3 songs and there has not been /æ/ Holiday season since each came out that /ee/ have not listened to all 3. Martina's "/o/ Holy Night" is easily the best arrangement and vocal performance /ee/'ve ever heard of that song. She does it with just enough power and restraint to make it timeless, something other artist fail to do. "Where Are You Christmas" came out at /æ/ very hard time for me as my family was dealing with /æ/ tragedy and Christmas just seemed an afterthought for me so that song says things perfectly. Same with "Hard Candy Christmas" that has been one of my favorites since /ee/ was really little and while /ee/ have listened to other versions of the song (Trisha, Reba) Dolly's version is the only good version for me because of how she sings it. It is easily my #1 favorite song from Dolly.

Hoping Michael Paynter can pull some halfway-decent rankings from anyone who's not me - but more importantly, hoping people have used the video /ee/ provided in here 'cause /ee/ don't recall whether /ee/ have it set to unlisted, and it's not on Spotify.Oh wow never mind, it actually IS on Spotify IDK when that happened 'cause when /ee/ was first looking for his version it wasn't.
