^Probably. Tomorrow's First Look article should give us a better idea of what songs should fall victim to ACR next week.

ACR + debuts + remixes = top 20 shakeup
03 May 2020
By Rob Copsey
It looks like it will be a big week for Drake on this week’s Official Singles Chart: he’s set to land three spots in the Top 10 following the release of his Dark Lane Demo Tapes album.
Current single Toosie Slide jumps from 4 to 2, Chicago Freestyle ft. Giveon is new at 7, and Not You Too ft. Chris Brown opens at 9. View Drake's full Official Chart history so far here.
Meanwhile, BBC Radio 1’s Stay Home Live Lounge Allstars narrowly hold the lead at Number 1 with Times Like These, less than 200 chart sales ahead of Toosie Slide.
A new remix of Doja Cat’s Say So featuring Nicki Minaj could send the track to a new peak this week, up seven places to Number 3. Say So has already proven a runaway hit this year, already spending nine weeks inside the Top 10.
Similarly, a new version of Megan Thee Stallion’s Savage featuring Beyoncé is sending the song up the chart, currently up 18 places to Number 4.
AJ Tracey could be securing his fourth Top 10 with new single Dinner Guest ft. Mostack, currently at Number 10.
Finally, Amanda Holden is set to make her Official Chart debut this week with her rendition of classic hit Over The Rainbow, currently placed at Number 14. The TV star and Britain’s Got Talent judge is releasing the song to raise money for the NHS.
The final Official Chart Top 40 will be unveiled on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart with Scott Mills this Friday from 4pm, with the full Official Singles Chart Top 100 published on OfficialCharts.com from 5.45pm.

Why don’t the UK charts add remix credit?

Toosie Slide is #1 in the midweeks today. I was hoping it'd remain at a #2 peak

They should really get rid of that ACR rule. Nice experiment, but it just doesn't work.

It's the third time that Drake's claimed the feat across separate releases in his career.
Congratulations to Drake, who scores the Official Chart double this week as his Dark Lane Demo Tapes mixtape and song Toosie Slide claim Number 1 on the Official Albums and Singles Charts.
The entries earn the Canadian rapper his third UK Number 1 album and sixth chart-topping single. Dark Lane Demo Tapes scored 20,000 chart sales to secure the top spot, 95% of which came from streams, while Toosie Slide racked up 49,000 chart sales.
Drake is the third artist to pull off the chart double in 2020, following Stormzy’s Heavy Is The Head album / Own It single and Eminem’s Music To Be Murdered By album / Godzilla single, both in January.
However, Drake has achieved the rare feat of landing the double for a third time across separate releases in his career, after his album Views / One Dance single both held Number 1 in the same week in May 2016 and album Scorpion / In My Feelings single in July 2019.
Elsewhere on this week’s Official Albums Chart, The Strokes are back in the Top 5 with The New Abnormal, rocketing 82 places to Number 4 following its release on vinyl – this week’s best-seller on the format. The band’s sixth album debuted at Number 3 last month.
London rapper Yxng Bane lands his highest charting album yet with Quarantime: The Lost Files debuting at Number 11, just ahead of Scottish indie band Tide Lines who enter at Number 12 with sophomore album Eye of the Storm, their first Top 20.
Further down, Niall Horan’s former Number 1 Heartbreak Weather flies 32 places back into the Top 40 at Number 31 following its release on vinyl, and finally, My Turn by US rapper Lil Baby returns to the chart at Number 32 thanks to a deluxe edition of the collection featuring six additional songs.
As well as claiming the Number 1 with Toosie Slide, which lifts from 4 to 1, Drake lands two new entries in this week’s Top 20. Chicago Freestyle ft. Giveon lands at Number 10, and Pain 1993 ft. Playboi Carti enters at Number 17. The entries take Drake’s total of UK Top 40 hits to 51.
There’s lots of movement in this week’s Top 10: Doja Cat’s Say So zooms eight places to a new peak at Number 2 following the release of new remix of the song featuring Nicki Minaj, and Savage by US rapper Megan Thee Stallion vaults 19 spots to Number 3 after a new version featuring Beyoncé was released last week. The climb earns Megan her first UK Top 10.
DaBaby’s Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch leaps 21 places to enter the Top 10 at Number 6, TikTok smash Rover by S1mba ft. DTG hops five places to Number 7, and AJ Tracey’s Dinner Guest ft. Mostack debuts at Number 8 – this week’s highest new entry.
Further down, there are big climbs this week for If The World Was Ending by JP Saxe ft. Julia Michaels, up nine to 16; This City by Australian singer-songwriter Sam Fischer is up seven places to 24; Don’t Need Love by 220 Kid & Gracey lifts ten spots to 28; Kings & Queens by Ava Max jumps six places to 33.

It would be the third charity single at #1 in the last four weeks:
10 May 2020 By Jack White
The collaboration could mark Ariana's 6th and Justin's 8th UK Number 1.
Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber are leading the Official Chart: First Look with their new single Stuck With U.
The collaboration is raising money for the First Responders Children's Foundation, a charity that will fund scholarships of children of frontline workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Should the pair hold on their momentum, Stuck With U will mark Ariana’s sixth UK Number 1 single, and Justin Bieber’s eighth. Stuck With U currently has the edge over Drake’s Toosie Slide at 2 by 2,500 chart sales.
The Official Chart: First Look airs on BBC Radio 1 each Sunday between 6pm – 7pm and offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.
Dame Vera Lynn is on course to become the oldest living person to score a UK Top 40 single this week with her classic track We’ll Meet Again. Currently at Number 6, the 103-year-old’s signature song has claimed the most downloads since Friday and has been streamed over 500,000 times in the last two days following 75th anniversary VE Day celebrations. Click here for more on Vera's success this weekend.
Ohioan rapper DaBaby is set for a new peak this week with Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch, up one to Number 5. The song has also reached the Top 10 in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland where it is currently Number 2.
Finally, following the release of the official music video, Break Up Song by Little Mix is up four places to Number 14.
The Official Singles Chart is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Listen to the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills every Friday from 4pm.

According to the Official Singles Chart update released today, both Someone You Loved and Perfect could be returning to the top 40 this week. I can see Perfect as somewhat of a Mother's Day anthem. Also, Rockstar is #4 and Gooba is #9 according to the update.

So, Blinding Lights is #1 on iTunes again, #2 on Apple, #3 on YouTube and #2 on Spotify...and still #5 overall. I hate that rule.

In one of the biggest (and most welcomed by me) surprises this year and mostly good news:
15 May 2020 By Helen Ainsley
Rising US rap star Dababy secures his first Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch.
Rockstar climbs five places to reach the summit, knocking Drake’s Toosie Slide to Number 2. The song’s rise can be attributed in part to the addition of fellow rising star Roddy Ricch to the track, plus a viral dance challenge on TikTok.
Dababy’s other recent Top 20 successes came in the form of a feature on Camila Cabello’s Number 13 hit My Oh My, while the album featuring Rockstar, Blame it on Baby, debuted at Number 8 in April.
Meanwhile, Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber claim this week’s highest new entry with their duet Stuck With U (4), a charity single with proceeds going to First Responders Children’s Foundation to fund scholarships for children of frontline workers fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rapper 6ix9ine claims a Top 10 debut with Gooba at 6, while If The World Was Ending by JP Saxe ft. Julia Michaels continues to climb, reaching a new peak at Number 14.
Further down, rising singer-songwriter Sam Fischer climbs four to land his first Top 20 single with This City (20), 220 Kid & Gracey jump six to Number 22 with sad-banger Don’t Need Love, and German DJ Topic earns his first Top 40 as Breaking Me ft. A7S leaps 26 places to Number 24. Ava Max’s Kings & Queens rises four to Number 29 as the Jonas Brothers rebound nine to Number 35 with What a Man Gotta Do.
Finally, Marshmello & Halsey collaboration Be Kind is up five to Number 40, becoming the artists’ sixth and tenth Top 40 singles respectively.

Future Nostalgia returns to #1 and breaks a record - it sold/streamed 7,300 units... a new record low for a #1 album.

7 songs in top 10 are rap plus 2 urban and 8 songs have artists from US and Canada. Only 2 British songs are also rap. So I guess British music is basically dead... This is even worse than that virus...

This is even worse than that virus... I wouldn't say that, I just figure that other than Dua, no major UK act has been releasing lately... There'll always be at least 5 UK albums on the top10 with Dua, Lewis, Harry, Ed and Elton..so there's that.

A more quiet first look:
17 May 2020 By Lauren Kreisler
Plus slow burners from Powfu, Beabadoobee, JP Saxe and Julia Michaels continue their Official Chart ascent.
DaBaby and Roddy Ricch look set for a second week at Number 1 with Rockstar as the viral hit maintains its clutch at the top of the Official Chart.
Katy Perry is back with the lead single from her fifth album and heading for this week's highest new entry. Daisies starts its journey at Number 20 after 48 hours, it will be the singer and mum-to-be's 28th UK Top 40 hit. See where all Katy Perry's singles and albums charted.
Lo-fi hip-hop track Deathbed is on course for a new peak position. The Tik Tok viral hit from Canadian musician Powfu featuring Filipino-British indie singer-songwriter Beabadoobee has steadily ascended the Official Chart over the past 13 weeks, entering the Top 10 for the first time six weeks ago. Previously peaking at Number 4, Deathbed is set to jump three places to Number 2 on Friday.
Another four-place climb is on the cards for slow-burner ‘If The World Was Ending’ - the Finneas-produced JP Saxe and Julia Michaels collaboration. The song first entered the Top 100 some 20 weeks ago, and today’s early midweek numbers indicate it will crack the UK Top 10 this week, currently riding at Number 10.
The Official Chart Top 40 will be unveiled on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart with Scott Mills this Friday from 4pm, with the full Official Singles Chart Top 100 published here from 5.45pm.

will it hold up in the top25? top20 seems very unlikely.
Gooba seems poised to be a frontloaded mess.

The viral hit takes its biggest week of sales so far, while newcomer S1mba climbs to the Top 5.
DaBaby’s Rockstar ft. Roddy Ricch continues to shine atop the Official Singles Chart, enjoying its strongest week of streams and sales yet.
With 57,000 chart sales, including 7 million streams, the viral hit comfortably holds on to its place at Number 1, seeing off competition from Doja Cat’s Say So (2) and Drake’s former Number 1 Toosie Slide (3).
Meanwhile, Rover by rising UK acts S1mba ft. DTG climbs four places to Number 4, earning each of them their first Top 5 hit.
Nathan Dawe’s Flowers ft. Jaykae edges ever closer to the Top 10, rising four to Number 13 for its ninth week in the Top 40, as Breaking Me by Topic ft. A7S jumps nine places to Number 15, their first Top 20 single. Newcomers 220 Kid & Gracey also land their first Top 20 song with Don’t Need Love, up two to Number 20.
Doja Cat’s Boss Bitch rebounds seven spots to a new peak of 24, just ahead of Ava Max’s latest release Kings & Queens at Number 25, up four places. British rappers Young T & Bugsey also rebound with Don’t Rush ft. Headie One, up five to 27.
Big climbs into the Top 40 this week come from Regard & Raye’s collaboration Secrets, leaping 13 places to Number 30 to become Regard’s second Top 40 and Raye’s sixth, and StaySolidRocky’s viral hit Party Girl rockets 19 places to 34.
Harry Styles fan favourite Watermelon Sugar returns to the Top 40 following its official single release (and that music video), new at Number 35, and finally, Katy Perry claims her 28th Top 40 hit with Daisies, the week’s highest new entry at Number 37.

Lewis Capaldi's debut album hasn't left the Official Albums Chart Top 10 since its release.
Lewis Capaldi celebrates the first anniversary of his debut album in style as Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent returns to Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart.
The Scotsman’s debut collection scores a tenth non-consecutive week at the summit, while the record has yet to exit the Top 10 since its release this time last year – only dipping as low as Number 7 in November 2019.
More of Lewis’ incredible chart feats so far include:
- The UK’s Official biggest album and single (Someone You Loved) of 2019. - Currently the UK’s Official biggest album of 2020. - Divinely… is one of only 20 albums in UK chart history that have logged 52 consecutive weeks (one year) or more in the Official Albums Chart Top 10.

- The album is BRIT Certified 3x Platinum for chart sales over 900,000. - The album has spawned five Top 10 singles, including 2 Number 1s. - Someone You Loved has spent more weeks in the Top 10 than any song ever by a British act.
Meanwhile, six new releases feature in this week’s Official Albums Chart Top 40, led by US rapper Future, who scores a new personal best at with his eighth album High Off Life at Number 5. Close behind is Chicago rapper/singer Polo G, who takes out his first UK albums chart appearance with The Goat at Number 6.
Rounding off this week’s Top 10 are British punk duo Sleaford Mods, who enter at Number 10 with their retrospective All That Glue. It’s the fourth Top 40 and second Top 10 album from the band, who discussed the collection and their success so far on the latest episode of The Record Club, our new livestream series in association with Record Store Day and National Album Day. All That Glue is this week’s best-seller on vinyl.
Further down, Americana group Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit land at Number 18 with their seventh studio album Reunions, and gothic metal band Paradise Lost secure their first UK Top 40 album since June 1995, entering at Number 32 with Obsidian.
Finally, Charli XCX’s new album How I’m Feeling Now – recorded entirely at her home in lockdown – is new at Number 33, earning the star her third Top 40 collection.
