Right you are, but before you knew me I also charted "So Hott" Nice knowing ya! Guess it's true, Drindie will literally chart anything with sex and a guitar in it.

Ballot Update #4 Starring: Pale Shelter , Red , @humanshazam Helllooooooooo and welcome to our fourth Ballot Update! We have three new people in our midst, as Bangwave, Red, and humanshazam have now submitted! Don't worry American Idiot , you'll be the first list in the next update! We got some changes ahead of us, so let's get down to business.
- Last ballot update saw us keep the same #1, as it was the same from the end of the second update and through the last one. Well, that has changed now. Bangwave changed the #1, and it stayed the same through Red and humanshazam's lists. Our former #1 doesn't have to fear, as it is down to #2. - Our Top 10 has pretty remained pretty similar through another ballot update. Only one new song in this ballot update, and it's a returning song. - We only have one song left that has stuck around the Top 10 the entire time, and it currently sits at #3. It'll take some tanking to knock that out. - Moving down to the bottom 10, it is looking more and more concrete. The songs in the high 80s and low 90s have been shuffling around, but it's been the same twelve or so songs that have been moving around in the bottom 10. Only one new song comes in from the last ballot update, and it's actually a song that hadn't been in it prior to this update. - Surprisingly (or maybe not surprisingly?), our bottom 5 is the exact same through this update as it was in the last. - Our bottom 4 at least looks to be set, barring any random Top 10 placements of these. - Getting into points, our Top 4 are all above 1,000 points now. The rest of the Top 10 is in the 900s, and then some afterwards. - Our bottom 10 ranges from 0-400, so there's a bit of a gap between stuff. - Our bottom 4 has not hit 200 points yet. - The #100 continues to deeply struggle, as it is behind by a lot. - On the standard deviation of things, our highest is currently at #22 (a new song), while our lowest is the still the same song, but it has moved up to #33.
And of course, we still have time for everyone's favorite part of the ballot update!

The ties have gone up from last update. Rejoice! We currently have ties at #30, #34, #49, #57, #74, and #84.
Until next time....

Alice in Chains will never get a 1-star from me. I don't hate any of their songs. Just don't really care much for most of them. That one 1-star song is probably the same ranking at #100 as most others.

Feels weird not to have Imagine Dragons; song, for me to tank. What should I base my #100 song on? The most unmelodic, ugly vocals. Decisions decisions..

Ballot Update #5 Starring: American Idiot , Cody , Sambalada Helllooooooooo and welcome to our fifth Ballot Update! We have a new set of three people, and man, did they ever shake some things up. Meet your new stars: American Idiot, rankdown first-timer Cody, and Sam!
- Our #1 stayed the same through this ballot update, as it's the same song that was the #1 in the last ballot update. The Top 2 are starting to distance themselves away from everyone else, so they seem like they could be our top two songs in the end. Unless we have some tankers in our midst. - Our Top 10 is keeping pretty constant these days. Though, this time two new song enter the Top 10. They're both re-entries into the Top 10, and one of them was actually #1 at a point before falling out of the Top 10 completely a few lists after it was at #1. - Yet again, only a one song difference in the bottom 10 this update, and it's a song that had been in it before. - Despite the same songs in the bottom 10 for the most part, quite a bit of movement occurred. - A new song has entered the bottom 3, but it's revisiting there after spending a ballot update above it. - It's in the middle regions we see songs take some leaps and some steep falls with this particular set of people. - Quite a few songs take over a 15-position jump. One of those songs? It was nearly in the bottom 10 last update, and now it's completely out of the bottom 25. - I don't think any songs took a 15-position drop, but there are a few songs in the double digits nonetheless. - Let's move onto points! Almost our entire Top 25 is above 1,000 points now. - Almost our entire bottom 4 have hit 200 points, with the exception of our #100. That one hit a new milestone though! - Our highest standard deviation and lowest standard deviation have been changed. Our highest is at #58, while our lowest is at #99.
And of course, we still have time for everyone's favorite part of the ballot update!

Sorry guys, our ties have gone down for this update. It's easier on me, but less fun for you. We currently have ties at #26, #35, #57.
Until next time.....

But be our guest =] I certainly won't be tanking "So Hott" I'm torn on that one. Great melodic guitars riffs, but Kid Rock's vocals are not that good at all. I most likely upgraded it a bit for the music video.

Ahh I'm behind in this because of my own rankdown and accidentally listening to the 2006 list, but I'll try to get this in!

Ballot Update #6 Starring: Blurry , alexcuse , Lordef†ones Hellllllooooooooo and welcome to our sixth Ballot Update! Three new people have decided to star in this update. Meet your new friends! We have everyone's least favorite poster Blurry , everyone's favorite rock poster alexcuse , and the always high Lordef†ones !
- Starting things off at #1, our #1 is still the same yet again. It has been on top for nine consecutive lists. Even with this being on top for awhile now, #2 is still right behind it – in fact, it's only 15 points behind. - Our Top 3 may actually be settled now, as they are all over 100 points ahead of the #4. - The Top 10 is keeping up the pattern of the last updates, as only one new song enters the Top 10, and it was a song that fell out at the end of the fifth update. The song that fell out was a song that was making a comeback, but it fell out following one of the lists here. It's still in the game for a Top 10 placing however. - Moving into the bottom 10, our 10 magical songs are still the same from the last update. Even the bottom 5 is still the same, and all in the same positions. - In the middle regions, we see some songs with interesting movements. A couple songs that are now in the Top 30 have moved over 10 positions up into the Top 30. - One song that I am looking at took a stumble. It was nearly Top 20 at the end of the last update...it is now out of the Top 40. Good job tanking it guys! - Let's move into point values – our Top 3 are all above the 1,500 point range, while the whole Top 10 is above 1,300. - Our next song under 1,000 points is allllll the way down at #49. - In our bottom 10, things still look quite outstanding. Only two songs are above 500 points, and our bottom 3 has still yet to break the seal of 300 points. - Our highest standard deviation has changed songs, as now the highest standard deviation is at #57. I will hint and say this is a song I wasn't necessarily thinking would be that high of a standard deviation in general. - The lowest standard deviation has also changed, as now the song at #96 is our lowest. This one doesn't surprise me, lol.
And of course, we still have time for everyone's favorite part of the ballot update!

We are still stuck at just three ties in this ballot update as well. We see our three ties at: #46, #73, and #78.
Until next time......

Despite my absolutely putrid bottom five, this is a pretty great year. Possibly my favorite year so far next to 2013. I think all the way down to #83 are songs I like. There's a lot of artists in my bottom 50 that I'm just mad at myself for having them so low but the competition is too fierce. Even some of my usual suspects missed out on my top ten. It's also interesting to view this as a retrospective and see how some of these bands fared ten years after. Linkin Park certainly had their ups and downs...Ten years after was kind of a rough year.. Finger Eleven never made music again. I think? Someone quote me on that. Papa Roach released like eight albums since 2007 and had like 40 hits on Active so they're going pretty well (though I feel their quality has diminished) Breaking Benjamin are still going strong today. I consider these guys the AC/DC of modern hard rock. Yeah, it's the same album but it's not bad? R.I.P. White Stripes. (Still waiting for Meg White to replace Jack with Bill Murray and record music as just Stripes) 30STM have certainly steadily gone downhill for me. Listening to from Yesterday legitimately made me sad. Leto, what happened? 3DG... Don't get me started.. Plain White T's sound just like their band name I just realized. RHCP still kill it to this day. Then again their career spans like 30 years yet they've maintained consistency. Incubus pretty much had their strongest era this year imo. Trust Fall had potential but no one caught them. Foo Fighters are still Foo Fighters thank GROHL. Muse.... Oh dear god, Muse, what happened to you.. MCR was my favorite band this year. Now one of their songs is in my bottom 20. It was just a phase. Smashing Pumpkins released their worst album this year and probably killed their radio career which is a shame cause their last two albums were amazing. Rise Against still remains the only time I ever bought an album that I knew only one song on. Prayer of the Refugee was just that good. They never topped Sufferer & Witness for me. Fall out Boy started bad and then proceeded to continually blow my mind at how bad they could get. At the time, I thought this era was atrocious and didn't think they could get worse. Oh. My. God. Tool had ten years to make a new album. I no longer expect there to be another Tool album, this is what we've got. +44 should've been the Blink side project to have multiple albums rather than Angels and Airwaves. Amy Winehouse should've gone to rehab. She also shouldn't have been on Alt.

Ballot Update #7 Starring: rowellfarm490 , Doc Indie Party Rock , lyhom Hellllllloooooooo and welcome to our seventh Ballot Update! We have another three people to star in this update. Say hello to our new entrants! We have king of rankdown closeness rowellfarm490 , Mr. John Hinder himself, Doc Indie Party Rock , and our 'pop poster' friend lyhom !
- Shall we start at #1? For the first time since Ballot Update #3, we have a new #1! This is a returning song at the top spot. It had previously led for six lists before giving way to our former #1, which held down the fortress for ten consecutive lists, and another sprinkled in at the beginning. Our former #1 is currently down at #2, and it is around 40 points away, so it still has a shot. - As has been normal, our Top 10 holds close to the same songs. Only one new entry is in the Top 10 this go round, and it is actually a song that hadn't been in the Top 10 before. - Remember the song that had spent all its time in the Top 10? Well, it still holds, as it is in the Top 10 through 22 lists, but it's worth noting the song got docked down a bit due to someone's list, so there's is a decent shot it might not hold it. It is edging closer to being outside of the Top 10 if enough unfavorable rankings come in. - Our bottom 10 got another new entrant, and this is a song that had spent time in the bottom 10 before, but it slithered its way out and was able to narrowly avoid it each update until now. - An interesting stat, the bottom 4 has consisted of the same four songs for 14 consecutive lists now. #98 and #99 switched from the last update. - There's nothing too extravagant on the movement end, but there are a few songs that have increased / decreased by 10+ positions in the middle. - Moving into points, our Top 3 is almost all above 1,800 points (our #3 is a few points shy). #4 is over 100 points away, so I'm thinking our Top 3 might be set. The rest of the Top 10 is all above 1,500 points. - Right now, everything from #65 and above are over 1,000 points. - Our bottom 10 is pretty laughable at this point, as nothing is above 650 points. Our bottom 3 hasn't even nailed down 400 points. - Our highest standard deviation is still the same song as last update, but it moved up one position to #56. The lowest standard deviation is the same song as well, but it has moved up to #94 this time!
And of course, we still have time for everyone's favorite part of the ballot update!

We are losing our ties, as now there are only two at #62 and #69 (nice). I guess this makes my job easier!
This may be our last ballot update as we are nearing our deadline. If I get three more lists before tomorrow, I will do another – if not, see you guys for the reveal!

I'm familiar with about two thirds of the songs, so this should be an easy rankdown for me to complete. I'll get to work on it later today, and I should have it by the deadline, but I'll post here before 8PM Eastern if I need a couple of extra hours.

Those of you in the Discord server are already aware of this - but for those who aren't, I've been working on a project for the past two weeks or so. I'm trying to compile a list of every song that went top 50 on Mediabase's Alt radio chart but didn't make the top 40 on Billboard's chart (they're completely separate entities, which is why there's a few songs that made the top 40 on Mediabase but not on Billboard). Just as a sneak peek, here are the 26 songs that met this criteria during the 2007 chart year (Dec. 2006-Nov. 2007): - Placebo feat. Alison Mosshart - "Meds" [8 weeks on chart including 2006, peaked at #41 on 12/10/2006]
- Foo Fighters - "Skin and Bones" [1 week on chart, peaked at #49 on 12/24/2006]
- Hinder - "How Long" [5 weeks on chart, peaked at #43 on 01/28/2007]
- Brand New - "Sowing Season (Yeah)" [5 weeks on chart, peaked at #48 on 02/04/2007]
- Guster - "Satellite" [7 weeks on chart, peaked at #42 on 02/04/2007]
- Dropping Daylight - "Tell Me" [5 weeks on chart, peaked at #45 on 03/11/2007]
- Regina Spektor - "Fidelity" [5 weeks on chart, peaked at #45 on 02/25/2007]
- Say Anything - "Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too" [10 weeks on chart, peaked at #40 on 03/18/2007]
- Skillet - "The Older I Get" [4 weeks on chart, peaked at #43 on 03/18/2007]
- Sevendust - "Driven" [7 weeks on chart, peaked at #46 on 04/15/2007]
- Kings of Leon - "On Call" [4 weeks on chart, peaked at #43 on 04/29/2007]
- Daughtry - "What I Want" [7 weeks on chart, peaked at #44 on 07/08/2007]
- Yellowcard - "Light Up the Sky" [9 weeks on chart, peaked at #41 on 06/25/2007]
- Bad Religion - "Honest Goodbye" [7 weeks on chart, peaked at #41 on 07/08/2007]
- Fiction Plane - "Two Sisters" [8 weeks on chart, peaked at #44 on 07/15/2007]
- Saosin - "You're Not Alone" [6 weeks on chart, peaked at #47 on 08/05/2007]
- Hot Hot Heat - "Let Me In" [9 weeks on chart, peaked at #40 on 08/26/2007
- Fuel - "Wasted Time" [3 weeks on chart, peaked at #49 on 08/19/2007]
- Editors - "An End Has a Start" [7 weeks on chart, peaked at #45 on 09/16/2007]
- Velvet Revolver - "The Last Fight" [7 weeks on chart, peaked at #39 on 10/14/2007]
- Fall Out Boy - "'The Take Over, the Breaks Over'" [1 week on chart, peaked at #50 on 09/16/2007]
- She Wants Revenge - "True Romance" [1 week on chart, peaked at #48 on 10/07/2007]
- Hellyeah - "Alcohaulin' Ass" [6 weeks on chart, peaked at #40 on 11/04/2007]
- VHS or Beta - "Can't Believe a Single Word" [4 weeks on chart, peaked at #45 on 11/04/2007]
- The Almost - "Southern Weather" [9 weeks on chart including 2008, peaked at #44 on 12/16/2007]
- Biffy Clyro - "Living Is a Problem Because Everything Dies" [3 weeks on chart including 2008, peaked at #46 on 11/25/2007]
What are you sad to see miss out? Personally, from what I've heard on this list, there's 11 songs that would make my top 50 (the highest of which would be "Sowing Season", which would have been at least in my top 15). On the contrary, one of these songs would have been my #100 had it made it onto the actual list.

"Sowing Season" is an obvious one, but "Living Is A Problem" would have been top five for me in 2007 (and that's in a pretty stacked year), and "On Call" is among my favorite KoL songs.

"Satellite" and "Sowing Season" were robbed. "Honest Goodbye", "On Call", and "An End Has A Start" were good too, and I remember liking the VHS or Beta song, although I don't remember what it sounded like. "Fidelity" is also a cool song, but it didn't really fit the state of the format at the time (and I like it more now than I did then).
I haven't heard "Alcohaulin' Ass", but considering the title and what I have heard of this band, I'm guessing it would give "So Hott" a run for its money.

I'd have liked 'What I Want' by Daughtry to make it in, but ehh. It's on the list for Active I think, so it's not like I'm missing out altogether.

Don't know most of the songs peacebone posted, but Sowing Season (Yeah) would've been in my top 10 for sure, possibly top 5.
