Easy On Me now equals Someone Like You as Adele's longest-running UK Number 1. Plus new entries from Taylor Swift and Little Mix and new peaks for Sam Fender and SwitchOTR.
As Adele’s highly anticipated new album 30 drops today, the star triumphs once again on the Official Singles Chart, landing a fifth consecutive week at Number 1 with Easy On Me.
Easy On Me now ties with Someone Like You for Adele’s longest-running Number 1 on the Official Chart. With over 67,000 chart sales and 7.6 million streams, it wins another hotly-contested chart battle with Ed Sheeran’s Shivers, which holds at Number 2.
The highest new entry this week comes courtesy of Taylor Swift with All Too Well (10 Minute Version) at Number 3, her 18th Top 10 single. Two more tracks from Red (Taylor’s Version) also make big debuts on the Official Singles Chart this week; State of Grace (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) enter at Numbers 18 and 22 respectively.
Two British artists gain their first-ever UK Top 10 singles today. Sam Fender’s Seventeen Going Under jumps thirteen places to a new peak of Number 9, while SwitchOTR’s Coming For You ft. A1 x J1 rises four to Number 10. It’s also A1 x J1’s second UK Top 10, following breakout smash Latest Trends earlier this year.
Outside the Top 10, Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars vault up to Number 12 with Silk Sonic’s Smokin’ Out The Window following the release of their debut album An Evening With. The duo's debut single Leave The Door Open is a re-entry this week at Number 31.
Acraze and Cherish reach a new peak of Number 24 with Do It To It, finishing ahead of Juice Wrld’s new posthumous single Already Dead at Number 25.
Little Mix land their 32nd UK Top 40 hit with the sassy No at Number 35, and finally, Nashville teenage pop prodigy Gayle debuts at Number 40 with ABCDEFU.

Little Mix ended up being way too frontloaded. The single barely makes top 40 and the album is at #4.
Overall decent for a GH album but the song deserves better.

Yikes at Bruno debuting #9 even behind a Greatest Hits by The Wanted. Nobody is noticing he’s become so local these days.
Even “Leave the Door Open” only peaked at #9 in Canada now that I’m checking. Usually Canada/US are almost identical and any #1 in US is a top 5 in Canada.

Silk Sonic is just not a genre that's popular outside the US, at least not in 2021.
Little Mix debuted with 34k, which would've been enough to be #1 if it was released earlier in the year. I mean, that's more than what Elton John opened with. It's also the highest #4 album sale since Christmas 2018.

Silk Sonic has always been a mostly US focused thing since the start. And they kinda threw the album out there and that was it. Maybe if Skate had actually connected...

Usually Canada/US are almost identical and any #1 in US is a top 5 in Canada. Another place where Silk Sonic seems to have pretty decently this week is Australia, where their album debuted at #4 and Smokin Out the Window rose 34-8 at the Singles chart, marking a new high for them there.
But I do agree there is a US-centric element to their success. Last week Smokin Out the Window was #12 on the Global 200 while only #27 in the Global 200 excl US.

Three tracks from 30 are vying with each other for the top spot. Plus new entries from Anne-Marie & Niall Horan and D-Block Europe feat. Central Cee.
Adele is currently in a three-way battle with herself for Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart. Following the blockbuster release of her fourth album 30 on Friday, a trio of tracks from the record are currently taking up all three top spots of the chart.
As it stands, current chart-topper Easy On Me is on track for a sixth-consecutive week at Number 1. It would become her longest-running Number 1 single in the UK, overtaking Someone Like You.
Although Easy On Me has tough competition to secure its place at the top. Two of the most popular album tracks from 30 are currently in second and third place for the battle; with Oh My God at Number 3 and My Little Love (an ode to Adele's son Angelo) at Number 3.
Niall Horan and Anne-Marie’s official Children in Need 2021 single Everywhere, a cover of the classic Fleetwood Mac song, could also be another new entry in the Top 10, currently at Number 6. A final new entry in the Top 10 on Friday could be courtesy of British hip-hop collective D-Block Europe with new single Overseas featuring Central Cee at Number 10.
Outside the Top 10, Scottish DJ Ewan McVicar could reach a new peak with his single Tell Me Something Good, which is track to jump up to Number 14, which would be a career-best. US DJ Acraze is also eyeing up a new peak too - his single Do It To It with girl group Cherish could bounce eight places to break into the Top 20 for the first time at Number 16.
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

Can 30 triumph over ABBA's Voyage to become the fastest-selling album of the year? Also further new entries from Oasis, Robert Plant & Alison Kraus and Elbow.
Adele’s 30 has made a massive first impact on the Official Albums Chart - currently outperforming the rest of the Top 40 combined on its journey towards Number 1.
As it currently stands at the midweek mark, 30 has logged 167,000 chart sales. The superstar’s fourth studio album has its sights set on the biggest opening week of 2021 so far, currently held by ABBA’s Voyage with first-week chart sales of 204,000.
The release of 30 is also impacting on the Official Singles Chart, with three tracks from the album vying for Number 1.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, Oasis’ live recording of their historic Knebworth 1996 gig looks set for a Number 2 debut. The band’s greatest hits Time Flies 1994-2009 also gets a boost, currently up six to Number 39. Rock icon Robert Plant and bluegrass singer-songwriter Alison Kraus also eye up a new entry at Number 3 with Raise The Roof, their second collaborative album.
At Number 6, Elbow could be another new entry with Flying Dream 1, which could net the band their eighth UK Top 10 album. Further possible new entries in this week’s Top 10 include James Blunt, currently at Number 7 with greatest hits collection The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021). The musician will discuss the album on this week’s episode of The Record Club in association with Bowers & Wilkins, our livestream series with Record Store Day and National Album Day.
Meanwhile, Bruce Springsteen’s live album The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts is at Number 8, and rap collective D-Block Europe start at Number 9 with their new mixtape Home Alone 2.
Outside the Top 10, glam rockers The Darkness eye up a Number 11 debut with Motorheart, while Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra join forces for Happy Together which is currently pacing to enter at Number 13. Sting could also gain his 21st Top 40 album in the UK with The Bridge at Number 16, while the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s classical take on Motown - A Symphony of Soul could debut at Number 17, their highest-charting collection as a solo entity since 2004.
And it looks like Christmas is well and truly coming to the Official Albums Chart - heralded by the re-entry of Michael Buble’s classic Christmas covers album, currently up 38 places to Number 18 following a 10th anniversary reissue, while Jamie Cullum’s The Pianoman at Christmas could be a re-entry at Number 34 following a deluxe edition release.
US duo TwentyOne Pilots’ third record Scaled and Icy could re-enter the chart this week at Number 21 thanks to its vinyl release - it previously peaked at Number 3 earlier this year. And finally, U2’s ninth record Achtung Baby is also looking to re-enter the chart thanks to its 30th anniversary boxset release. Currently at Number 31, it originally peaked at Number 2 in 1991.
The Official Albums Chart is revealed every Friday at 5.45pm on OfficialCharts.com and on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart with Scott Mills from 4pm.

Adele's 30 continues to power towards the Number 1 spot on the Official UK Albums Chart.
Adele's new album 30 continues to power towards the Number 1 spot on this week's Official UK Albums Chart, and already claims the UK's biggest opening week of 2021 so far.
In today's sales flash (November 24), 30 logs 219,000 chart sales so far this week, overtaking ABBA's comeback album Voyage, which opened with 204,000 chart sales earlier this month.
It's also the highest opening week for a female artist album since Adele's last album 25 in November 2015.
It looks like Adele could land the Official Chart double this week as popular album album track Oh My God is competing with her current Number 1 Easy On Me on the Official Singles Chart. Another song, I Drink Wine, is inside the Top 5.
While 30 is all but certain to net Adele her fourth consecutive on the Official Albums Chart, lots more new releases are eyeing up Top 10 debuts this week, including Oasis' Knebworth 1996, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss' Raise The Roof, Elbow's Flying Dream 1, and James Blunt's The Starts Beneath My Feet (2004 - 2021).
This week's Number 1 album will be revealed on Friday, November 26 on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills from 4pm. A deep dive into Adele's first week numbers, plus the full Top 100, will be revealed on OfficialCharts.com at 5.45pm.

Mmm, I thought it was trending towards 300k, but probably won't get quite there. I failed to take into consideration that pre-orders get shipped on day 1 so it was always gonna be frontloaded.

Netting the fastest-selling album of the year so far, Adele also reigns supreme on the Official Singles Chart for a sixth week with Easy On Me.
Adele reigns supreme this week on the Official Chart as 30 making a record-breaking debut at Number 1.
With first-week chart sales totalling 261,000, 30 scores the biggest opening week of 2021 so far, overtaking ABBA’s Voyage (204,000). It’s also the biggest first-week for an album since Ed Sheeran’s Divide in 2017, as well as the biggest opener for a female solo album since Adele’s last album, 25, in 2015.
30 comes out on top with 67% physical sales and is this week’s biggest seller on vinyl, with 16,700 copies sold on wax. 30 is also the most-streamed album of the week with a staggering 55.7 million plays across its 12 tracks.
It becomes Adele’s fourth UK Number 1 album; she has now reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with all of her studio albums, a record for a female act. All of Adele’s previous albums are also present in the chart this week; 25 (Number 15), 21 (Number 18) and 19 (Number 31).
Adele also lands the rare Official Chart Double as Easy On Me claims a sixth consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart. The track is now Adele's longest-running Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart, outstripping Someone Like You (5 weeks).
The singer spent the week in a three-way chart battle with herself. Nevertheless, with over 101,000 chart sales and 11.5 million streams, Easy On Me beat out two other tracks from 30, Oh My God, which claims the week’s highest new entry at Number 2, and I Drink Wine, which finds itself at Number 4.
Elsewhere on this week’s Official Albums Chart, Oasis are a new entry at Number 4 with the live recording of their Knebworth 1996 gig. Their first UK Top 10 album in 11 years, the band’s greatest hits Time Flies 1994-2009 also re-enters the Top 40 at Number 36.
Further new entries in the Top 10 come courtesy of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss with their second collaboration album Raise The Roof (5), London rap collective D-Block Europe with mixtape Home Alone 2 (6) and Elbow’s Flying Dream 1 (7). James Blunt’s greatest hits collection The Stars Beneath My Feet (2004-2021) also debuts at Number 9 - catch up on James discussing the album on this week’s episode of our livestream series The Record Club in association with Bowers & Wilkins here.
Outside the Top 10, there are further new entries from Bruce Springsteen with live album The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts at Number 11, while Andre Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra debut at Number 12 with Happy Together. Meanwhile, glam rockers The Darkness are at Number 16 with Motorheart.
And we can officially say it’s Christmas time! Michael Bublé’s Christmas is this week’s biggest gainer on the Official Albums Chart, rising 39 places to Number 17. It follows the similar rise of Christmas classics from Mariah Carey and Wham! over on the Official Singles Chart as the most wonderful time of the year creeps closer.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s classical take on Motown - A Symphony of Soul debuts at Number 21 - their highest charting placement as a solo entity since 2004. Sting also earns his 21st UK Top 40 album with The Bridge at Number 27, and finally, U2’s ninth album Achtung Baby re-enters the Top 40 at Number 34 thanks to a 30th-anniversary boxset release. It previously peaked at Number 2 in 1991.
Official Singles Chart
Adele’s chart domination means her biggest competition, Ed Sheeran, slips in this week’s chart rundown. Shivers drops down to Number 3, while Bad Habits spends its 22nd week in the Top 10 at Number 5.
A final new entry in the Top 10 comes courtesy of British hip-hop collective D-Block Europe, whose new single Overseas ft. Central Cee finishes at Number 8. The group also secure two more spots in the Top 40 following the release of their Home Alone 2 mixtape, with No Competition climbing 17 positions to Number 22 and Funny Bunny Nails debuting at Number 35.
This week’s biggest chart jump comes courtesy of 17-year-old Nashville pop prodigy Gayle, whose track ABCDEFU rises 26 positions to Number 14. However, just missing out on the Top 20 is Niall Horan and Anne-Marie’s official Children in Need 2021 single Everywhere, a cover of the classic Fleetwood Mac song, at Number 23.
The Christmas season has officially started as festive classics by Mariah Carey and Wham! officially crack the Top 40. Having already spent two weeks inside the Top 100, Mariah’s All I Want For Christmas claims the highest position for a festive song, charting at Number 24. It marks the fifteenth consecutive year that AIWFCIY has re-entered the Official Chart - that's every year since 2007. Meanwhile, Wham!’s Last Christmas is hot on its heels, finishing at Number 28 on this week’s Official Singles Chart.
Finally, two climbers make their Top 40 debut this week: Where Are You Now by Lost Frequencies at Calum Scott zooms 11 spots to 39, and Imagine Dragons & JID’s Enemy vaults from 66 to 40 – the band’s ninth UK Top 40 hit.

Would have loved to see how many more songs she would have charted... :( dumb rules. She would've had 7 songs in the top 10... with Edx2 and Taylor occupying the other 3 slots. In other news, there's already 14 Christmas songs in the top 100. I expect there will be more next week. I wonder if Mariah can go #1 again this year or if Adele will hold on.

Plus Christmas classics by Mariah Carey and Wham! could also re-enter the Top 10 this Friday
Adele’s Easy On Me is battling for a seventh week at Number 1. Last week, it became her longest-running UK chart-topping single, overtaking Someone Like You and in our First Look update, Easy On Me looks set for another week at the top - its nearest competition is naturally Adele herself with I Drink Wine, which could vault two places to a new peak of Number 2.
Brighton rapper ArrDee is also eyeing up a new peak on the Official Singles Chart. As it stands, Flowers (Say My Name) could jump four places to Number 3. It would be a new high for the track, as well as ArrDee’s highest-ever peak on the chart so far.
With the start of December fast approaching, it also looks like Christmas classics by Mariah Carey and Wham! are about to re-enter the Top 10 for the first time this year. Currently, All I Want For Christmas Is You looks set to vault 18 spots to Number 6, while Last Christmas is up 19 to Number 9. Last year, both festive classics topped the Official Singles Chart for the first time since their respective releases in 1994 and 1984.
Sam Fender’s Seventeen Going Under could also continue to rise to a new peak on the Official Singles Chart. It’s currently tracking to rise two places to Number 7, which would make it Sam’s highest placement on the singles chart to date. Previously, the track became his first-ever to crack the Top 10.
Outside the Top 10, two more festive classics also look set to re-enter the Top 20 for the first time this year. Shakin’ Stevens could rise 33 to Number 19, while The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale of New York is currently looking to jump 24 places to Number 20.
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

Mariah Carey and Wham! also return to Singles Top 10 as a flurry of Christmas songs enter the chart.
Adele secures the Official Chart Double for a second week in a row.
Easy On Me scores a seventh consecutive week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with 69,000 chart sales, including 8.4 million streams, extending the tenure of her now longest-reigning Number 1 single.
Over on the Official Albums Chart, Adele’s acclaimed album 30 is still selling well in its second week after clocking 102,000 chart sales over the last seven days - including 81% of its total made up of physical and digital download copies.
Official Albums Chart
Westlife’s 12th studio album Wild Dreams debuts at Number 2, becoming their 14th Top 5 album, and extending their unbroken streak of Top 5 collections in the UK. Gary Barlow’s festive new album The Dream Of Christmas makes a Number 5 debut, Gary’s fifth Top 10 album as a solo artist.
Michael Bublé’s modern classic Christmas flies 11 places to Number 6, entering the Official Albums Chart Top 10 for its 11th consecutive year, landing just ahead of The Tears Of Hercules by Rod Stewart which rebounds six places to Number 7.
The Beatles’ Let It Be soars 41 places to Number 22 this week following the release of Peter Jackson’s three-part Disney+ Documentary about the making of the album, The Beatles: Get Back – their 1 album also flies this week, up 20 to Number 37.
Further down, A David Bowie boxset compilation Brilliant Adventure (1992-2001) lands at Number 24, Deep Purple’s new covers album Turning To Crime opens at Number 28, and Still Rising: The Collection by Gregory Porter rebounds 31 to Number 29 following a new vinyl release.
Finally, Blues rock band The Temperance Movement bow at Number 38 with Covers & Rarities, their fourth Top 40 collection in the UK.
Official Singles Chart
Adele’s Easy On Me could face tough competition over the coming weeks from a fast-rising new star.
Just three weeks ago, 17-year-old US singer Gayle earned her first-ever UK Top 40 entry with Abcdefu, and now the song vaults 12 places to Number 2, finishing ahead of strong competition from several contenders.
Festive beacons Mariah Carey and Wham! return to the Top 10 this week, with their festive classics All I Want For Christmas Is You (3) and Last Christmas (4) jumping 21 and 24 places respectively. It marks AIWFCIY’s 30th total week in the Official Top 10, and Last Christmas’ 27th.
Elsewhere in the Top 10 this week, Sam Fender’s Seventeen Going Under reaches a brand new peak of Number 8.
Christmas songs are also flooding back into the Official Singles Chart, with no less than 14 festive tracks climbing into the Top 40 this week. Outside Mariah and Wham! inside the Top 10, these are:
The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale of New York (16), Shakin’ Stevens’ Merry Christmas Everyone (17), Michael Bublé’s It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (20), Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (22), Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas? Finally, Imagine Dragons and JID rise six places this week with Enemy, taken from the Netflix series Arcane: League of Legends, reaching a new peak of Number 34.

Could the A-List pair dethrone Adele's Easy On Me?
Ed Sheeran & Elton John are heading straight for Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with their brand new single, Merry Christmas.
With more than double the chart sales of its closest competition – reigning Number 1, Easy On Me by Adele – the pair are sleigh-riding into success on the Official Chart: First Look. If the song can hold on, it will mark Ed Sheeran’s 12th total Number 1 single, and third this year, and Elton John’s 9th and second this year.
14 total Christmas songs are currently sitting in the Top 20 after 48 hours, including George Ezra’s Come On Home For Christmas, soaring 31 places to Number 5. If he holds on, it will mark George’s first Top 5 single since his 2018 Number 1 smash Shotgun.
Other festive hits set to rise into the Top 10 this week include The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl’s Fairytale Of New York (6), Shakin’ Stevens’ Merry Christmas Everyone (7), Michael Buble’s It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas (8) and Brenda Lee’s Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree (9).
British singer Olivia Dean could land her first Top 20 hit, and indeed her first Top 40, with her Amazon Originals cover of Nat King Cole’s classic The Christmas Song. The track has already rocketed 29 places so far this week to Number 17.
The remaining hits jingling their way into the First Look are: Band Aid – Do They Know It’s Christmas? (11), Elton John – Step Into Christmas (12), Kelly Clarkson – Underneath The Tree (14), Ariana Grande – Santa Tell Me (16) and Andy Williams – It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year (19).
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

Isn't "AIWFCIY" #3 on the chart? This makes it seem like it's #4.

Isn't "AIWFCIY" #3 on the chart? This makes it seem like it's #4. The "current" column is the First Look Position for this week, so that "LW" ends up being the position it had on Friday's singles chart. It's probably confusing because you would normally expect the left and right columns to be the opposite of what they are, kind of the way the steering wheel and direction are the opposite in the UK of what they are in the US.
