Quick question here: is there anyone who works on calculating and predicting the Year-End for the UK Singles Charts? If so, do you have data on songs that got caught between years, or information on songs below #100? Really curious about it, since as someone living in Europe (and currently studying in the UK), I would love to use the UK Charts as well as the Hot 100 for my personal Year-End lists. There was a YTD updated posted at the end of Q3: www.officialcharts.com/chart-news/official-top-40-biggest-songs-of-2021-so-far__32847/

Adele's new single makes a massive impact, and Coldplay earn three places in this week's Top 40.
Adele’s comeback is off to a record-breaking start as her new single Easy On Me soars straight to Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.
The singer’s third UK Number 1 single takes its crown with a massive 217,300 chart sales in its first week - the highest week 1 figure since Ed Sheeran’s Shape Of You, which earned 226,800 in January 2017.
Adele also breaks an Official UK Chart record with the single as Easy On Me racked up 24 million streams in the UK over the last seven days, the most streams for a song in one week – topping Ariana Grande’s record of 16.9 million set back in January 2019 with 7 Rings. Easy On Me also earns the biggest week of digital download sales of 2021 so far, with 23,500.
Easy On Me is Adele’s first new music in six years, and is the lead track from her upcoming album 30. Its release sparks a resurgence in streams of her back catalogue, sending two more of her hits back into the Top 40 this week; When We Were Young lands at Number 25, and Someone Like You bows at Number 34.
Meanwhile, Coldplay’s new album Music of the Spheres sends their recent BTS collaboration My Universe up ten places to Number 5, while Let Somebody Go with Selena Gomez enters at Number 24, and former Top 20 hit Higher Power rebounds to Number 26.
There are new peaks this week for Becky Hill & Topic’s My Heart Goes (La Di Da) (11), Doja Cat’s Woman (13), Dermot Kennedy’s Better Days (16) – which climbs eight to become the Irish singer’s fourth Top 20 single – and The Anxiety’s Meet Me At Our Spot (17).
Clean Bandit & Topic zoom up ten places to Number 28 with Drive ft. Wes Nelson, and finally, Ewan McVicar’s dance smash Tell Me Something Good climbs four places to a new peak at Number 30.

Plus there are new entries from Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd, ABBA and Digga D on this week's Official Charts First Look.
Adele is set for a second week at Number 1 with Easy On Me, currently tracking to top the Official Singles Chart once more.
Last week, the track broke UK chart records when it debuted at the top of the chart, with the highest first-week streams of any track in chart history. It's Adele's third UK Number 1 single, following Someone Like You (2011) and Hello (2015).
Becky Hill and Topic could jump up one place to Number 10 with My Heart Goes (La Di Da), following weeks of upward trajectory. It would be Becky’s fifth Top 10 single and Topic’s third.
Meanwhile outside the Top 10, Swedish House Mafia and the Weeknd could be in for this week’s highest new entry with their track Moth To A Flame. The slick synth-pop number is currently on course to debut at Number 12.
ABBA could also gain their 29th UK Top 40 single on Friday. Just A Notion, the latest single from their upcoming album Voyage, is heading for a Number 14 debut.
Released on November 5, Voyage has already broken pre-order records for ABBA's label Universal in the UK.
And finally, Digga D’s Red Light Green Light could be another new entry at Number 16. It would be the London rapper’s ninth UK Top 40 single.

Plus brand new entries from Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd, and Digga D.
Adele holds on to claim a second week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Easy On Me.
Across the last seven days, Easy On Me logged 103,000 chart sales including 11 million streams, comfortably keeping its place at the top of the chart following its record-breaking debut last week.
Meanwhile, The Anxiety climb five places with viral smash Meet Me At Our Spot to a new peak at Number 12, while Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd land this week’s highest new entry with Moth To A Flame at Number 15, marking The Weeknd’s 19th Top 20 single and Swedish House Mafia’s seventh – and first to chart in nine years since 2012’s Don’t You Worry Child.
Digga D also scores a Top 20 debut with Squid Game-inspired track Red Light Green Light, which lands at Number 17 to become the rapper’s ninth Top 40 single.
Further down, Ewan McVicar leaps nine places with dance smash Tell Me Something Good (21), Mimi Webb’s 24/5 (25) rebounds eight to its previous peak following the release of her new EP, rapper Arz climbs three with Alone With You (28) and Oliver Tree climbs seven with Life Goes On (33).
Finally, Craig David & MNEK make a Top 40 debut with new collab Who You Are at Number 39. The song is Craig David’s 25th Top 40 single and MNEK’s sixth - his first since 2020’s Number 1 summer smash Head & Heart with Joel Corry.

I love how we have Elton John, Coldplay, Swedish House Mafia, and Craig David in the top 40 - plus ABBA with a new charting song and re-entries from Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks (and the eternal presence of The Killers). I don't think anyone had this in their 2021 bingo card. 😄
Oliver Tree getting a top 40 hit and "Whip My Hair" songstress Willow returning to the mainstream 10 years later as one of the leaders of our current rock comeback were also highly unexpected but welcome surprises (moreso the latter - quality-wise).

Plus two Halloween favourite land in this week's Official Chart First Look.
The album’s latest single Overpass Graffiti is on track to debut at Number 1 this Friday (November 5), while former chart-toppers Shivers (2) and Bad Habits (5) are in the Top 5. Should it hold on, Ed could be celebrating his 12th UK Number 1 single, and third in 2021 alone.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, Adele’s Easy On Me drops to Number 3 after two weeks at the summit, and Becky Hill & Topic’s My Heart Goes (La Di Da) could climb into the Top 10, so far up one place to 10.
Scottish DJ/producer Ewan McVicar looks set to break into the Top 20 this week with Tell Me Something Good, lifting seven spots to 14, and Joel Corry’s new single I Wish Mabel starts at Number 20.
Finally, Halloween is having an impact on the Official Singles Chart today, with two spooky classics currently in the Top 20: Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr, originally a Number 2 hit in 1984, and Bobby Boris Pickett’s Monster Mash, a Number 3 smash in 1973.
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

I had no idea Halloween was popular enough in the UK to affect the charts. I'm listening to the top 40 UK Singles BBC radio show and Thriller was at #40 and Ghostbusters at #38. I would think there might be a few more songs further down the chart.

In a close battle against Ed Sheeran’s former chart-topper Shivers, Easy On Me takes Number 1 with 78,600 chart sales - a lead of just 3,200 chart sales.
Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran takes the next three places on the Official Singles Chart, with Shivers (2), Bad Habits (3) and brand new song Overpass Graffiti (4) – the biggest digital download of the week with 23,400 sales – thanks to the release of his album, =.
The Anxiety, AKA Willow Smith & Tyler Cole, climb two to land in the Top 10 at Number 10 with Meet Me At Our Spot, Tyler’s first Top 10 and Willow’s second following her debut single Whip My Hair back in 2010.
Elsewhere in the Top 20 Scottish producer/DJ Ewan McVicar climbs six to Number 15 with Tell Me Something Good – his first ever Top 20 hit.
D-Block Europe are back with No Competition at Number 18, the duo’s seventh Top 20, and South London newcomer SwitchOTR earn his first Top 40 hit with Coming For You ft. A1 & J1, which debuts at Number 20.

ArrDee is heading for this week's highest new entry with Flowers (Say My Name).
Ed Sheeran is up against Adele once again for this week’s Number 1 single on the Official Chart: First Look, one week after releasing his now chart-topping album = (Equals).
Ed’s smash hit Shivers is at the top of today’s first look, but with just 500 chart sales between Shivers and reigning Number 1 Easy On Me by Adele, it’s all to play for.
Currently tracking to be the highest new entry on this week’s chart, Brighton rapper ArrDee is at Number 6 with Flowers (Say My Name). Interpolating Sweet Female Attitude’s Flowers and Destiny’s Child’s Say My Name, the song is set to become ArrDee’s third Top 10 single in the UK.
Further down, Travis Scott is at 17 with Escape plan, while Clean Bandit, Topic and Wes Nelson climb eight spots to Number 18 on the First Look with Drive – a new peak for the song if it can hold on until Friday’s Official Singles Chart.
Finally, Summer Walker & SZA team up for No Love (20) from Summer’s new album Still Over It. If it stays on track it will mark Summer Walker’s highest charting single to date, and SZA’s fifth Top 20 single.
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

Plus new entries from ArrDee, Post Malone and The Weeknd and Summer Walker.
Adele secures a fourth consecutive week atop the Official Singles Chart with Easy On Me.
Easy On Me lands at Number 1 after another closely-fought battle with Ed Sheeran’s Shivers, which holds again at Number 2, with just 2,000 chart sales separating the two songs. Ed also has two further singles in the Top 10; Bad Habits (3) and Overpass Graffiti(6).
Meanwhile, this week’s highest new entry goes to Brighton rapper ArrDee, who debuts at Number 5 with Flowers (Say My Name). Not only is it the 19-year-old’s third UK Top 10 single in less than six months, it’s also his highest-peaking entry on the Official Singles Chart yet.
Outside the Top 10, SwitchOTR’s Coming For You ft. A1 x J1 rises six places to a new peak of Number 14, as Clean Bandit & Topic ft. Wes Nelson’s Drive jumps nine to reach a new peak of Number 17, and Joel Corry & Mabel also reach a new peak this week with I Wish, up four to Number 19.
New in at Number 20 are Post Malone & The Weeknd with One Right Now – Post Malone’s highest charting single since 2019, and The Weeknd’s fifth Top 20 single this year - while Sam Fender’s Seventeen Going Under surges up 21 places to Number 22 making it his highest-peaking single yet.
There are yet more new entries from Travis Scott with Escape Plan (23), Summer Walker and SZA with No Love (24) and Silk Sonic’s Smokin’ Out The Window (28).
Amaarae’s viral track Sad Girlz Luv Money featuring Moliy ascends a massive 50 places to reach Number 29 - both artists’ first Top 40 entry on the UK charts. Justin Bieber’s Ghost also gains a new peak this week, rising three places to Number 36.
Finally, US DJ Acraze is up 21 places withDo It To It featuring girl group Cherish at Number 39, Acraze’s first UK Top 40 entry and Cherish’s second, and first in 15 years.

ABBA opening with 200k is insane. Since Platinum certification is like 300k in The UK, that's the equivalent of like 650k in The US

The UK sure loves that pesky foursome- and rightfully so. Great to see such big numbers for album sales.

Taylor Swift also eyes this week's highest new entry with All Too Well (10 Minute Version).
Adele and Ed Sheeran are set to battle it out once again for the top spot on the Official Singles Chart this week, with just 1,000 chart sales currently separating Easy On Me and Shivers. As it currently stands, Easy On Me remains on top for a possible fifth consecutive week at Number 1, but it could all change on the run up to Friday.
Taylor Swift eyes this week’s highest new entry with All Too Well (10 Minute Version), taken from her re-recording of her fourth album Red (Taylor’s Version). The expanded version of All Too Well currently sits at Number 7, while she also has two further entries in this week’s top 20; State of Grace (Taylor’s Version) (9) and Red (Taylor’s Version) (18).
After several weeks of being on the precipice, this week could be the time for Becky Hill and Topic to finally ascend to the Top 10 with My Heart Goes (La Di Da), currently teasing a jump up to Number 10.
Outside the Top 10, Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars’ Silk Sonic look set to jump 17 places with Smokin’ Out The Window to a new peak of Number 11, as Ewan McVicar’s Tell Me Something Good could also be up two spots to a new peak of Number 13.
And finally, there could be two further new entries in the Top 20 this week; Little Mix eye up a Number 19 debut with new track No, as Juice Wrld’s Already Dead tracks to enter at Number 20.
The Official Singles Chart Top 100 is revealed on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Follow the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1’s Official Chart show with Scott Mills.

I want Little Mix to get the #1 album this week so badly but I don't see it happening with Red TV happening at the same time. :(

Then again, that means it wouldn't take into account LM's either. I have my fingers crossed for the girls.

No way Taylor's label doesn't ship like 5k signed copies on a plane or something to secure that #1. I love both acts but tbh Little Mix needs the win more right now.

30k signed CDs were added to Taylor's total today lmao it's over. She has a 2x lead of Little Mix now (and ABBA are ahead of LM now too).
