You have got to be kidding me. How is Pink Houses gone already? You won't be happy with the latest reveal... I knew that Quiet Riot wouldn't be all that popular here. That's part of the reason I ranked it at #1. Plus, you said it would be gone relatively soon.

"Pink Houses" is another song that was robbed. Quiet Riot and Deniece Williams deserved a little better too. On the other hand, "Magic" is not one of my favorite Cars songs, so I'm okay with its ranking.

Seriously??? I'm very shocked by this!!! This is one of my all time favorite 80s song! I'm also pretty disappointed with Hall and Oates and Dan Hartman.

In the bottom half, I lost two of my top 10, and six of my top 20, so I'm holding up reasonably well there, but I'm getting murdered from 21-50. I still have three of my bottom 10 left, and eight of my bottom 20. Four of the eight songs left in my bottom 20 are by two musicians who were bound to be ranked highly, but I'm not necessarily discriminating against them, because I've ranked a song by each of them in my top half, including one in my top 30.

"Vitamin L" - B.E. Taylor Group My parents were great friends with B.E. Taylor and helped him start the Christmas tours he did since the late 90s. Our family was devastated when he passed 2 summers ago.

These reveals started off on the right track and than became total shit. > 60. Hello - Lionel RichieNot bad for an R&B ballad. Probably my favorite Lionel Richie ballad type song. #59. Running With The Night - Lionel RichieNow this is a much better song. Why on Earth its right next the sappy ballad is beyond me? #58. Sad Songs (Say So Much) - Elton John "I'm Still Standing". That's my 80's Elton John song. #57. Adult Education - Hall & Oatespeople always call em Hall & Oates; when they always wanted to be known as Daryl Hall & John Oates, because the former sounds like a cereal brand. Not a fair slot for this song at all. Fitz and The Tantrums's biggest influence is Daryl Hall and John Oates; Blue Eyed soul style. #56. Twist Of Fate - Olivia Newton-Johncatchy tune, but if you wanna see me really upgrade Olivia; let's do Xanadu or Grease. #55. Pink Houses - John Cougar MellencampSurprised this rocker lasted this long? Great song. #54 Cum On Feel The Noize - Quiet Riot...and here it comes... BAM kick the balls number 2! What surprises me ; is that someone actually outranaked me here. I'm ashamed. I guess Metal Health will drive you mad. #53 . I Can Dream About You - Dan HartmanI always liked this song. For the longest time; I thought the band in the MV actually sang the song? :kii: #52 . Magic - The CarsWhat fucking shit is this that I just witnessed? Who are you people? Man is this rankdown all wrong.. #51 . Let's Hear It For The Boy - Deniece Williams
Here is a song that just seemed pretty corny to me. It's about time, It left the building.

60. Hello (38): What? This is a classic 80s ballad. Lionel really showcases his voice and emotion, and the music is simple but effective. Remember the video was played very often as well. Wish it had been higher... 59. Running With The Night (79): I do like this, especially the video, as this was a bit different from other singles from Lionel. Still, it was just not as much of a favorite as other songs this year. 58. Sad Songs (23): What??!!! This is one of my favorites from Elton in the 80s. Lush, elegant production, super flow, lovely melody. Personal chart-topper for a couple of weeks, and biggest disappointment so far. 57. Adult Education (55): Love several of DH&JO songs, and this was a solid effort. I particularly like the effervescence after the second chorus. 56. Twist Of Fate (50): I was a big fan of Olivia. As a little kid, I was a super fan of Grease :) and then I loved her pop singles, like Magic, A Little More Love, Xanadu, Physical. Even Heart Attack, The Rumour and Grease Megamix, just like ToF, were personal chart-toppers from her. I felt this was a really good pop song with an edge. 55. Pink Houses (74): I know, this is a good song and all, but just like with If This Is It, this is just a style that I'm just not that big a fan of. 54. Cum On Feel The Noise (31): Awesome rock song! A classic that kept rocking airwaves and parties till the end of the century. I remember the spooky visuals too :) 53. I Can Dream About You (76): I really like the chorus, but the verses are just a bit of a letdown. Not a bad song, but I just like others more. 52. Magic (58): Very strong song from The Cars. Hard to rank this one, and I could've ranked it a bit higher. 51. Let's Hear It For The Boy (48): This one makes me smile and sing along :) the video aired back home was based on the movie --I only saw the 'real' video for the first time this decade

I had a feeling I would do bad in this list, but I didn't expect it to be this bad.

More robbery: Scandal (indeed), The Police (call them!), Wang Chung, Springsteen, Pointer Sisters...

Wang should’ve been higher. Islands In The Stream did grow on me ever since Stranger Things.

Hmm, other than Peter Schilling and Sheila E., that wasn't actually a bad round. I'm honestly surprised that 2 of the 3 Pointer Sisters songs are gone already.

So I didn't submit for this, but I did make a top 63 list of the songs I was familiar with. And unfortunately for me, half of what would've been my top 20 (assuming none of the unfamiliar songs really impressed me) is already gone. On the positive side, four of my top 5 remain, and my bottom 3 (out of 63) is also out, but plenty of schlock still remains. Also, all but four of the songs I'm unfamiliar with are out, for whatever that's worth.
