See how things stand on the Top 20 after 48 hours.
Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s new powerhouse collaboration Rain On Me is leading this week’s Number 1 race, currently 7,000 chart sales ahead of reigning Number 1 Rockstar by DaBaby ft. Roddy Ricch.
The single - set to appear on Lady Gaga’s forthcoming album Chromatica (29 May) - is leading on both downloads and streaming numbers, and if it stays on course will be both Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s sixth UK Number 1.
YouTuber and rapper KSI could land three Top 20 songs in this week’s chart following the release of his debut studio album Dissimulation. Cap ft. Offset (3) is proving the most popular track from the collection so far, and will become his third Top 10 hit if it stays on track. Previous Top 10 single Houdini ft. Swarmz & Tion Wayne rebounds to 11 midweek and Killa Killa ft. Aiyana-lee is currently sitting at Number 13.
The final Official Chart Top 40 will be unveiled on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart with Scott Mills this Friday from 4pm, with the full Official Singles Chart Top 100 published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm.

Where should I expect any KSI songs to land? Is his album going #1? Looking likely the 1975 will take the number 1 album since they’ve got just over 28k all together whereas KSI is at 14k. KSI might close the gap but I doubt two days is enough for him to overtake.

Someone You Loved dropped out of the top 40 at #45, which is below Perfect at #43 this week:

Rain On Me goes straight to Number 1 with the biggest opening week of streams ever for a female collaboration.
Congratulations to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, who storm to Number 1 on this week’s Official Singles Chart with Rain On Me.
Notching up 70,000 chart sales to seize Number 1 from last week’s leader, DaBaby’s Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch, Rain On Me claims the biggest ever opening week streaming numbers by an all-female collaboration in the UK, with 8.1 million plays in seven days. It’s also Gaga’s first single to debut at Number 1.
Reacting to the news, Lady Gaga told OfficialCharts.com:
“If someone told me the day I wrote Rain on Me, a day I was crying water like misery, that this song would someday be Number 1, I never would have believed them. Thank you for celebrating this song. It’s my gift to you, to celebrate yourself. I hope the whole world is dancing. To all my UK monsters, I love you so much from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for making me Number 1, and I hope you feel Number 1 every time you listen to this song.”
Rain On Me is the second single from Gaga’s new album Chromatica, which is released today.
Both Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande now have six UK Number 1 singles each, joining the likes of Queen, Britney Spears and Rod Stewart. It’s also the first all-female collaboration to hit Number 1 in six years, since Ariana teamed up with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj on Bang Bang in 2014.
Elsewhere in the Top 5, Rover by S1mba ft. DTG climbs to a new peak, up one at Number 3. Other new Top 20 peaks this week come from Breaking Me by Topic ft. A7S (11), Flowers by Nathan Dawe ft. Jaykae (12), and 220 Kid & Gracey with Don’t Need Love (17).
KSI claims three Top 40 entries this week following the release of his debut studio album Dissimulation: Houdini ft. Swarmz & Tion Wayne rebounds eight places to Number 15, Cap ft. Offset at Number 24, and Killa Killa ft. Aiyana-Lee debuts at Number 27. Check out our interview with KSI, where he talks Dissimulation, battling The 1975 and being taken seriously.
More climbs come this week come from Secrets by Regard & Raye, up five to 25, Party Girl by 19-year-old US rapper StaySolidRocky rises six places to Number 28, and In Your Eyes by The Weeknd lifts 10 spots to Number 29 following a new remix featuring Doja Cat.
The 1975 see their latest single If You’re Too Shy (Let Me Know) return to the Top 40 at Number 33 following the release of their fourth studio album Notes On A Conditional Form.
Further down, Think About Things by Icelandic singer Daði Freyr, Iceland’s Eurovision entry for the cancelled 2020 contest and now a viral hit on TikTok, climbs nine place to enter the Top 40 at Number 34. Finally, Who’s That What’s That by 19-year-old UK newcomer Niko B (real name Tom Austin) debuts at Number 39.

KSI’s fans are being really aggressive towards The 1975. They really thought KSI had a chance to beat them when he didn’t even release physical copies until Tuesday.

^Yeah. Confirmed:
31 May 2020 By Rob Copsey
The star is set to land three entries in the Top 40 with tracks from her new album.
Lady Gaga is on course to land three entries on this week’s Official Singles Chart Top 40 following the release of her new album Chromatica.
Gaga's current Number 1, Rain On Me ft. Ariana Grande, is holding at the top with a narrow lead over DaBaby’s Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch (2).
Meanwhile, album track Sour Candy ft. Blackpink starts at Number 12, and Alice is at Number 21. The entries could take Gaga's total of UK Top 40 singles to 26.
Elsewhere, Breaking Me by German producer Topic and Swedish singer A7S is set to enter this week’s Top 10, currently up five places to Number 6. The dance track has steadily been climbing up the Top 100 since mid-April.
New Tion Wayne, Dutchavelli and Stormzy collaboration I Dunno is set to be this week’s highest new entry, currently at Number 11.
Finally, two songs are set to climb into this week’s Top 20: Harry Styles’ Watermelon Sugar is up four places to 17, and Regard and Raye’s Secrets jumps seven spots to 18.
The final Official Chart Top 40 will be unveiled on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart with Scott Mills this Friday from 4pm, with the full Official Singles Chart Top 100 published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm

Plus, Lady Gaga lands three Top 40 hits following the release of Chromatica.
DaBaby returns to the Number 1 throne on the Official Singles Chart with Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch, which racks up its biggest weekly streaming numbers yet.
Topping over 64,000 chart sales including 8 million streams, it’s a triumphant return to the top for the US rappers. It’s the song’s third week at Number 1, after being knocked off last week by Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande’s Rain On Me, which drops to 2.
Two more Gaga songs from her latest album Chromatica - which debuted at Number 1 this week - land in the Top 40: Sour Candy, a collaboration with K-pop band Blackpink debuts at Number 17, and Alice enters at Number 29.
Topic and A7S jump six places to Number 5 with Breaking Me, both artists’ first Top 10 hit. The song surged in popularity thanks to TikTok earlier this year, and has enjoyed a meteoric rise up the Top 100 over the last seven weeks.

Chromatica is right away the 29th most popular album of the year in the UK. Could go top 20 already this week.

Glad the 1975 got a second week in the top 10. I don’t mind where the album goes from here, but I’m glad it held up alright.

I can't @ Fleetwood Mac collection from 2018 being more successful than After Hours.
Their chart rules favour GHs though.

Nathan Dawe & Jaykae and Regard & Raye are heading for new peaks this week.
After replacing each other at Number 1 over the last fortnight, DaBaby & Roddy Ricch and Lady Gaga & Ariana Grande continue their battle for chart supremacy this week.
DaBaby and Roddy's Rockstar is currently on course for a fourth non-consecutive week at the top of the Official Singles Chart and is the most streamed song of the week so far. However, Rain On Me by Gaga & Ariana has racked up the most downloads in the first two days of the chart week, keeping them firmly in the race.
The Official Chart: First Look airs on BBC Radio 1 each Sunday between 6pm – 7pm and offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.
Dance tracks Flowers by rising producer Nathan Dawe and rapper Jaykae, and Secrets by Kosovan DJ Regard and British singer-songwriter Raye could reach new peaks this week, currently at Numbers 11 and 15 respectively.
Viral TikTok track Party Girl by StaySolidRocky could enter the Top 20 for the first time this Friday and has risen four places to Number 20 at the halfway mark.
The Official Singles Chart is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Listen to the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills every Friday from 4pm.
