"Se Quiere, Se Mata" with a different production would improve so much for me, as I quite like the song itself.

Although "Se Quiere, Se Mata" wasn't in my Top 10, it's still a great song from her in my opinion. Actually, all of her singles from Pies Descalzos ended in my Top 20.
As a side note, I'm sure that when I listened to this for the first time, I wasn't aware that it was about a pregnancy in a young couple, which ends in an abortion, so when I found out that later, I was shocked that she wrote a song about that theme in the mid/late 90s when it was practically a taboo to do that.

How did the song with Lil Wayne escape the bottom 10?! I actually like it ('cause I like everything on the list, lol) and find it to be a total guilty pleasure but I'm surprised it's not out already, especially when we've already lost stuff like "Beautiful Liar" that I expected to do better.

#47 "Mi Verdad" Maná featuring Shakira Are you peeps fucking serious here? I'm taking a wild guess, you all don't like Mana'?
#46 "Try Everything" I agree this is rather forgettable.
#45 "Je L'aime A Mourir" Tanking Shakira for singing on French. Only on pulse rankdowns.
#44 "¿Dónde Estás Corazón?" This is one of her early songs, but not rreally one of my favs. Still better than half this list tho.
#43 "The One" Tanking some of these Guitar powerballads, makes me scared what you guys are gonna put in the top songs?
#42 "Beautiful Liar" Beyoncé & Shakira This I agree with. I have never cared for Beyonce.
#41 "Se Quiere, Se Mata" WTF????? This is one of her classics. I'm so disappointed here. The lyrics are classic storytelling. More FM; one of the most known rock stations in Mexico would play this all the time. The production of this song is perfect for what its supposed to be. There was no loudness wars going on yet. The harmonica in this song is gorgeous.

47. Mi Verdad (38): This was a typical Mana song, but I really liked how she sounded and complemented Fer's voice on this one. I could've ranked it higher, but in the end I pondered that this is more a Mana than a Shakira song. 46. Try Everything (35): This is a cute little enjoyable bop, but not too sad to see it go early 45. Je L'aime A Mourir (46): This is the other song (like Hay Amores) where I just don't believe her and feel she's a bit trying too hard. It's a well done cover but that's it. I knew this was a French original, but I also LOVE the DLG's salsa version of it... and I'm sure that Shakira took that into account when she performed this cover (... just like with Waka Waka). 44. Donde Estas Corazon (21): Hmmmmmm... ok, I sort of get it... to be honest when I first heard this as a follow-up to Estoy Aqui I thought this was a letdown, as it sounded cheesy and too try-hard Tropical. But pretty soon I came around to it and it became another personal chart-topper. It does have much more of a Latin tropical flavor, which in a way makes it the first time she did some sort of fusion in her music, something that were to become a trademark for Shakira. This was my second lowest ranked 90s song from her anyway, so I won't complain much about its ranking... 43. The One (34): I hadn't heard this one in quite a while. I do like her in this type of rock ballads, but this one is one of her weakest. Not a bad song though. 42. Beautiful Liar (40): I was so excited at the idea of this duet!! Just to be disappointed production was too forgettable... even the video version of the song was better. 41. Se Quiere Se Mata (31): This IS my lowest ranked 90s song from Shakira. I like it a lot, especially the harmonica, and the lyrics. I don't like how she sounds in the chorus "0oh, ooh"s and the pre-chorus--it's always sounded like she's flat/out of tune, so that made it lose points. Still a solid song (should've been higher!)

I overranked this by at least ten spots. The music video is flawless though. And revisiting my ranks, what did poor "Moscas en la Casa" and "No Creo" do to me? I underranked those two sooooo much. There’s only one single from Pies Descalzos that truly sucks but it’s not “Corazón” I hope you don't mean "Estoy Aqui"? Oh, gee! I SERIOUSLY hope that there is no more PD or DELL songs leaving in the near future!! Let's get rid of some lesser songs... I still have 5 of my bottom 10s alive and have lost two top 30s from PD >:(

Perro Fiel is HOT! I like the strings, the mix of reggaeton and Latin pop vibe that Shakira does here. Not a big fan of Nicky's voice, but overall a solid song that should've been higher... especially when there are other lesser songs from El Dorado still around (PF was my second highest ranked song from the past couple of years)

>:( >:( >:( OK, these last two reveals do suck! - Un Poco de Amor still is a bop and much better than a lot of songs still in this RD. And if we're talking about Spanish songs, let's get rid of Me Enamore, La Bicicleta and other similar stuff that is still around here. This was part of quite a strong, diverse, eclectic string of singles from her PD era. This one even doing a bit of Spanglish :) Sounds just as fresh as it did back in the day. - Moscas en la Casa is another good ballad from her, with tints of bolero that makes it the more enjoyable to me. I get it that this is a style not as easy to like, so I get its underperformance... (still, in terms of ballad, I'd rather play this than the bland/boring Gitana for example...) Hoping not to see more PD singles anymore. It'd be a travesty to have this album lose more singles than other albums (!!!)
